I had some work done by a “Shade Tree” mechanic in which my 700R4 was rebuilt. Long story short, my reverse gears burned up. Out of frustration I came to Twin City Transmission Service and they got it done the right way with professional and prompt service with a one year warranty. A lesson learned but now my OBS Chevy performs.
Quick service, easy to talk to and get the answers I need. Have put probably a 1000 miles on the transmission since I got it back and 0 issues and smooth as silk. It took 2 days maybe 3 complete turn around.
Amazing service from start to finish called got a quote..they even got my truck towed there ! only 4 days for a complete rebuild ..took the truck on a 40 mile drive so far rides like a dream !!! Super easy process highly recommend using them for all your transmission needs..
They rebuilt my transmission on my Dodge pretty expensive but they fixed it! Transmission is working great they just forgot to tighten bolts on my catalytic converter other than that they did a great job just a little expensive.
Took my Jeep in February to get the transmission rebuilt.
Took my Jeep in March to re-rebuild a burnt up transmission due to leaking fluid….
Took my Jeep in April for a leaking transmission….
Took my Jeep in May for a leaking transmission and it was finally it was repaired ….i think.
Each time I went I asked to speak to management and each time they had an excuse for why they couldn’t be bothered to speak to me.
I understand mistakes happen and even new parts fail.
I don’t understand not being willing to even walk out of your office and speak with a customer when you know all of the above has taken place.
THE most amazing shop! I wished we lived closer. We were traveling with a truckload of kids and luggage over Christmas (7 people) from two states away. The awesome state trooper led us here when we were on the side of the highway. We needed a rebuild on the transmission. The guys were amazing and got us in and out in a timely manner for a rebuild. I cannot say enough about these guys. They were very helpful, knowledgeable and personable.
Everyone we came in contact with in Ruston were truly what humanity was meant to be.
Until I retired in 2021 hours I was a new car dealer service manager for over 47 years. I have done a lot of business with Jeff and his crew at Twin City over the years and in my personal and professional opinion there is none better than Jeff Edwards. I recently had a transmission problem with my 2017 GMC Canyon and Jeff provided excellent service repaired in a reasonable time and at a reasonable price.. I highly recommend Twin City Transmission and Jeff Edwards. He just can’t go wrong.

Called this shop looking for a bolt. While I understand they generally don't sell bolts like this. But they are the only ones who offered advice on a solution. ~this is how you get customers. Don't just immediately turn us down. But at least try to help!

Took my truck to twin city, was greeted right off the bat by Corey. He told about the time span my truck would be ready for a new transmission and was ready before he told me.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Twin City Transmission for some much-needed work on my truck, and I couldn’t be happier with the service I received. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly smiles and a warm welcome. The staff at Twin City Transmission are not only knowledgeable but also genuinely care about their customers and their vehicles.
They were friendly and helped me out, but set me up for failure when running my new clutch cable rubbing on the front driveshaft and laid over my steering column not secured at all also a little bit pricey $1100 to replace a $30 part maybe seven hours total labor also they have rats (either in the yard or the shop not sure) but a good rain suit good rain boots and my cooler handles have been nawed on all over. After getting home and double checking the rest of the work trans case bolts were loose the trans support mount was missing a bolt and interior parts were put in wrong and plastic broken not happy with the quality of work at all
Terrible place lie and lie and try to sell you stuff you know is not wrong was told pay upfront be ready in 2-3 days it’s been over a 2 weeks they called said it was ready get there and it’s not ready because it now needs a new rear end when there was nothing wrong with it when it was brought to them and why couldn’t they say that over phone instead driving an hour to get there and telling us no stars
Rebuilt transmission and new radiator installed within a reasonable time for what we believe was a reasonable price. The front office staff (Brittany?) was very helpful and knowledgeable. The owner demonstrated stellar integrity when he took responsibility and remedied at his cost some mysterious door damage that almost certainly (but not proveably) occurred while our truck was at his shop. We were highly impressed with the whole transaction and fully recommend doing business with Twin City Transmission Service.
Spent $4,500 on a rebuilt transmission that lasted 4 days. Took it back to be repaired and aside from their rudeness the transmission lasted 10 months this time and is now going out again.
They fixed my 95 Chevy that had no hope. Now runs like a top. Has it shifted so well for at least 3 years lol Miss Brittany is amazing! The owners gave me a great deal! Would definitely recommend
I was referred to Twin City by a mechanic but unfortunately Kathy the receptionist had a very shrewd demeanor. I tried to be friendly and polite over the phone but she proceeded to provide the worst front line customer service as well as speaking to me as if I was stupid for inquiring about an estimate. I still thanked her for her time and politely moved on.
The clutch went out on my car and had to be replaced it was 1200 dollars and it was replaced and ready to go within a reasonable time frame. Kathy was the lady that I talked to and she was very nice! Would definitely recommend!
If I could give them 10 stars it still wouldn't be enough. Jeff, Jennifer and Kathy you are all amazing people with such kind hearts! Professional, Honest, Talented and Highly Skilled! Got transmission rebuilt on Expedition for almost 1400 dollars and it was never right. After getting it back it kept getting hung in 2nd gear I took it back about 5 times but it was never corrected.I took it to another transmission shop and they say it needs to be rebuilt so now I feel they just took my money but didn't do any work.
I had a problem with the second gear in my 2001 Acura MDX, took my vehicle and it was there for three weeks. Original the guy indicated it would be a week. After paying 2K for a rebuilt transmission it lasted for a year. I spoke with Tracy and he stated there wasn't anything can be done and that I would have to pay for another transmission. A rebuilt transmission should have lasted longer than a year, in fact it was having the same problem I paid them to repair that second gear. I will never take my vehicle to any repair shop that doesn't guarantee their work. I was highly disappointed. I would not recommend this company. In your response to this review is OBVIOUSLY NOT A TRUE REVIEW. You are contradicting your statement, on the other hand your indicated there is no one here by that name, then you stated there was someone here by that name that left in 2016. IT IS OBVIOUSLY THAT YOU ARE MAKING CONTRADICTING STATEMENTS! YES THE REVIEW IS TRUE! Thank you!

