Recently brought a vehicle there and was in and out very quickly with cash in hand. Overall it was a very good experience with a team that knows there jobs well.
I'm not sure why this scrap yard insists on not paying on the spot. They said anything with copper has to be held for 7 days. Okay, so I looked up the current laws in concern to the buying an selling of scrap copper, brass, metal, ect. It reads that if your total amount of copper is $200.00 or more then a 7 day wait and a check must be given. Also, here there are not check cashing places . The only ONE WILL NOT CASH a check from shriver scrap yard.
Used all local scrap yards over the years, Studdard in Shriever by far my favorite place to sell my scrap. Workers are much more friendly and get you in and out quick.
Ok..so my boyfriend went about three months ago. Now he finished weighing his copper and went to the ladt and she gave him a receipt for what it was worth. How long do you have to wait to get the Money? Or do you get it that DAY? OR DO THEY SEND YOU A CHECK IN THE MAIL? I STILL HAVE THE RECSIPT AND IT WAS IN MY NAME BECAUSE HIS ID WAS EXPIRES..SO QHAY DO I DO?
They do not give the best prices, and because they are the only scrap yard open on saturdays that slash thier prices on saturday. Dont get ripped off....
Friendly, courteous, and honest - I wouldn't go anywhere else. As far as scrap copper goes, you get paid really quickly and at the best price. These guys are the best!
