WORSE place ever which is ashame because they have so much inventory! Im sad to say i didn’t know about the place when before the grandfather had it because I heard it was a nice local business and Im about keeping our local businesses a float! I called several times , waited several days on prices for my gmc truck and never got a response. It’s NOT that hard to get a price especially if your the bosses daughter ( found out later which explained a lot!!) regardless my son and i drove a hour and a half
Needed an aluminum rim for a 2015 Chevy 2500 8 lug 17” , talked to them 4 times they said sure we have at least one and they also have a E load rated tire I needed as well. Seeing I was traveling thru I blew mine pulling a camper and was down to no spare and many miles to go I thought I was set.
Drove 2 hours to get there, only to get told nope ain’t got one, and no tire as well, they did say they had a steel wheel but that’s gonna cost you just as much.! Guy knew I was in a tight spot and he must’ve felt he could twist the knife to over price me, and no apologies or even a mention of wasting my time. I’ll take my chances and drive further down the road and hopefully find a place that has at least a shred of decency .
This place is not your average pull and pay. I was fully prepared with all my tools to "pull" the parts I needed just to find out the staff does all the "pulling" for you. What I needed took a good amount of time, but they didnt hesitate to help me out without charging for labor! Again, FREE labor! I only paid for the parts. I highly recommend Scooter's for anything you need. The staff is also very kind and friendly!
First day I called I was left on hold until they closed. No one came back to the phone. Second day they jerked me around on if they had the parts needed. I informed them I needed to know in a timely manor if they had them. I’m 3 hours away. They couldn’t give me a an answer until almost closing time. They were rude every time I called. What’s sad is the owner and his family was so called friends on my dads when he was alive. This business has really gone down hill since the son took over.
Had my truck picked up for a transmission replacement, they had it almost a week. So I checked on tells me alot of ppl in front of me . They knew that before picking up my truck. Then tell s me he could push me to the front of the line, calls me the next day talking about it’s ready it takes more then 24 hrs to complete the job. How could it be done in under 12, barely made it back home truck makes loud noise was not doing that at first. I DONT have money to throw away like that.$1850 supposed to have a better transmission not a extra headache..

Receptionist was the furthest thing from helpful. Was told we’d need to bring pictures of vehicle in to get an estimate. Drove 30 mins there, she barely looked up at us & the guy didn’t even look at the pics and gave us a lowball amount. Conversation that could’ve been had over the phone! Do better!
Do NOT! I repeat do NOT go to this place. They take out parts from your truck and replace them with their junk parts.. my husband took his truck for a trasmission replacement. And they took his new starter out and put an old one from their junk.. and yes we have proofs
Very rude. I have bought a few engines from them. Well when i get a 5.3L that knocks now they got very rude and now they dont want to honor warranty. So i just lost $869.00
This is definitely the place to go for your automobile parts. Excellent business and staff to talk to. They go out of their way to help you get the part you need for your vehicle. I always look forward to seeing the staff at scooters and will continue to be a customer.

The customer servic I received from this place is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional!!! To tell a paying customer "It's Too Hot" to pull parts off of a car blows my mind. If you are running a salvage business then working in extreme temperatures comes along with the job. My son offered to but two parts,one of which he didn't need, but to keep from making a blank trip he would go ahead and purchase both just in case and to be told he couldn't get them because it is too hot to be pulling two parts. I don't recommend this place to anyone especially as long as "Abby " is still an employee
This used to be the go to place Last week’s experience was the worst. The parts guys, great always fast. The girl behind the counter, great. The guy I dealt with I assume maybe the owner, rude beyond not friendly and I hope I don’t ever have to go back. I will definitely do without a part first before dealing with him over a $25 part
Friendly staff and almost always has what you're looking for. If the part doesn't work they will exchange. Don't expect a cash refund but they will get you a working part. If you can make Scooter smile he'll give you a better price, but if he's grouchy watch out and look for Dre instead. Just kidding Scooter is always grouchy but he'll take care of you.
I'm on a trip from out of state and they were very helpful in getting the part I needed same day. Most salvage yards I deal with take at least a day to get what I need. Super impressed and if I'm ever back in this area I will shop them again.
Absolutely horrible rates! They were trying to charge more than it would cost to buy new and paint professionally. I cannnot see how this place is in business. I do not recommend to anyone! This is just another premium example of the lack of customer service and honest reputations.
I waited two hours for them to pull a drivers side window out of a van, after calling them an hour in advance letting them know I was coming. They charged me $50 and it turned out to not be the right window for my van. I had two different mechanics try to put it in. I brought it back and tried to get my money back, they told me they couldn't give me a refund but they could exchange the window. They brought me back the same window and told me there was no way it wasn't the right one and that the people I brought it to didn't know what they were doing. I asked if someone there would be willing to put it in for me since I couldn't find anyone who could. They said they would but I would have to wait until after the shop closed. I said I'd give whoever did it $30 and he said that was fine. Ten minutes later he comes back and tells me they can't do it until tomorrow and it'll be $40. I'm at a loss about what to do about getting my money back and still need a drivers side window for a 97 Chevy Astro conversion van.
Very kind and courteous people, they stayed late so I could get a part from them I needed fast. And even setup a business a account there for my shop. I strongly recommend doing business with them. And they’ve been there so long (the same quality people serving the same pleased customers since I was in school in 97)! You won’t regret doing business with him! Every part you could practically want and need. Last time I was there I waited almost two hours for my part but they were slammed. Plus I knew going in that they usually stay pretty busy. Insanely large salvage yard. Check it out with satellite view on google lol! Everyone was nice and helpful and as always, got what I needed. The owner even knocked my price down even further (it was already a great price) because he said it was the only one they could find in the condition it was in which wasn't bad at all.
Do not repeat do not let them put a transmission in your car. I have a Honda. They put a transmission in it supposedly 3 times and still did not get it right. I ended up spending double what I paid him but it was worth it. I think he likes taking people money and not doing the job. I don’t have money to give away so I will see you again scooter. To the people he has done this too previously. They do have a BBB (Better Business Bureau). There are attorneys you can speak with as well.
Went to get a couple parts for my truck. Went to pull the parts myself after walking around this junk yard is out right not safe and when i went to the front desk they did not have a price list. Had to wait for the owner. The owner wanted to charge full retail price for the parts liked they pulled them. This place doesnt care about the customers. They will try anything to rip you off. This is not a place to go. The other junk yards have way better customer service.
I called to see if they had body parts for my truck. The lady wrote down what I needed and asked if she could call me back a little later. About two hours later she called me back to let me know what she had. The only trouble I had was going by on a Saturday as they've recently started closing on Saturdays. Despite this, I had a wonderful experience as the prices were fair and they can pull the parts with advanced notice before you come by. Try finding that level of service at another salvage yard!
After I drove 2 hours to get to this place to pick up a rim to replace one that flew off my car, I was told they closed 20 minutes early. When we told them as they were still working that we had just driven 2 hours to get this 1 rim, we were told oh well to bad it is hot and the owner wanted to go home. He said to come back tomorrow. So he wants me to burn more gas to drive 2 more hours there and 2 more hours home. And not even offer a discount. All because he was working and so was about 5 others and they were all to lazy to get 1 rim for me after driving that distance for it and they closed early. The owner is so rude and clearly not a good business man or he would not have been that rude to paying customers. My husband has bought 3 motors from them in the past. All break in no time. The only reason I was going here was for a rim that can't be that messed up. It's a shame to treat people that way. I say spend your money elsewhere where your business is appreciated.
