This BYOT location in particular is the premier diy junkyard experience. The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable and they always have sales. Not to mention the vip perks. They keep the yards clean as well. I go all over the place junkyarding and this is by far the best one. Lots of places will nickel and dime you to death, these guys use common sense and are very fair. 5 stars all day

I needed to replace the broken glass in my driver’s side door. It was a surprise to find BYOT existed, as previous salvage yard had closed. The website for BYOT was very helpful, as I could verify there were multiple cars on the lot which were compatible with mine, & also find the (very reasonable) price for the glass. When we arrived, the clerk that checked us in offered to look up & print out a list of the compatible cars & their row location & a description, to help us find them easily. Neat rows of complimentary carts & wheelbarrows were waiting for us to use. It was amazing to see how neatly organized the yard is! All the cars are up on blocks, with space between them, and between the rows, enough to navigate the wheelbarrow. We found a donor car within the first row from the door, and were able to get the glass out & be done so quickly & easily! I checked the printout she gave us when we arrived, and also the receipt for the glass. A TOTAL of 29 minutes from entry to payment! We are happy to know this valuable resource is there, & are very impressed with the improvements over the previous yard in the location. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great place I been going once a week for the last year . On 10/16/2024 I had a run in with a black guy with glasses he had a real bad attitude at 10am just as they opened. He had poor customer service. I always felt comfortable going there but after that bad experience, I'm never going back . I guess I start using the other junkyard (puller part).
Bought the alternator but unfortunately it didn’t fit (my mistake). I’ve unfortunately misplaced the receipt. I came back the next morning and explained what happened, alternator was in my possession less than 24h. They said that they cannot exchange without the receipt, and didn’t even bother to pull the copy of it off the computer. So I ended up paying for another alternator and got stuck with other one. The cashier seemed nice person but her boss, manager or whoever he is not helpful at all. I will never go there again!
I love this place. The customer service and outstanding.The people there make you feel at home. The two workers that stands out to me are Toni & Ty those guys are awesome. Those guys make you feel welcome and their energy makes you know that we are more than customers to them we are family. 5 stars in my book. If you haven’t visit this place it’s one hell of a experience. Trust me they remember every customer.
Staff was awesome! Informative on phone . Told me everything I needed to know so I could prepare because I do not live close. I am a small woman and everyone treated me with respect and were very courteous. Clean clean clean yard!! I will never go anywhere else. This is the first salvage yard I can honestly say I've been too. Been to quite a few junkyards that describe themselves as salvage but this one is the real deal!!!. I'm actually going tomorrow to get 2 tires with rims for around 90 bucks and that's with tax and entrance fee. Can't beat the prices! Thank you for coming to louisiana.
Was selling my car due to an accident it was in, explained the damage to someone on the phone and she said 250, (note also that the car still ran and there was no damage to motor or transmission things in that area), Guy showed up and said best he could do was 100 and said that he shouldn't even do that bc of the damage and explained that If he did more than that, that once he got back with it they would upset with him for it. The mechanic who did all and any work told me to sell the whole car for 500 minimum due to the motor still being good and not having so many miles. Honestly feel ripped off by these people. They also couldn't get anything right, had my address all messed up even after I called back to verify it. Not happy with this company whatsoever. Definitely don't recommend this business and definitely will not be dealing with them in the future.
Had a car I was trying to get rid of. Called them up we talked on the phone the price was good over the phone. Then we scheduled a pick up day.Took off work the whole day got a call at 4:00 pm saying we have to reschedule. This went on for over a month and a half. Finally guy came to pick up the car gave me a lower price then what we agreed on over the phone.This company an the people are unprofessional. Will not deal with them anymore.
I LITERALLY just bought a car from them and not even 20mins later I couldn’t get back cross the bridge. These people are all about a quick dollar and everyone in there told me nothing was wrong with the car. Y’all gon end up messing with the wrong people and they gon come get y’all, that’s bad business!!
the driver was hitting on me and when that didn’t go his way my price was lowered . me not having any other options is the only reason i went threw with process. at the beginning he told me “i could get a band “ then after telling him i wasn’t in the mood for that when he flirted and lowered the price drastically .. it was just me & him there so i felt uncomfortable as is . the phone operator was very professional the women only .
The entire process was quick and simple. Within about 30 minutes, I was able to give them all the information they needed regarding the automobile I wanted to sell, give the towing business they used a call, and schedule the pick-up for the following day. The towing business arrived quite early during the 5-hour window of 12 to 5 and made it extremely simple to hand over the title and keys in exchange for a check.
Great set up and easy to get in, under and around each vehicle. A one time a day entry fee of $2 and it's good for all of that day, with your original entry receipt. Wow !!!:Re-enter as many times as needed in the same day!!
Ty was great he was super patient and he gave great attention to detail , we went through almost every car on the lot as i am extremely picky .. I really appreciate his work ethic I will most def return for another vehicle.
I will Never buy a car from BYOT ever again!! When I called they failed to mention that the key was lost until I arrived at BYOT from 2 and a half hours away,, so my fiancé took apart the steering column after he did that they came out there with the key!! Also we asked for help loading the car on the car dolly,, even help pushing the car on dolly they said they’re short staffed to take 5 seconds of their time!! They got paid and that was that no help at all
They have many cars trucks Van's and SUV to get your parts from you can ask at the desk and they will print out where the vehicle is that your looking for. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Never really went in there but I called there and the employee was very helpful. It's a $2.00 charge to walk the yard for the day, even if you have to leave for a hour or so and go back, you wouldn't have to pay again. At least that is what I was told