I have recently had an occasion and opportunity to meet Jeff Edwards, owner of Twin City Transmission. Unfortunately, my granddaughter’s 2010 Toyota Corolla developed serious transmission trouble. Twin City Transmission was called for assistance. Her vehicle was towed to the shop. Jeff and his team diagnosed the problem and provided a repair cost and timing estimate. Upon agreement to the estimate, Jeff and his team went to work and surprised us by efficiently completing the repair in a shorter time than estimated. Upon completion, and because of a special situation, the vehicle was quickly delivered to my granddaughter at her work location. I am taking the time to write this review for two reasons.
The first is to report the excellent results of a business transaction every customer expects. Companies sell a service and provide it for a price and customers willingly purchase that promised service. However, I have very rarely experienced the kind of effective, efficient, professional, and friendly service we received from Twin City Transmission. It was unusually exceptional and well above and beyond my normally high expectations.
The second, and most important reason, is to acknowledge the very special way we were treated by Jeff and his team. We were helped on a personal basis beyond my belief. I am a retired professional and must state emphatically that I have never been treated with such kindness in a business situation. I will never forget Jeff’s exceptionally personal and wonderful consideration he gave my daughter and granddaughter. He is a very compassionate and honest man. He does what he promises, and his word is good. My profound thanks to Jeff, Jennifer, Marquallius and the entire repair team. I will forever remember Jeff’s kindness.

I had my truck towed to this shop 2 years ago, in 2017 of October. I had recently been having problems the past 2 months. The transmission shifts hard and now it vibrates. I discovered unfinished work on my transmission were the mount bolts were loose. And the AT oil pan bolts were loose as well. FYI I dont trust this company.
Highly recommend! They are fast and very pleasant to deal with. My schedule was tight and my time was very limited, the owner and staff was more than happy to do everything they could to get a bay open to get me in and out!!!
Found this shop because of the reviews and they did not steer me wrong! The owners were so nice and personable, I even made a friend in the waiting room. They serviced my transmission for half of what I was quoted at other places and he got me in and out in no time. I can already tell my car runs/drives better than it did before. Definitely worth every penny!
They rebuilt my transmission in a week, which is great! But, I picked my mom's Jeep up today, and there was grease and transmission fluid all over the steering wheel, dash, seats and floor mats. She has a toggle switch that activates a fan to cool her motor, and it was broken. I realize it is a transmission repair shop, but at least wash your hands and put a paper mat down before you mess her interior up.
UPDATE April 26: Upon reading my review, they got in touch with my brother to see how they could fix those minor problems. Way to go guys!
