My family has done business with John and Paula for over 10 years. Paula is organized and is highly reliable with researching parts needed for cars . She gets back to us in 24 hours or less - more often the same day. She also calls if it’s time for an inspection sticker . Very much appreciated . Kind. John explains reason for need for parts or repair. Patiently explains . He gives alternative approaches for repairs or work. He’s honest and will be upfront if the work is not helpful or if a referral for somewhere else is needed. I depend on his opinion. Excellent work ethic . Prices are reasonable in today’s market.

2016 Ford F250 SD: Just Awesome! I went to Top Notch and had my truck tuned-up, a tie-rod replaced and complete brake job/ rebuild. They did a perfect job, and ensured I had the correct parts, at the best price. Everyone there is very nice, very helpful and extremely professional. I have found my local mechanic for any future auto needs! They have even helped me diagnose problems and advise me on how to properly utilize systems on my truck, whenever I ask Look no further!

I'm the fleet manager of a large remediation and construction company out of New Hampshire. We had a van break down up that way and had to send it to a local shop. Boy did we pick the RIGHT SHOP!! John was very thorough with his diagnosis and kept me informed every step of the way. He went above and beyond sourcing parts when we struck out on local availability. Our van is back on the road making money and I am confident that it was fixed RIGHT by a PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIAN at a price that was more than fair. We do a lot of work in this area and they will get any business I can send them.

I knew my brakes were acting a little funny. TopNotch found everything that was wrong, fixed it, did an operational check and returned my vehicle to me with the brakes working good as new. I would recommend them to anyone.

I can’t recommend this place highly enough, I was in a pinch when my car wouldn’t start and I need to get to an important event. John came out to the house to take a look so I didn’t have to tow the car. I am so grateful to these guys - their rates also seem very reasonable compared to other places I’ve been to. I simply called to ask for help, if they would be willing to loosen 3 stuck bolts on an exhaust connection since I was unable to free them. The secretary was openly excessively rude and very unprofessional (badmouthing me on the open line for me to hear, to the owner in the background) and them passed me off to the owner to ask. He at least was more helpful in divulging some basic information but ultimately refused to help, hiding behind legal reasons. I afterwards researched the parts and confirmed they are legally compliant so no fear of an issue ... simply tried to scare me into their full install or nothing at all. Pretty sad. I'll never go to them for anything because of this, was a bit shocked.

Honest, professional service. I had them troubleshoot several issues on a vehicle with 260K miles. They gave me a list of things that should and could be fixed, then advised me not to put more money into a vehicle with so many miles. He showed me where frame rust was a concern and suggested several options. The best option was to donate the vehicle to the Sanford Regional Technical Center. it is now being used by students learning automotive repairs.

These guys are awesome!! I just bought a used van that needed a lot of work. They were through inspecting the van and giving me a detailed estimate in a timely fashion on everything it needed done, and squeezed me into their schedule right away! My favorite part of this shop is the owner’s communication! He called to let me know what was going on every step of the way. This will forever be my go to garage, and it should be yours too!

Definitely recommend to everyone. They are extremely genuine and so caring. I have never been treated so well at a garage before. Me and my husband were both impressed, and can't imagine going anywhere else now.

Best place to go. Paula, John and the rest of the staff are great. Very knowledgeable and best of all they are truthful with their assessments and don't try to oversell you just to make an extra buck...

I have been taking my last three vehicles to John, Paula and their team for around the past 10 years. I even bought my last vehicle from them. I would not go or recomend anywhere else. They are truly the best and most honest place around for all auto repairs. If you are looking for someone to slap a bandaid on your car, go somewhere else. If you are looking to drive away feeling safe, knowing all repairs were done properly, then Top Notch is definitely the shop you want to use.

Got us in quickly and did a major repair job within days! Price was great and everyone was helpful and friendly.

My husband and I have been bringing out vehicles to Top Notch since we moved to town 4 years ago. They are very honest, provide great customer service, and do excellent work. We are appreciative of their attention to detail and never trying to sell us something we do not need. When I needed service records they were happy to email all of them to me. They are also wonderful at working around your schedule and theirs.

Why this place has five stars is beyond me. The owner has ripped me off every single time I’ve gone there. You go in for one thing, next thing you know he tells you that you have to pay for 100 things to get that one thing done...which is extremely inconvenient if you’re vehicle is immobile and stuck there. I’ve brought my vehicle there to have fixed and when it was done and I picked it up, 10 new things are wrong with it. The owner is a con artist, I’m telling you. See for yourself I guess?

I have been getting my vehicles serviced by John and his team for several years now and I would not want to go anywhere else. Top Notch's rates are definitely not the lowest in town, but you get what you pay for. I have no problem with paying up for the amount of professionalism, knowledge and customer service that I get when I go there. Everyone there seems to know everything about the cars they work on and the people who drive them, which makes for a very pleasant experience. John and his team are very thorough and make sure that the job is done right and the vehicles they work on are safe and screwed together properly.

Always had a good experience here. The owner was always detailed with the diagnosis of my vehicles (more then one) and offerded different options for the repairs if availible. Also if there was an issue with a repair he would go out of his way to make it right. I always feel confident when i pay my bill knowing I got good quality work when I leave his place of business.

I've been taking my vehicles to Top Notch Automotive for years. They have always been honest and fair with me and I have complete confidence in the abilities of their service techs to do the job right. They have done a great job keeping my two Hondas, Chevy, Ford, and Saturn running over the years. They do my oil changes and I have had them replace tires, brakes, an A/C compressor, timing belts on several of my vehicles as well as perform power steering diagnosis and repair. I've been going there for a long time and I have never seen their shop rate as high as $75/hr as another reviewer had stated. They know what they are doing and have earned my continued business.
