My experience at Copp Motors was profoundly disappointing. They provided me with an incorrect part and subsequently denied the error when I inquired. Fortunately, an employee intervened and directed me to the owner, who confirmed that I had indeed been correct. This establishment operates a highly questionable, profit-centric enterprise with little regard for local patrons or customer satisfaction. I strongly advise against patronizing them.
Rude, expensive, out of the way. What a poor experience. Not only did they seem upset to take my money and talk with me, they sold me a $40 part for $80 and completely ripped me off. I cannot in any way recommend this messy, rude, and inconvenient business. To go to this business, which is out of the way, and be completely ripped off and charged 200% of the price for a used part is really disappointing. In my experience a great salvage yard has people who will kindly educate you and appreciate your money. Not rude people who can’t even say “Have a nice day” and slam your credit card on the counter. Ah yes. And expect there to be spiderwebs all over your parts.
I was looking for a Nissan-specific multi-fuse for my Frontier. Parts stores don't carry them, and Nissan dealers want $35 a piece for them. Not only did these guys have one, but they didn't charge me for it! As long as you don't mind getting the parts yourself, I definitely recommend Cumberland Salvage for your auto parts needs!
Very good service and prices with a very friendly mascot there to greet you I recommend giving them a call when looking for decent used parts at a decent price
I've been assured it's a one off experience but... It was that bad. Customer service from these guys... Needed two parts. They had them, they tested ONE, it didn't work so they got one that did, other part was dead. Now when I say dead, it didn't have all the bits, it had a broken connector "Oh you can take that off the old one!" and the water spilling out of the air pump, was no big deal. Mechanic disagreed. Glad for the hour round trip drive for a bad part. Mechanic called the salvage yard. Mechanic called us, we went looking for part. I call Salvage yard, Guy chuckles a bit recognizing the situation and remembering the call from the mechanic. I explain, Car can't leave the mechanic, how am I supposed to get the part back to him(as my mechanic told me I might need to do) Parts no good, Car can't be used. "Oh well I can get another one and maybe get it on the truck down there Friday)" tells me he will call me and let me know. Called mechanic to explain. No call Friday, no call Saturday, none Sunday, I call back Monday. "Oh I put it on the truck Friday." I ask why we didn't get a call. Apparantly, this guy decided he'd delegate that task to the mechanic instead of following through on calling us. I explained to him he told me he was gonna do it, so it was his responsibility. (After all, as he handled this all START TO FINISH) I said thanks for the part and went to hang up and was instead given a "Well hold on a minute there!" Guy wants to argue, wants to have it out on the phone or something? I don't know. He starts, I cut him off, tell him this his been a terrible experience, He's been a let down every step of the way, and the last thing I'm gonna do is let him hand his mistakes off to a Mechanic that has been AMAZING. Dude my mechanic, didn't send the wrong parts, wasn't horrible at communication, did like about obviously bad parts, didn't fail to test ONE of the TWO PARTS. My mechanic isn't at fault, that my car is in the shop, for more than a week, for what should have been fixed in a couple hours. You screwed up, fix it, don't try and have a contest of wills with a customer. Show accountability. Apologize, don't try and push your customers around.
Assuming this is a "one off" I hope no one else gets this guy. Every business has that one employee that is terrible and thinks they are a star. This was the one for Cumberland Salvage.

Needed parts for my car, This place was a huge mistake! Tested one part, said it was bad and got me another, the other part, was filled with water, missing a hose, and had a broken plastic connector. Told me it wasn't a problem. IT WAS! My cars in the shop for a week. If you go here, bring someone that knows something about cars with you! I really honestly think this guy just didn't care what he gave to a clueless girl that walked in!
They were polite and went out of there to way to help me find a installer who installs used glass windshields. Great customer service and cheap prices for parts.
Great service. Brought me out into the yard to check out a pair of fenders. Then they pulled the car right in to remove them. Kinda bummed they dont let you pull your own parts but a lot of places dont now because of insurance. But at least I didn't have to get dirty.
Riverside Auto is buying parts from this place relatively often and never had single complaint about there services,prices or anything else.Good ,knowledgeable people work there and once in a while when we get part that's not good they replace it with new one , no question asked.
They blew me off three times on a scheduled pickup for my salvaged vehicle, no call no show. I called them after the third time only to be told without any apology or explanation "whatever, call somewhere else". It was a complete waste of my time sitting around waiting for someone to pick it up and sign over for the vehicle on three separate occasions.
I am a mobile mechanic ... it's hard to get new parts when budgets don't allow . I have been buying here since i was 16 ....I am 43 now . They always knock a few bucks of if you are there alot and give you a replacement if your purchased part fails with out question . They are a family buiss just look at the happy dogs in the lobby ...very cool will not go anywhere else !!!!!
I feel like their motto, customer satisfaction is our #1 priority has lost its meaning over the generations with these guys. Esp with the son Matt. The couple times I met him, he wasn't friendly, and when I bought a car from him. It was the worst mistake I've ever made. It was insured for a couple months and he said it would take another sticker no problem. When I asked if I go bring it for s test drive to my mechanics down the road. He became flustered and said he had another person who wanted to see it. I went on the fact I've done business with them before, and I thought I could trust them. Boy was I wrong. I just went in to get a sticker, shocks, ball joints, frame was rusted out. Just to name a few things. So I would not recommend then to anyone. Liars
My husband is the one who uses Cumberland Salvage. He can usually have them find anything hew needs for his or his co workers vehicles. He has brought me with him to pick things up or had me pick them up myself. I like the people who work there. They're all seem like very honest and hard working. Recently we needed 3 head rests and a gas cap for a Tundra and they were able to find the head rests in the color we asked, also the gas cap and all for only a fraction of the cost if they were brand new. One other thing, they have 3 beautiful dogs whom are very laid back and friendly just waiting to meet you!!
Outstanding customer service. I was very surprised at how nice and quickly they helped me resolve an issue with a part. I've bought several parts from them so far, and will always call them first when looking for one. They have more parts than anybody in southern Maine also.
