I started using Warren Auto Barn years ago, when Earl was an active participant and his daughter was the receptionist, really nice lady. I hadn’t been there in several years. Wow, what a difference. Absolutely filthy waiting room. You couldn’t pick up the cup cozy in the middle of the floor?? Just disgusting stuff all over the floor. The stuffed chairs are absolutely black with dirt. Nobody wanted to sit there, and when they had to, they were on the edge, couldn’t relax. You can’t get some hard chairs in there? The receptionist is quite a trip. I thinkshe thinks she's being ultra professional, but her curt, brusque manner is really really off putting. She giggles just fine with the mechanics, but oh my goodness, no customer had better talk to her directly. The daughter is still there, I’m surprised she can’t whip things into shape a little better. I don’t think I’ll ever go there again.
We were on the road with a rental car and got a flat tire. We are from Europe and we were stressed about how long and how much it would take to repair. We did not have the time to finish our picnic ? that the tire was repaired and mounted in the car. Very reasonable price. Thanks!!
I needed to talk to owner. Receptionist said not here don’t know when he’s coming back. Want interested in helping me. At all. I asked a few more questions and then male behind counter wouldn’t get the info i needed. Wouldnt search to get the info. Not very impressive for selling parts. Wont go back
If you have a turbocharged Subaru, do not, I repeat, do NOT bring it here. Their knowledge of turbos is dismal at best. You’ll have to contact them everyday if you want to know if your vehicle is done, because there’s absolutely no contact from them at anytime during the service. I spent over $1300 on repairs for my 2005 Outback XT & it is worse than it ever was! I don’t mind paying expert wages for expert work, but that’s not what I received. My experience at Warren Auto Barn was very expensive for what was done & has left me shaken on their knowledge of Subaru. I hate to be a negative person, but I’m trying to save the next poor soul with a turbocharged Subaru who is thinking about going there. Sorry, not sorry.
We are new to Maine and we’re looking for a local garage that we could trust. Prices are higher on some items but lower on others. Bottom line is the repair operations they’ve performed have been done right the first time, and we will definitely stay with this repair facility.
Joel is a wonderfully trustworthy man and his business is run honestly. I highly recommend Warren Auto Barn, I have had nothing but excellent service and fantastic prices from them. Take your Subaru here today, buy one from them if you don't have a Subaru yet!
Joel and his team are awesome and a welcome and qualified alternative to the "big box" dealerships. Our 2011 Subaru Outback has never run better. Further, Joel actually answers questions and is helpful. Go There and check them out.
I cannot thank Joel and his team enough for their recent efforts. Just days before an upcoming long distance trip, Maine was hit with a huge storm that knocked out power for almost half a million people! Warren Auto Barn also lost power, obviously not an ideal situation for a mechanic. Joel somehow found a way to get a generator working and contacted me asap to get the job done. He was professional, genuine, attentive, and as a bonus a lovely conversationalist. When I'm back in Warren, Maine this is one place I'll be sure to return to- car problems or not. Thanks guys!
Wonderful people who know what they're doing. They get the job done quick and right the first time. I work on my own vehicles most of the time, but when its something I don't have the time, tools or knowhow to do, theres no where else I'll take them.
Simply wonderful people to work with. A true family business and they have always taken care of my cars (and some of them were pretty junky) and treated me very well. Can't speak highly enough of the folks here.
Nice folks, but they charged me 233.00 to change a spark plug wire and fuel filter. Diagnostics were 69, and they added on their 70 buck labor charge to that. 156 for labor time
at 70 an hour, diagnostics etc. WOW. not even a kiss after. I will never go here again.
