Bear was the towing company that USAA set up for me when I needed roadside assistance. I ended up having to use them twice during this trip. The man that helped us was so kind and they got to us SO much quicker than AAA had estimated their person would have. We were very grateful for them.
THE ABSOLUTELY WORST COMPANY EVER I’M AN OWNER OPERATOR. I WAS IN AN TRUCK ACCIDENT A SEMI TRAILER SIDE SWIPED ME AND KNOCKED ME OFF THE ROAD. BEARS TOWED MY TRUCK AND TRIED TO CHARGE ME 22K FOR A WEEK. I WENT TO GO GET MY BELONGINGS OUT MY TRUCK. THEY HANDED ME A BAG AND SAID WE GOT YOUR BELONGINGS HERE. DO YOU KNOW MY OTHER IPHONE WASN’T EVEN IN THE BAG THEY GAVE ME. OR MY ITEMS I HAD JUST BOUGHT BEFORE THE ACCIDENT. NEVER AGAIN WILL I LET THEM SERVICE ME AND I WOULDN’T RECOMMEND THEM TO MY WORST ENEMY. ZERO STARS IS WHAT THEY TRULY DESERVE
Allow me to revise my review as it seemed to bash Bears for my own failures... As for Bears Towing, the people are great! Friendly. Everyone working there seemed to be in good spirits and enjoying their day, an inviting family type atmosphere. I called, they informed me what I needed and how to get it with warmth and helpfulness. Once I had necessary documents, the process could not have been made better by any other company. My truck was NOT molested or pilfered or burglarized. These are really good people guys. My original review was more about the process than the company. State mandate does control towing rates and storage rates since 2015 I think? I didn't understand the towing rate $146 was billed @1.5? as seen in the picture when en route to finish was 40 mins.
$$$ Suburban impounded. Insurance hold. I selected Bears bc it's near home. Truck drove onto roll back in parking lot in afternoon. Next day couldn't get it. Following day got it out. 48 hours. 3 days storage. $384 final bill.
Altogether Ins OMV Tow over $800 for the record.

Been in the Towing industry for for every and a day. Never know until you get there how you are going to be treated, can't say anything bad myself , always good to me
I called to request a tow at 2am for an 18wheeler. I was quoted an 8am tow arrival and at 9am called them again to get an update. I was told then 10am at 1045am when a single truck showed up I was informed they would require additional assistance that would take a few more hours to arrive.
The shipper did not secure my load causing a shifted load, leaving the trailer next to flip over. Beats came out with all the right equipment and man power to fix the shifted load. I was able to make it safely to my delivery. Highly recommended if ever in Monroe LA.
I had to use their service 3 times in two days- the men were very nice and professional- when I called for an update they answered the phone quickly and the tow arrived early It made a traumatic day better than I expected
Fast, reliable, friendly and affordable. Called another company and they wanted to charge me 175 to tow my truck to the shop 6miles away, and wouldn't be able to be here for 5-6 hours. Called Bears and the said its 100 and they will be here within the hour, 45mins later truck pulls up.
These guys were GREAT!!!! I had a blowout traveling between Birmingham and Dallas. Not only did Dicky pick me up quickly and safely in the rain, but Randy helped me call around to find a shop with a new tire in stock. I was back on the road within a couple of hours. THANK YOU!!!
Don't forget or leave any jewelry in your car they will steal it and act as if your crazy. They will check every compartment of your vehicle searching for valuable belongings to take then take pictures to prove it wasn't there. They take pictures just for that reason to cover there selfs. Their nosey to go through every compartment when the damages are on the outside, thats the only thing that pictures need be to taken of anything else is sneaky.
Zero stars is more like it. I'm an owner operator who's rig broke down in Tallulah, La. I was charged $1600 to be towed 4.5 miles. After my unit was dropped I noticed that when the tow operator pulled my axle, he didn't put his homemade axle cover on tight so all of my rear-end oil was slung out. He didn't bother to replace the oil. The driver was rude and complained the entire time about having to come out to tow me. Will definitely never use these crooks again.
Hands down the best tow company out there. Told me he would be 1 hour, but showed up in less than 40 mins. Got me loaded up and off to the repair shop.
I called for a tow at 1:53pm. The car was picked up and dropped off at mechanic at 3 pm. That’s the fastest tow I’ve ever had in my life. Customer service was friendly and professional. The driver was friendly and professional. Highest rating given!!

Do not get them to tow your vehicle it will not have all parts once you pick it up. Definitely had a lot real bad experience with them. Costing us $2000 to get new transmission & cat after it sat there for a few months
I'm a driver for Crete Carrier and I had a load shift of roll stock paper. The load needed to be readjusted so the weights were legal by DOT standards. Mike and Dusty came out and took control of the situation. They were knowledgeable, quick, friendly and professional. The loaded was secured and the weight was corrected. Thank you all for a pleasant experience.
