Great resort with an excellent mix of trail levels and experience for everyone. Not as much of a big commercial resort vibe as many others of similar size. Definitely worth checking out. Midweek was a dream.

Unfortunately it was not the most pleasant experience. The gondola stuff was rude, he got irritated that we were not as fast as he wanted. As soon as I’m a beginner I took a private lesson with instructor. He was not very professional and helpful. I fell once and he didn’t even try to help me to get up. Obviously his job was just to take money and to ski next to you silently. My girlfriends got robbed. by the end of the day we discovered that the bag they left on a shelf in a room got stolen. The cameras don’t work in that room. Green lines are not really green. They are actually blue rather than green. Need to explore and to find the right one.

Great trials for all levels of experience. White Heat is a must for experienced skiers. For dinning try Sliders, Camp, and outside of town The Modern Barn.

First time at Sunday River and it lived up to the hype! Best place I’ve boarded on the East Coast. This is a beautiful mountain with a ton of awesome trails and varied terrain. We had a blast! Lifts were all fast and staff across the mountain were friendly and helpful. We stayed at the Jordan Hotel and loved the ski in/ski out there. And of course had to check out the Iglu while we were there. Can’t wait to go back!

It is fine but did not meet our, perhaps, high expectations. Thickets booth were closed and everyone rerouted through the customer service desk. For the 4 people, it's two hours of ske time. When we asked why the ticket booths were not open, the employee said: "It is Friday!" like it was supposed to mean something. It is also Friday, the blackout date due to the Winter school break, so it makes even less sense. The mountain itself is fine, but not great. The lifts are basically just spread out, so you do not really get 6 peaks for the price of one. A key lift to connect the peaks was not in operation. The transverse trails are often too slow to carry you. Magic carpet area is really nice and one of the better ones we have seen (they charge $5 per child where most of the mountins are free to the kids under 6)

Wide trails are nice and long. Packed powder and granular. Bubble chair is warm and comfortable. Sliders restaurant is pricey but food is excellent, and filling. Atmosphere is perfect for group dining. Iglu is fun for adults.

Had a great time skiing at Sunday River. It is accommodating, scenic, iconic Maine & very family oriented. We had a family luncheon in the Ski Suite hosted by @CambelleNutting & @TateMendall - what an epic day & fabulous event! Our server was @AmandaFarrar & she was gracious & helpful. The nachos & stuffed avacado were delish! We’ve def found our happy place ?? #happyplacefound

Sunday River has it all. Varied terrain for all levels, on mountain hotels, mid mountain food, higher end lifts (bubble to give you a nice warm ride, rest), friendly staff, and the incredible igloo! The igloo has real bathrooms now and excellent food trucks. The Jordan Hotel is fantastic ski in ski out with a great restaurant Sliders. The size of the mountain makes it really fun for multiple days. Don’t forget to try White Heat and spend time at the fire pit with a nice beverage. Been coming here for years, but our 2025 trip really showed us how many amenities they’ve built in over the years.

It was busy over MLK weekend, but the snow held up well and the terrain is spread out enough to keep things enjoyable. There’s a nice mix of groomed trails and glades, so it works well for both cruising and more playful skiing. The igloo and après scene add to the overall vibe, making it a lively but still very skiable resort.

I was pleasantly surprised by Sunday River. For an east coast ski resort it's not bad at all.

I visited mid-week and experienced no issues with parking or seating in the lodge. I was impressed with the size of the bag room which also had a fireplace and small seating area away from the bags and benches. The large bubble lifts are impressive as is the Iglu. Tree runs are spread out and open(the ones available the day I visited 100/140 trails.) Conditions were better than I expected considering the high winds. Terrain is not particularly challenging, but a good variety.

Our 1st time there but will be back! We had to cut our stay due to the passing of my Uncle but the Mt., was great / lots of terrain / grade. What stood out was the friendly staff from lifties, to housekeeping, to the stores around the mountain. Much nicer than VT (sorry VT)

Great family mountain. The restaurants could be better on the resort but a short drive to some 5-Star eats. Staff is great! Very helpful with kids. Lots of trails. I excellent ski report daily and great grooming team. We’ll be back!

Great teaching terrain and program. Luxury lifts and good food. Very good experience all around.

Wrapping up a Xmas vacation at Sunday River. The Jordan hotel was pleasant and the staff were great. Skiing was less than ideal as the trails were not satisfactory groomed. Plenty of snow though. The lifts were a complete mess and made the trip extremely painful. The shuttle busses were supposed to leave every thirty minutes but now we are stuck on a bus for 45 mins before they can leave. Waste of time. Would have loved to ski out and back to our hotel as advertised but not possible with the lifts. Will not come back and cannot recommend this place to others.

Overall, the resort made a good impression with its solid infrastructure and pleasant atmosphere. However, it was surprising to see a complete lack of protective safety netting on the slopes. At most ski resorts worldwide, this is a standard and essential safety measure, installed throughout the trails, especially in higher-risk areas. Here, it appears to be absent entirely, which gives the impression that guest safety is not given sufficient priority.

Studio with kitchenette was plenty spacious for one or two people. Clean and comfortable! Staff was very accommodating. I enjoyed hiking the trail up to Locke Mountain.

