First impression as a business should be your primary goal..This was my very first time calling these guys i was in search for a part for my truck..The phone rang the guy told me to hold on, I can tell in the background he had to been busy. I am a patient man. So holding on wasn't the problem the 11 mins listening to him cuse about the amount of phone calls and also seems to be a employee personal business about his baby moma ,child support and the arrangements of I'm assuming talking about his child..so I realized I might have e been forgotten about so hung up.. Attempted 4 times to call and no answer.Thanks but no thanks Westgate I won't be calling bk or recommending you guys

Drove it for a day and it was running hot, tried the thermostat and this is what it looked like. Then there's this o-ring job on the thermostat housing. Tried talking to the man but he never called me back, hardly tried to help. Less than 200 miles driven since I got it. Edit: Failed to mail my title to me twice, forcing me to pick it up there only to find out at DMV that it's been in two wrecks after being told it was clean.

Had a good friend of mine and co worker names Nolan Roberts and he will have a review on here as well with pictures, but I am a service manager at an equipment dealership. Nolan drove the vehicle 30 miles and began running hot, upon further inspection somone had put stop leak in engine stopped up radiator and thermostat, possibly engine coolant ports, so far nothing but the run around, I was informed that the owner was notified and just dismissed it, extremely poor service, couldn't se myself buying a bicycle here. Look for his review for pictures, I'm sure if you buy a car with a small problem they might make it right, but if you get one that has more labor to fix than it is worth you will definitely get the silent treatment. Not gonna mention salesmans name I Do not believe he is at fault, only the owner.

I bought my truck from them last year & it's still running like new, great customers service & VERY PATIENT, if I wanted to test drive 100 times they would have let me, ll be back soon!

It's alright if you got time to spare waiting around on them to get you what part you need. He said I'll have it ready in 30 minuets..... yeah right. 2 to 2½ hours later he finally brought it on out. Smh.

They won't take debit card or credit card over the phone, drove almost 40 miles to pay them in person. Used debit card and they charged $20 for processing??? That was on Wednesday. Called Thursday and they hadn't had time to pull the part, call back this afternoon. Called still wasn't pulled. Called Friday same story. They closed Saturday and Sunday. Called Monday they didn't have it pulled, Called that afternoon and they hung up. Called Tuesday not yet, went that afternoon and sat for over an hour while they pulled it. Got it put in and part worked!!!! Just don't be in a hurry to get your part!!!!

I had the opportunity to buy a motor from James the owner here at West Gate. I couldn’t be more pleased with his professionalism and care he has for his customers. At one point my motor need a little work (small components) James handled it quickly and got my business truck back on the road. Will use West Gate for future services.

I tried calling 3 or 4 different times to inquire about the part I needed. No answer. I made the long drive there only to find the part wasn't available. I asked if that part could be compatible from another make car? The office person answered." Don't have a clue." They have a dirt parking area for customers. Walking across it was really messy.

Bought a Chevy Equinox from them and they didn't tell me the motor had a oil leak....the motor locked up after a few months of having it. They sell you vehicles without warranty and when I called to tell them, they said it wasn't their problem.....I would give them no stars if I could

Anytime I've gone to Westgate for anything vehicle related, I have not been disappointed...even when they haven't had a particular used part. Why? Because they don't believe in wasting time, yours OR theirs. Speaking of time, be warned, you may have to wait awhile for unscheduled, walk-in service, but that's because they stay unbelievably busy. Also, don't expect a warm hug and smile. They are brisk but courteous, to the point, yet respectful. In short, they are fair on prices, firm on rules, and surprisingly helpful concerning dire circumstances.

Don't shop here! Just bought a car last week, was told it's a great car! Guy lied, it's a death trap on wheels! Owner is dodging my phone calls, and said he was coming to the shop to speak to me, and never showed up!

Tried to go get a motor and transmission and was lied to on the phone and ignored when I got there. When I did get to speak to someone they was very rude, and quick to tell me to get out of the little run down shack they use as an office. DO NOT reccomend, definitely would use any other auto part supplier in the area before i would them or even recommend them. Also had a friend prepay for parts as well and his experience was quite unpleasant as he described it to me. The waiting times was unreal, the parts he did receive was caked in mud and rust from what it looked to be as sitting in a mud puddle for some time. He kept having to go and find someone and asking when he would receive his items that was paid for. Very poor customer service over all.

A good deal doesnt necessarily mean a great buy. My boyfriend went car shopping about 2 months ago. We ended up going to platinum motors. They really didn't have anything he liked, so the car salesman chondell ended up taking us to westgate. After looking at several vehicles he finally found one. The vehicle had a leak and he agreed to get it fixed. The agreement was to go half with him. Chondell had a guy look at it and said it will cost around 300 dollars to fix, so he knocked 150 dollars off the price. He was fine with that. So after paying for the vehicle, I went with Chondell to drop the vehicle off at Allen's garage. So to make a long story short, 900 dollars later and 5 trips back and forth to Allen's garage the leak is still not fixed. So, then he decided to call Chondell to inform him about the vehicle still not being fixed after coming out of pocket 900 dollars, his only words was he did not make any money on the deal. This has been the worst experience ever and he will never buy another vehicle from this place.

