Assuming the transition to scrap gets better ill change my review.
I sent scrap to tops about 2 weeks ago now. I was promised a center console for my truck, on top of the payment I received for my scrap. For my scrap I received a crisp $100 bill, but no console. I was promised it would be pulled and delivered to me (I offered to pick it up as well) but here we are 2 weeks later and the representative who was at first extremely helpful has now not answered my texts/calls regarding me receiving my console.
Mark is the best when its cones to his customers .He is knowledgeable about the products and he more than fair on prices .Always friendly ,he keeps it moving without rushing things . I recommend going there!

I paid cash for transmission 3 days later they said it was lost they sold it to someone else for more money. Gave me a check refund cost me $8 to cash it. I wouldn't buy a lug nut from tops auto salvage in sulphur
Good people!!! No problems will return again been doing business there for years. Most recent trip I got the wrong part and had no problems getting my refund.
Easy to deal with, straightforward staff. Pretty reasonable prices and the guys at the desk don’t mind going the extra mile when trying to locate something. I’d suggest calling ahead, but they’re pretty quick on the phone.
Well they said one price on phone then I took a Harley all the way from Texas to take them some cat converters then when I got there they gave less than half the price barely covered gas there and bak
They charged me for a part I was looking for and they said they had and the next day I called to see if it was already pulled and they said they didn't have it anymore because someone else had already sold it so they were good about collecting payment but also very quick to refund me so I guess they're not terrible about that part of the business.
Worst place to ever try to buy a part from.. I'm from Rosenberg Texas out of town. I come here for AC compressor because mine locked up. They told me to go to the car in the back of the yard to find the car. There's no way to get to it with so much junk around. I asked him is there anyway if you can move some stuff around it so I can get the compressor off of it. Because they said I have to pull the compressor off myself because they had no one to pull it.. well I'm walking back to the car there's four workers all sitting down smoking cigarettes. Guess they're too busy to be able to pull parts off for you.. and they told me there was nothing they can do to help. Lol. Great way to show out-of-towner customer service. Great place for used parts, usually have 4 or more of whatever you are needing. Also call and speak with Mark if you have any converters you are wanting to sell. Great guy and gives as much as possible.
This place was not only well watched, but also well taken care off, for a junk yard. The guy that helped me knew exactly what I needed and walked me to the part personally. price was more than fair and the employees are more than helpful. I plan to take all of my spare part needs to this establishment. The ground was muddy, so if you plan a visit here remember to bring your boots! Beside that, they were nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
Friendly and helpful! Much cheaper than dealership prices, if you don't mind pulling the part yourself. But that is what makes places like this great for a diy person.
Was informed for 3 days, the 3rd day being the day that I was actually able to make it to the yard to get a part, that they did in fact have it. Said they had just what I needed... only to arrive and for the owner to say that he just forgot to delete the part out of his system and he did not if. Mind you, I drove all the way from Iowa to get it... for him to just ask me for my number so that he can call me when he gets another one. 2nd time to work with Tops and with out a doubt the last time.
Got a call from a friend of mine asking me to pick up a part for them, one of the most simple parts of a car you can remove, a spring. They said it would be ready around 3pm. Get here expecting the spring to be sitting on the counter. To my surprise in was not. Asked one of the clerks if it'll be out soon. He responds with "It takes time." Well it's 3pm and the part isn't off the vehicle as you said. Approximately 3:30pm, the "mechanic" doesn't know a shock from a spring from a strut. "The coil spring or the shock?" 4pm and finally you're on your way up here. "Sorry it took so long, probably just the cold." Dude what!? Never coming back again.....
The employees are very nice. The yard is a bit rough to walk through but what do you expect it being a junkyard right? There's a lot of vehicles to pick and pull from. You'll eventually find what you need. My husband goes here everytime he needs a quick part.
This is the best auto scrap yard, or used auto parts yard in the entire greater Lake Charles Area. All of the others have people working the phones that just do not care. They don't want to help you and don't want to sell you anything. Tops , on the other hand, will answer your questions. They will check and see if they have the part you need. I don't know why the others just say no every time I call and ask for a part. I know they have it, I live right behind them and can see some of the parts I have called and asked about!!! Well Tops is a few miles further for me to drive, but they are the only place I will call from now on. They get all of my business. Thank you Tops! Edit: For those that do not understand how business works, you will have to pay for someone to pull the part you want. Also, they are running a business, so they have to charge more than $3 for any used parts. There are even lists you can look up online to see the value of a working used door handle or intake manifold. Don't be upset that the first time you happen to go to an auto salvage yard you have to pay a few dollars for a part.... if you don't like it go buy it new! Or try the auto salvage yard on Gulf Hwy in Lake Charles, you will be running back to pay Tops what they ask.
Good place to buy parts for your v vehicle I bought my door panel Fuse cover and various parts of my Dash I'm going back to get my dash and some other parts I need for the interior of my truck and exterior I'd recommend it although sometimes the prices seem a little high for used parts
Went there looking for a back glass for my truck, they really love their junk there over priced I tried to negotiate price and they wouldn't asked if they gave military discount guy looked at me like I just shot his dog. I'm all about shopping local but not here you can keep your junk
Tried to sell me a damaged part. Condition was obvious. I offered a lesser price and the refused my offer. Responses to parts requests are slow. The pricing seems on the high side. 50-60% of a new part for a vehicle I expect to keep is excessive. I have no plans to return.
This place sucks. I heard this place pulls the part. So I didn't bring any tools. I told the young black hair kid who looks like he hasn't worked a day in his life. Needed a haircut too. What I needed. He looked confused too me too go see if I can find it I found it. He said $20 u pull it. I told him I didn't bring any tools he said oh well I said can I pay to borrow yours he said no. So screw them.
Great customer service and very informative. Didn't take long to locate part and sometimes you may have to get hands on with them regarding your part. It was worth the drive from Lake Charles. Compared to other salvage yards their very organized.
