Over 25 years ago, while living in Miami, my Mom decided to have her two piece oriental style cabinet painted professionally from a brown color to a glazed pink-peach color to match the tropical appearance in her apartment. After 25 years her favorite piece had cracked paint and numerous paint chips. After having my now-deceased Mom's cabinet shipped 1500 miles here to Delaware, I had a difficult time finding someone to restore it. Fortunately, I found Leonard. He took part of the cabinet to his paint company to scan and match the color peach-pink tropical color. Leonard carefully, sanded it, finished it, and did a great job restoring it. The finished piece looked great. It was an heirloom and I had planned to pass this on to my daughter. Eleven months later after, the paint started cracking in some new places. This is probably due to the unique type of paint that he used. I contacted Leonard and let him know about the cracking. He recently called me and said that he stands by his work and will strip it and refinish it again as soon as he moves to his new location.
We asked Leonard to refinish our antique dining room set. It's a family heirloom dating back about 150 years across generations of our family. He did a spectacular job at a very reasonable cost. Trust is a hard commodity to find in business today, especially with a family heirloom. Leonard is not only talented but also trustworthy. We highly recommend him for your refinishing needs.

Leonard repaired and refinished a display cabinet that belonged to my grandmother. The piece was in a fragile condition and has quirks that made the whole process challenging. But the finished piece is astonishing. It’s so beautiful. Leonard went above and beyond to make this cabinet usable again, all while staying within the quoted price. We have been bringing furniture here for refinishing for a few years. We have never been disappointed. Mr. Lenny has done a fantastic job on all of the pieces we've brought to him, he has surpassed our expectations more than once!! Will be back again.
Had a vintage maple dining table and 4 chairs refinished in a 2-tone color scheme (stained table top and chair seats with black table apron / legs and black seat backs and legs). Was initially quoted a price range by phone (based on pics) and then given a price quote upon dropping the set off, which was within the estimated range originally quoted. Along with completing a beautiful refinishing job, he repaired the following problems he found along the way: filled a cracked area on the table top, repaired a chair leg that a dog had used as a chew toy decades ago, and replaced a piece of wood on the underside of the table that had been poorly and unprofessionally repaired long ago. Even with those unexpected repairs, the final price remained the same as quoted. He sent me progress pictures throughout the stripping and refinishing process which was thoughtful. Even though I live outside of the normal pickup and delivery area, he delivered the finished product to me in his truck at no extra cost to assure that it would not be damaged by transporting it in my mid-sized SUV as I had done with the drop off. I now have durable dining set (built in the 1950's to last a lifetime) that has been given a stunning face lift to bring its look into the current century. I highly recommend Kent Island Refinishing based on Lenny's outstanding customer service and expertise in his craft!!
