I would not recommend this garage to anyone. We requested OEM parts, they put in aftermarket parts. Our vehicle went back so many times and every time it was not fixable but we were charged.. They did fix a few things but they were unable to fix the catalytic converter or sensors. The vehicle went back many times. Their customer service was terrible, it was not in the beginning but the person you deal with is extremely rude. Rude. They will not give us the money back for the converter we have as we needed to take our vehicle to another garage to get it fixed. We had to pay to have an oem put in a new oem as they used an aftermarket. I've had conversations with them. They will not settle for any sort of reimbursement for the inability to repair nor for the catalytic converter that I have sitting in a box at my house now. If you want quality work done to your vehicles, I do not recommend going here. Yes the garage said for me to bring the converter back and give it to them so they could send it back and collect their money. I know if I do this I will never see the monies owed me. And this guy had the nerve and showed up at our home asking for the part. Pretty ballsy doing this. A good garage would have tried to work this out. We
My car broke down during an ice storm and Dutch Gap Auto came to the rescue! The tow truck driver was very efficient and friendly. We really appreciated the help when few tow truck drivers were on the road during the storm.
Would never take anything to these people. Had a mini van that needed one rear wheel bearing that went bad, when I picked up the van he said he replaced all the rear wheel bearings, which I didn't give him permission to do, a week later the bearing he put in went bad, so I replaced it and checked all the other bearings and none of them were actually changed, but he charged me for them. So I put all new ones in myself. Never had a problem with them again. This was some years ago
Dutch Gap Auto is a small town shop with small town folks who do everything they can to help you awesome people and but they do still have a business to run lol people are awesome but I might be partial they are in my hometown!
Typical central Maine "mom and pop" shop. Will screw over anyone to make a quick buck. Don't let these people tow your car on a Friday or the weekend . They won't release your vehicle til Monday even though the owner's live RIGHT next door. They also charge you a stupid amount. These people are crooks.
This was who AAA sent out to change a flat tire! It took him over an hour to get there only to not be able to change the tire because he didnt have a tool! He just told us there was nothing he could do? We ended up driving it across the street to Collin's on a flat to get the tire fixed! No special tools were needed and Collins had the tire off fixed and put back on in less then 5 minutes. Horrible experience. I filed a formal complaint with AAA . Who in the hell shows up to change a tire without the tools to change the tire. Worst experience ever!!Do not reccomend!!
I had two Dutch Gap Auto technicians come out to Farmington to me via AAA for losing my only key and locking myself out of my truck. They were very friendly, helpful, and timely, and they towed my truck from Farmington to Pittsfield for me. The lady in the office also called to give me updates on when I should expect the tow truck when AAA did not update me. I appreciate their service!
This towing company are ripoff artists. They towed me exactly 10 miles starting from the Chesterville and Farmington town line. They are located in Chesterville. They did not have to winch out ( when they have to winch a car out of the ditch) as I was just parked in a parking lot. They charged me ...$285.00 !!!! for a simple 10 mile tow. The average for a tow of this kind is between $50 and $95.dollars. This is according to google, State Farm, Liberty Mutual, and four different mechanics. Some companies charge $20. to $40. More for night service. This was a 2:00 am call, but even so $135.00 would cover it. I asked them to send me an email receipt. They sent me a receipt for $185. I then called them pointed out that I was charged $285.00. They then told that $285.00 was a great deal because they should have charged me $325.00 . They then sent another receipt, this time for $285.00 .
They are thieves. Do not use this towing company.
Knowledgeable and caring crew. They have mobile road service, but if you take a tractor trailer there, slide tandems all the way forward because of the road you back into to turn around.
Can't post zero stars. Called to get a quote and was given a price. That night checked and they had charged $125 more then the quote. Called and talked to the owner about the charge and when he said it was an extra charge I told him it was never told at the tow site. Told him I was planning to dispute it and he commented me driving like a f*cking p*ssy.
They always help me out whether it is for my personal vehicles or my oil truck if im stuck and i need a tow there is only one place i call dependable and reliable and always send the right equipment for the job it could be jist broke down or a loaded oil truck getting ready to tip over they respond quickly and know exactly what needs to be done to handle the situation so if you are in need call dutch gap and they will get you the help you need
HORRIBLE customer service. We were connected to him through our call to AAA. He was so disrespectful and RUDE and then left us on the side of the road and didn’t help AND he used profanity towards us. Awful experience - I would never ever recommend. I will also be reporting to AAA. He should not be in any type of business that helps people - because he was extremely unhelpful. Horrible human being.
