This shop does amazing work at an affordable rate compared to everyone else. I had them install coilovers and upgraded intercooler on my mustang. And then recently had them do a tune up on my f150. Communication was outstanding and my vehicles run smoothly after their work. Highly recommend them for all your automotive needs!
I had a pretty good experience with Northside Automotive. The previous shop, Mitchell's, stole items from my car, kept saying "that was already like that", kept lying about everything, detailed my car even though I didn't ask but TOLD them not to, kept my car for a month and a half, caused me to get charged hundreds of dollars in rental fees, and did a poor job on my car.
Northside completed the work in less than 2 days, seemingly didn't touch anything in my car, was willing to show me everything, didn't act inconvenienced at anything, didn't charge me for fixing a sensor, and did a good job. Every mechanic and mechanic minded person I spoke to said it was the lifters in my car. I even had 3 mechanics ride with me to listen to noises it made and they all said it was the lifters. One even used the stethoscope and said it was the lifters. Apparently, they were all wrong. It was the AC compressor and Northside fixed it quickly and efficiently.
The reason I gave four stars is because I was kind of hoping they would check a little more and repair my hood release because it doesn't pop up since Mitchell's "repaired" it and you have to dig it up to get to the lever and there is a tire pressure light that won't go off. The folks there are good people. I read other reviews and the people saying they are expensive are crazy. They're prices are very reasonable and I will return and advise others to go there.

I can’t say enough great things about Northside Automotive in Monroe! I just took my Jeep Wrangler in for a spark plug and injector replacement, and as always, Clay and his team knocked it out of the park.
From the moment I dropped off my vehicle, I knew it was in good hands. Clay, the owner, is not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely cares about his customers. He took the time to explain everything in detail, kept me updated throughout the process, and had my Jeep running great again in one day no less ! ( I had an appointment)
Every time we’ve needed help, they have come through with top-notch service, honest advice, and fair pricing. It’s so rare to find a shop you can trust these days, but Northside Automotive is that place. Whether it's routine maintenance or more complicated repairs, they always go the extra mile.

Mrs Debbie wasn’t looking for the sale she was looking to help. I called in price shopping for something I could not afford, and she educated me on tons of stuff about my vehicle, and in the long run it saved me over $900, and I can not repay her enough for that!
Also other shops were telling me they could get me in on the same day and my car doesn’t even have the part I was calling and asking about!
My car broke down in Monroe in July 2023 and I had it towed here. I was told my engine was locked & would need another one. The last communication I had from the owner was that he would "try" to find me one. I asked him to let me know something whether he could or couldn't. I live in Texas 3 & 1/2 hrs away from Monroe & this was my only means of transportation. In the defense of the shop, my car did sit there for months because I had no way to get to it or no communication on whether a motor was found. I called the shop the first week in October on a Friday around 1p to ask about my car but they had closed at 12p. I left a message but never got a call back. I called again the last week in November & was told my car had been towed because they needed the room. He claimed he called me 10-15 times & left several messages. A LIE! I have not received a single one. I bet if I got an attorney to sue them and subpoenaed their phone records, there would be 0 calls to me phone from their landline.
Got a call from a friend, their mother had a waterpump replaced due to car running hot. Shop misdiagnosed car. They charged to put a waterpump on, and a thermostat GASKET. WHEN YOU REPLACE A WATER PUMP YOU REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT ALSO!!! Any decent mechanic knows that. Now, said friends mother had to call me to do a service call on side the road because thermostat was stuck closed the whole time. Be careful on who you bring your stuff to folks. Some people will tell you anything to take your cash! Especially if you are a woman walking in alone to a shop!!
This is the only shop I trust with my car. They know what they’re talking about & their work is great. I never have to wait long for them to have my car fixed & ready to pick up. Love this place
I recommend this place if you're having car troubles. They get right to the point, and are very knowledgeable. They've helped me out a lot with my cars in the past. Sometimes it takes a day or two for them to identify and fix the problem, but they find it and fix it right

My car was in terrible shape, and the people here fixed it at a fair price in record time! I drove home with a smile on my face cause my car had been running bad for so long and it was finally fixed. I'm a college student with no knowledge of cars and the dealership wanted so much money that I probably would have had to sit out for a semester, so I'm glad I came here! The owner is super nice and funny too and very honest. I know where I'm going for all my car needs!!
This weekend my tundra started running hot. So Monday morning I took it straight to Northside Automotive. I've taken my vehicles to Northside Auto since 1992. You could always count on Mr. Sonny to be honest and thorough. I didn't realize that Mr. Sonny had retired and sold the place to Tracy Smith. I've gotta to say that I was pretty worried about the change. I know how hard it can be to find a repair shop that's as reliable as Mr. Sonny and his crew. My worries are over. Tracy picked up right were Mr. Sonny left off. He has much of the same crew too! They replaced the timing belt, water pump along with other routine maintenance at a fair price. My truck has never run better. You can trust this team! What a relief!
