Very quick response time and really got me out of a bind when other towing companies that were closer to me were not interested.
I was in Maine from Boston to help my parents move and my car wouldn’t start. I called AAA after I couldn’t jump start my battery. It was 5 degrees and I thought I would have to wait hours. Hunter, the tech called me and was there is a half hour! He went above and beyond to help me ?He quickly assessed the problem by crawling under my car in the snow and ice. He not only towed my car to Ellsworth but went into the service location with me to see if they could order the parts I needed. We had to go to 2 different service places to find what we needed. I felt so comfortable knowing that Hunter was making sure I would be in good hands with the repair. Being from out of town this was very reassuring! If you are lucky enough to have Hunter come to your aid, you will feel like he was an angel sent to help?
A-1 operation in every way, excellent drivers, Wayne and Shane along with dispatch people. Needed tows twice in the past week, friendly, prompt and great communication from start to finish, we are lucky to have them in our area.
I called Triple A for fuel assistance; I live in a rural area and knew I wouldn't have enough gas to make it back into Ellsworth. The same young man who came by in the spring to jump my car battery arrived and I was so impressed with him. Hard worker, high school student who is clearly a go-getter. It is so, so nice to see in this day and age when half of humans don't seem to want to work. I hope DC Towing knows the value of this employee! Super happy with the service, both times. Thanks!
Like other reviewers, we needed help while on vacation at Acadia NP. AAA sent a DC flatbed as we thought our Prius would need a 42-mile trip to Downeast Toyota in Brewer. However the driver was able to jump-start the car. He also recommended we have the battery checked - and recommended two local shops. Long story short: the 10 yr.-old battery DID need replacing and our vacation only lost a total of 4 hours. THANK YOU DC!
DC Towing came to our rescue when my wheel bearing went out on a trip to Acadia--they were contracted by AAA to tow the car from the south end of MDI (Otter Creek) to Ellsworth, and our driver Lewis was particularly excellent--kind, knowledgeable, and regaled us with his lobsterman knowledge! The dispatcher was kind and responsive. Would use this company if we were locals with or without AAA!
I had the honor of D C towing come to my rescue and towing my car for me and the driver went out of his way to help me even tho it wasn't under his job duties,I would definitely recommend using them and I will definitely be calling them again if the need arises .Thank you D C towing!!
There I was having an awful day when I got a flat tire. Thankfully DC towing was able to dispatch a very kind young man who was able to get us back on the road very quickly! Exceptional service!

DC Towing has saved me several times now! Leroy and his son always find a solution! My most recent adventure had me stranded in a snow bank after sliding back down an icy road. Hunter was dispatched but couldn't get the truck to me bc of the icy conditions on the approaching road. He walked all the way to me and- using hands and feet- dug my car out of the snow bank along the ditch and was able to get it moved to a safe spot with extremely skillful driving until the sand/plow truck could arrive. He waited for me at the top of the road (for an hour!) until he saw I safely on my way. He literally rescued me! These are great and competent people running a caring business. Thank you!
Amazing group of people. We had to have a tow while on vacation in Maine and AAA setup the tow and sent out DC Towing the 1st gentleman a retired local police officer showed to try and jump the car and since that didn't work he set up there tow truck to come. He was a super nice guy and even gave me a lift to get a rental car. Tow truck driver showed up within 1 hour and there again a super nice guy. Can't recommend these guys enough. Thanks a million
I would have been completely stranded if it weren't for DC Towing's willingness to get the job done. I can't recommend them enough!
After being disappointed by Good Sam's services, I reached out to DC on my own and they came to the rescue.
They weren't able to get my rig on their flatbed and due to the nature and location of my tire blowout, their larger wrecker wasn't an option. This didn't stop DC from finding a solution, one that involved going above and beyond any expectation of service. Soon they had my rig up on a jack, wheel removed, and I was riding in a truck to a tire shop to get a new tire installed. They left staff at my rig to ensure nothing happened to it while we were getting the tire fixed. After a trip back to my rig with the fresh wheel and tire, DC re-installed my tire and had me back on the road.
I had called countless other companies in the area who weren't willing to help. DC was the only one that was willing to get the job done. They'll be my first and only call if I ever need them again, and the only towing company I would recommend in the area!

within 20 minutes! Hunter knew exactly what to do and got my car out of the ditch! He was funny and calmed my hurt pride. I would call these guys anywhere anytime.
Called AAA for some car trouble on Lighthouse Rd. in Bass Harbor and DC quickly called us after our request was submitted. They were very busy (Mondays are the worst) but got out there as soon as they could. Bill loaded my car very efficiently and kindly gave me a ride to the airport to pick up a rental car (and even waited a few minutes until I was set) and he continued on and dropped off my car in Ellsworth. It was a very stressful day, and Bill's professional manner and welcome chit-chat were greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend these guys. Thank you for helping us sort everything out so we could continue on with our vacation!
These guys were awesome. Not only were they able to use my specific lug key that another tow truck company was not able, they followed me to town to ensure I arrived safely. A father and son team, very professional, very competent, would call them again in a heart beat.

Pulled into our campsite and ran over a nail! Called AAA and within half an hour DC towing swept in to save the day. Friendly and knowledgeable father son team showed up and had us rolling within no time! Hopefully Brody takes over one day because boy knows his stuff!
