Very nice country store. Clean, friendly people. Amish run which is very cool. Has little bit of everything from food to hardware, to footwear, even has Woodstock. Highly recommended reasonably priced also.

Amish -owned variety store selling a modest number of foods like jellies, jams, candy, and snacks. Most of the space is devoted to hardware, tools, boots, leather belts, etc. The same group operates a seasonal farm stand and a sheet metal business that produces roofing and siding.

Brings you back in time such as "House on the Prairie". Interested in Homesteading, then this is the "go to place". If they don't have it, ask. They may be able to order. Staff very polite and helpful.

Fun place to visit. It's an Amish run store with great prices on everything inside. There's no electricity for lights and cash only. Hardware, boots, wood fired cooking appliances, and food items are their mainstay, plus a whole lot more.

Most helpful if they don't have it they may order it for you, but they will always try there best to help you, and answer most questions if they can, they do have a wealth of knowledge and can help you find your way around town, they also have a unique lighting system, you'll have to visit to discover this amazing system,

I would definitely definitely definitely recommend going in this little store! They have so many fun things to look at such as, Amish grown popcorn, an array of spices, pickling supplies, cereal, jam, candles, and so much more! The farm store right next to it is awesome as well! And has beautiful baskets, baked goods, sewn things, pickled veggies and many other things! I would definitely recommend stopping at both of these stores. The people who work there are also very nice and the prices are also very affordable.

Love this old fashioned country store owned and operated by the Amish. Great deals, unique items and gadgets, tools, and so much more. A must stop!!

I love shopping at The Pioneer Place. The prices are very fair. It's my go-to spot for socks, candy, woodstove sundries, and simply to stop by on my way to the Back 40 farm store, which is just down the road.

Absolutely one of my faves travel almost two hours just to go Great place to stock up on bulk spices and when they have it Amazing RAW MILK ? the best. Amazing eggs locally grown and in season there's a fruit and veg shed just down the road Helpful friendly staff and they actually remember you!! Got an amazing hatchet Snow n McNally I adore it! I did get it professionally sharpened and it cuts like a razor now! Spelt flour too!! Only place I can find it!!

Great place to shop. We go as often as we can. Prices are better than all the box stores.

What a lovely store with the best customer service! They have a huge variety! We stopped here during our vacation and bought some fresh sweetened coconut, organic oatmeal, handmade pot holders, etc. I highly recommend if you’re anywhere in this area!

Very friendly and helpful. Also good selection of things. If they don't have what you want they probably know someone who does. Definitely worth a stop if your up that way.

Always an adventure coming in and getting kitchen supplies, spices or building needs. Never know what you will find that's new that they carry. Wonderful family.

A good old fashioned general store with great prices. Amish owned and ran and this no electric lighting or heat so be prepared to squint a bit bit of otherwise an awesome store. Again, lack of electricity means no credit cards so cash or check will be required. Go see it

The men who work in this store are incredibly helpful. Always pleasant. And more then happy to go the extra mile to be sure you get what you need. I have nothing but good things to say about the MANY experiences I've had here.

Very Cool and Different Place. Randomly stopped while in the area. There is alot of stuff in this store. Some you've seen in other places, some you haven't. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around the operation. Check it out if your in the area, but bring ca$h.

This is a useful general store in the area. Definitely not the place if you are shopping for Amish handmade products. Staff is very nice. No bathroom but there's Brookside restaurant less than 1/2 a mile down the road.

As always a treat to shop at. Was able to pick up a wood stove heat resistance matt, holiday treats, work gloves & baking supplies all in one stop. Very pleasant owners & fair pricing. Gr8 combination visit!

An all around pleasure to visit. From the classic handmade goods and foods to farm tools and furniture, this large shop has a huge variety and all at excellent prices! I especially enjoyed browsing the natural soaps, lotions, remedies and oils. Be sure to try the rocking chairs in the front for the most comfortable little break.

Such a cool place, this is an Amish owned business selling all sorts of cool things. Sadly a lot of the stuff is generic chinese made junk but its worth picking through to find the gems. Be sure to get some of the butter, it comes from Ohio and is absolutely fantastic. They also carry a good supply of non-electric lighting stuff including gas lanterns and oil lamps.
