Came here at 1230 on Wednesday to go in the yard for parts and we were told they "only do parts on Saturday" and that he's only interested in crushing and when we asked if we could just check out the lot he said "what'd I just say" with an awful attitude. Super rude and unfriendly. Definitely would not recommend.
If you need a tow or selling your car, THIS Is the company to use. They made me feel like I was the only person they were concentrating on. Kirb Side Auto Salvage has the hardworking, polite, and super Customer Service staff.
Its $10 to get in, fact that you can use it for a part they might have is beside the point. No inventory, no rhyme or reason to placement of vehicles. Part prices are high. Want to buy one of the “desirable” full cars they have? They think they are gold plated platinum. Fully rotted 3 door 67 suburban. Did not run, and needed extensive replacement sheetmetal. $5000. Paid maybe $450 for it. Sat in the front lot for years before i asked about it. Not interested in negotiating.
Go to any of the other auto salvage yards in Maine. Don’t waste your time here.
These people have a lot of issues.
They made me an offer for my vehicle, told me the day time of pickup, and they made me waste 3 hours for them, and they never call or showed up.
I call them, and they never pick up the calls.
If you want to junk your car, go somewhere else.
I sold the car to These people, they told me that they will pick it up from 1 to 4 that they will call me 30 minutes before the arrival for my surprise, they never call, and they never sowed up. I have been calling them, and they never picked up my calls.
Sell your junk car somewhere else.
Wow this place was so cool! There are lots of cars to pick from. The guys here were all so friendly and helpful. I brought my own tools to get a seat out and the very last bolt I struggled with, I kinda rounded the bolt a bit. The guys/ workers came over to help me out (they probably saw I was struggling) and they helped me get the seat out. Prices were great and really fair. It is $10 to get in but you get reimbursed that if you buy something.
I went to ask about a motor and got an outrageous price. Went back the next day to ask for some help because I needed a few days to get the money and was told they “tried to help me but they don’t want to deal with it anymore and is just gonna crush it”. Very rude considering I’ve gone there for years and never had an issue. I’ve never argued about prices once, and yet was treated poorly. They obviously don’t care too much about business, or the money. I will now go elsewhere to buy parts for my truck.
Went there looking for parts for an old Mercedes diesel and found two right off the Rip. Gabe was more than helpful and pointed me in the right direction to find them. By far the best prices around on used parts and probably the best selection around for antique car parts. Would highly recommend and will be back without a doubt
Went in looking for some trim parts for my black 2002 Nissan Xterra XE V6. To my liking, I was able to scavange some parts off of a silver 2002 SE Supercharged edition which fit perfectly on mine. Normally parts like a top crossbar and three wheel well fenders would easily run me $150 brand new. When Gabe told me $25 for all four pieces, I was sold right then and there. As long as you put down your name on their sign-in sheet and tell them what part(s) you are particularly looking for off of what model car, they have no problem letting you browse their yard. This is a very professional organization and it's staff are extremly wonderful and hospitable. I will be sure to come back very soon for all of my pick and pull salavge needs!
Great place for parts plus selling them your junk vehicles. Very nice truck drivers and they give you a great wad of cash for your junk! Thank you Kirbside for helping me clean up the yard!
If you have a full-size gm vehicle this place has a great selection. They could use a little organization as climbing through the miles was pretty daunting. However, great selection and reasonably priced. I will be back!
Gabe is super helpful at Kirb side auto, I highly recommend too all my friends! He has so many vehicles to get parts off of and always has a great deal! I highly appreciate the help he gives me when looking for parts!
Spring thaw and muddy, yes. But I found 3 C-Class and 3 E-Class Mercedes at a pick-and-pull in Southern Maine with all the parts I needed (good prices). If you go on Saturday, get there by 9. By 10:00, the parking lot is jammed.
Gabe was very reasonable with the parts I pulled. While they didn't have a lot of the model I was looking for, there were a few and I was directed accurately to find them.
Mud was deep, however, given mud season has started. I was not entirely prepared for that, but that's on me. Walking around the side of the yard was helpful on the way back.
I'll definitely be back. I had to leave a few parts behind due to my lack of tools.
Visited kirb side today looking for parts for my 92x. I found two of them with little trouble; they have lots of different makes and models and are always rotating out vehicles. Pricing was a great value and a lot cheaper than any other option. Bring your rubber boots because it was pretty muddy getting around. Can't wait to go back
I have been buying parts from Gabe for a number of years. He is a great guy to deal with and his prices are very reasonable.
Only complaint is the selection of 02-07 Subaru turbo models.
Went down on a whim looking for a rim. Met Gabe got great service for pick and pull. Be sure to bring tools though. Found more than we came for. For less than a larger yard. So please give a call. Great service.

Terrible guy told me that even though I drove well over an hour he didn't care about selling parts and to come back another day. Im not normaly bothered by rudeness but wow I though they would have at least wanted to sell me the parts that I never did get.
This place is a life saver... Gabe is extremely helpful in finding vehicles and parts for you, and has the absolute best prices on parts around. I have been here several times and I always end up leaving with more than I planned, and spending less than I had in mind.
When you see the employees assisting a blind man and his wife find parts on a below freezing day in January, you know you're dealing with a good business. Great job guys.
Gabe was very responsive to all communication prior to us purchasing tires. Tires were just as described and in great condition for a great price. Will definitely use Kirb Side again!
I’ve had nothing but great experiences with them. Gabe is always so helpful and the prices are hard to beat! I was able to get a used engine from them and my boyfriend gets parts from them all the time for a great deal. Always recommend!

I’ve been going to this place for over a year now to buy parts and this place beats any other yard in Maine by far. They’re always getting new cars and Gabe is always there for any questions/sales.
I'd rate them 0 stars if I could. They are rude and disrespectful. I bought an odometer cluster from them. Asked if I could just plug it into my truck in the parking lot to see if that would fit my truck. They said no. I had to go somewhere else to and if it didn't work I could bring it back. Well it didn't fit and they won't take it back. Paid for something that's going right in the garbage! Do not go here. Go somewhere else first.
I've had occasion to use Kirb Side Auto Salvage a couple of times now. Both times I got used items of excellent quality for my vehicle at what I feel to be very fair prices. The service was fantastic. If you don't call ahead you might have a wait because most often a part will need to be removed from a salvaged vehicle. I do highly recommend Kirb Side Auto and suggest calling them if you find the cost of new parts more than you want to pay.
Always helpful, if they have the car they will get the part for you. Be sure to look over what you're getting because well it's a junk yard not an auto parts store. These guys put the "re" in recycle. Give them a call ahead of time!