I found my taillight that the dealership wanted $706, I got it for $240. It has LED lights, which are real pricey. I have reminded myself not to get another car with those type of lights if possible. West gate staff I thank you!!

Pulled in the driveway went inside told Bill what I was looking for he say has two trucks looked at both bought a Sonoma GMC extended cab cruise a/c power windows cloth seats 2000.00 USD runs good drives good. Good deal for me. Bill seamed pleasent to talk to nice experience for me and Bill seamed pleasent to deal with. All good to me hope other find the same thing check em out

Very Unprofessional, Customer Service is Horrible. Purchased a Used Transmission of course I understand that a used Part can have problems and the one I bought did. So I called them and they told me that they have one out sitting on the self ready to go. I said great I will take it. Paid Via credit card he told me that it would leave out the next day. I call 3 days later and it still didn't get ship. Finally I guess by me calling the shipped it out the next day. I'm located in South Louisiana about 200 miles away. I get it and have it installed by a Professional Transmission Shop . Of Course it doesn't work. I called them back they said they would call the transmission shop I gave them the number and all. They never called them. I called them back the next day asked to speak to Gary or George he already left for the day. Called back the next day and said he had another one and it would ship out on Monday. Well 3 days later and it still hasn't shipped out. Now they telling me it will ship out tomorrow. The fact of the matter is if I would have known that I would have purchased a replacement from someone else because I'm on a time line. I have a customer that purchased this car from me and has been out of a car for 2 1/2 weeks... I'm furious and will never do business with Westgate Used Parts of West Monroe ever again. I always try to do business with people in Louisiana but it sad this is the kind of service you get all the time. I try to run my business as I would want to be treated. I don't lye to people or procrastinate. To make matters worst I never got irate or even talked ruff with the guy and he hung up on me. After reading some reviews I see that he tends to hang up on people a lot.. They have a shity business practices'.

I do not understand what some people are griping about. I have known and done business with James for twenty years, watched him grow up into a fine young man. He has never been a racist or stupid and I am tired of some people saying that about him. If you just look at the typing and spelling skills of the accusers that says it all. Good place to go for good deals.

Very unprofessional. I was quoted a price over the phone. When I got there I was told a completely different price. The manger was very very unprofessional and borderline racist. I tried to negotiate with the manager and was told to stop begging. The only thing saved him was the metal bars that was between us. I will NEVER do business with these lying, ignorant people again. I would never recommend them to ANYBODY.

I'm not sure why they tried be so rude . Why I was told one thing on phone . I got over there is waited almost 45 minutes. I was just listening to a friend reason I called them . I just hope learn it nice to know you feel we come. I still may go back . I mean have really think about . Some people make you wait on purpose. I had done any of them like that . I had my license removed . They would made sure that. I stay away from anything or anybody . Some people never change in south.

Wish I could give the guy at the counter a ZERO! A very disappointing experience. Disrespectful, rude and dishonest. LADIES read your receipt before you leave...better yet ask questions before you purchase anything from here! Don't take their word for it when you ask "can you bring it back". They lie and won't give your money back only a credit and not even for full amount you paid!! Smh...Very upsetting!

I'm only giving this so called buisness one star bc I have to in order to write this review..... It has been a circus act from day one dealing with these ppl.... They have only one employee on staff that knows what he's doing, and unfortunately this guy only works 2 days a week... So, I originally called them looking for a MAROON driver side fender for a 99' Dodge Ram Truck. I was immediately told that yes they had one for me, and that it was in great shape. Now, I live in Eunice LA, and this buisness is located it West Monroe LA, and they do not ship, therfore in order to even get this feunder we had to make a 6 he round trip. I was originally under the impression that my father didn't receive a fender, however I found out today that yes he has recieved a fender its just not an exact match. Well, why would it be an exact match, right. That's not the issue here, bottom line is this. These guys took way to long to take care of buisness. It took them 3 weeks to pull a fender even after receiving our credit card numbers. Really??? I guess I was expected to wait for the one employe who has his right mind. Will not do buisness here again.....

A lady here, (I do not know her name I simply called) is extremely RUDE. We own and operate an auto repair business. We would have been buying ALOT of things from here. Not now. I will NEVER EVER GO HERE AND DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! I am going to try my best to contact the owners and get this taken care of.

Not a very good experience. Purchased an engine through hollidays with 30 day warranty. Pressed for time to get installed and running at cristmas. Run good but started putting water in oil 2nd week. Called few days after 30 days were up! To bad, they stuck me with bad motor and would not even talk about helping. NOT CUSTOMER FRIENDLY!!!!