We went there in July for a conference, and I found the staff to be really friendly. The food was great, and there are plenty of trails to explore and enjoy.

Sunday River is one of the best mountains in the Northeast without question. First time visit, loved it. Spring skiing so not as many trails open as we'd have liked but the double blacks were manageable and there was plenty to experience. The igloo is incredible, the Mountain Room food delicious and the apres scene with live band was fun. Plan to return.

Great staff, amenities and skiing experience for all levels. I am a novice skier and liked how many green and blue trails there were to pick from. Icy conditions the weekend we went but I felt comfortable on the trails as a novice compared to some other mountains in New England area. Highly recommend the waffles at the top of the chondola lift. Absolutely delicious! As a novice, I most enjoyed and felt comfortable on the green trails at the South Ridge area but also really enjoyed Moonstruck trail. Staying at a ski in and out condo is great, but be sure to check out the trails first because some are located on difficult trails or you can ski out with no problem but getting back could be a little challenging. Update: I went again a week with fresh powder and optimal conditions and it was amazing, still would recommend even when on icy side. Staff are all wonderful!

What a nice experience I had at Sunday River Ski Resort! I really enjoyed my friday afternoon there (12- close). At first I thought it was a bit expensive, but I was surprised by : - ski conditions were very good. ? - the views everywhere are just wow!!! - not much wait at the chairlifts. - there was a super nice and huge igloo bar at the bottom of jordan bowl peak, SO COOL! One of the main highlight of the day. ✨ - and what to say about those bubbled chairlift anti-wind ?10000/10 thanks doppelmayr! Shout out! Last but not least, LOVED seeing those ski-doo snowmobiles ? #thankyou

My 7 day stay was spectacular! I had a blast each day and all the staff were amazing! The young kids were an absolute breath of fresh air to see each day. (Brandon, Joseph, Emily, Phil and Alexis) Despite the unfriendly, rude and unsympathetic lady I booked over the phone with was a bit too much to deal with. She definitely needs a refresh on customer service when a guests is looking to spend an entire 7 day vacation at a destination resort! Jordan Spa located in The Jordan Hotel was the perfect ending to each of my 7 days. I decided to choose a different spa option each day to really really the experience of a true vacation and I enjoyed all SIX of my spa days and everyone in the spa was absolutely amazing! Meghan, Andi, Kristy, Birch and Lucas!). I can’t wait to come back for another ski and spa vacation! Cheers to Sunday River Resort for such a memorable ski trip for me!

It’s a pretty big ski resort in New England. It has different levels of trails for skiers to go skiing. As a beginner, the green trails here is a little bit challenging for me because the mountain is big so the route is long and a little bit steeper. However, I will like to visit here again when I practice more skiing.

We loved Sunday River. We rented equipment and that process was easy and fast. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It had been warm for a few days so it was a little icy on some of the blue runs that were ungroomed on Friday. We skied again on Sunday and they had groomed everything and the skiing was awesome. This place is so big and spread out it never got crowded. It offers a good variety of skill levels throughout the resort. With at least four lodges we never had a problem finding a place to sit while eating. The food is good but overpriced like all ski resorts. Definitely check this resort out!

My new favorite ski resort. 8 peaks plenty of trails for beginners to advanced. Beware your local blue trails are like the greens at the top of Sunday river. Trails are wide and well groomed. The Igloo at the base of Jordan's Bowl was a cool hangout Sunday River is awesome

One of the best on the east coast. Definitely #1 for lift service. They have a heated lift and another that's half lift/half gondola! It's amazing. A huge mountain, with a ton of great trails to choose from. We can't wait to come back!

If anyone says Sunday River isn’t world class, then they haven’t been! By far some of the best skiing/snowboarding in New England. Every run was fantastic— so wide even the greens were fun! Tons of trails for everyone, at every experience level. If you’re worried about going, make the trip, you won’t regret it! Pro tip: get your hotel and Town and Country Inn just over the line in NH. Inexpensive and only 30min away from Sunday river!

My friends and I had a good time here at Sunday River. It's truly a massive mountain and lots to do. If I were to go back I would try to stay for more than one day. The staff were friendly and the facility was clean for the most part. We did go on a more expensive weekend which made it to be $150 per person. This is definitely more than I would like to have paid since it doesn't come with a meal voucher or any discounts. I think that it's definitely not worth going at $150 each but maybe more towards $110. They did have a party going on that weekend but $18 for some redbull and vodka is too much for something that's not a club

Love this place! Short lift lines, long, W I D E runs and Bullwinkle's really has a decent food selection. Most runs are blue and green however if you are looking for a challenge, there are blacks as well. The terrain park is well groomed with some good kickers and all the boxes. If you're looking for something you need to try out Jordan bowl! The quad that takes you to the peak is like riding in a limousine. This place is definitely five stars! ? ?⛷️

Great l place! Plethora of fun trails for all experience levels, from a first timer to shred master. Lots of different peaks to explore and places to eat. Loved the up-keep of the place and grooming of trails. All the staff are very pleasant, cheerful and always willing to help. We will definitely be coming here next year!