This company is only concerned with the dollar and not the customer. I hit a deer while traveling through their area.. 4 hours from home and 10 hours from my destination at 10pm at night. The sheriffs department called this company for me then took me to a hotel. I had to get a rental the next morning (on a Friday) in order to continue to my trip. The officer had told me to only take what I needed at the time. I called the company on Saturday to ask if I could stop and get my things out of my car on the way back thru town on Sunday. I was told everyone was out of town and would not help me. However.. they were answering the phones in order to send a truck to whomever needed one (to make that dollar) .. hmm.. but could not give me 10mins of their time.. I was told that I would just have to make the 4 hour trip back on a Monday or whenever they were open in order to get my belongings. No sympathy or hospitality for one in need. I would not recommend them for anyone away from home.
This company is a disgrace to local business (HOW COULD THEY STEAL FROM PEOPLE AT SUCH HARD TIMES) They had my vehicle only one day an before I could pick it up the following business day a gun an money was stolen from it. I am taking this matter to the highest authority to make sure charges are filed, they have no right in the world to take things from people vehicles during towing.
I was Traveling to Texas to help with power restoration for the large power outages and ice storm. My truck got stuck on an icy exit ramp. We flagged down a bear tow truck. They stopped I asked for a easy tug of the ice. I called there office as I was advised. The office said that would be $680, and I said there were 2 trucks. They advised the price would then be double. We ended up blocking the highway with with a little assistance of some locals we were able to pull the trucks back on the highway fairly easily. The locals that heard of this were disgusted. I wouldn’t use bear towing if my life depended on it. Bunch of crooks
On the phone they asked me what's wrong with the car and where is the car getting dropped? When the guy got here to pick up my car, my son called me because he asked the same questions again! On top of that, they charge me $65 to tow my car 2 miles. They towed my car (the SAME car) 4 miles 2 yrs ago and only charged me $50. I told the lady on the phone AND the guy who towed my car that my battery would not keep a charged. When he dropped my car off at the shop, he let all if my windows up and locked my car knowing that I had only given him a key fob. So aggravating. Please be specific and firm when dealing with these people.
My car was towed and kept by bears for a week before I could get it. They stole well over a $1500 of money and property out of my vehicle. Thy stated they had to remove everything so it would be safe. They stole my ss card out of my dashcam to get rid of evidence against them. They didn't realize the footage was backed up to the cloud. So Bears please return everything that was stolen from me or legal actions will be taken. Contact me on here.
These people were nothing but amazing and friendly after my fiance flipped a truck and uhaul. They communicated with us and allowed us to recover our things in the time we needed as we live 3 hours aways. We were moving from Oregon and frazzled and tired to say the least and they were a little ray of light.
The man showed to change a tire and did not have what he needed. He needed a thin walled socket and did not have one. He went to three of my neighbors homes to ask for a four way before realizing he needed a thin one. He was unable to change the tire and we were charged anyway. When I called to address the charge she said she was told it was changed and to hold for someone else. The next woman was defensive and said he couldn't change it because the lugs were stripped out. I argued with her for a minute before she placed me on hold. She came back apologizing and stated that the man would be out to change the tire in just a moment. He did come straight away as did he the day before. He had the proper equipment to change the tire. He placed the donut on and the donut was clearly extremely low in air and when I asked him he said it was not because if you have too much air it will pop off the rim. The rim was on the ground within minutes. Not his fault of course but come on now...even I knew it was flat. So my only issue with the company was this gentleman. I was embarrassed to have hired a company that went to my neighbors to borrow equipment. It was unprofessional. Once he had his supplies it was all good except was he too lazy to add the air in the donut? Do they not do that? I don't know either way but this is my review. Response time was good, price was fair, response to complaint was sufficient.
Oh, he also told us to call them back the next morning to have the car towed because he couldn't get the tire off. (-_-) Like, really? I'm pretty sure the wrench would be cheaper!
I am so aggravated. I locked my keys in the car & they gave me an original ETA of 60 min. I then called back after they didn’t show up & she said it would be 20 more minutes.... that was an hour ago. I have been waiting for 2 hours for them to unlock my car & they are still not here.
James was very nice and helpful. He was prompt and very courteous. I will definitely use this company again as well as recommend to others. The operator was very professional and friendly. She said gave me a time frame and he was there before the time. He called when he was on his way and helped every way possible to get my sons truck home and in the drive way. Safely.
This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. We called around 2:30 p.m. due to a flat on the side of the interstate, they gave us a 90 minute wait time. Well that 90 minutes turned into FOUR HOURS. It wasn’t until a state trooper stopped by and helped with the process and got them moving. It was unacceptable for a four hour wait for 20 minutes outside of Monroe. They offered to replace my tire, but when we call to arrange an arrangement they give us a time to call back and never pick up the phone. I have been without a vehicle for a week, waiting on them to fix my tire due to their unprofessional staff. So thank you to BEARS for giving me horrible service. I’ll be sure to spread the word to NEVER do business with you guys. Oh and The receptionist was the snootiest and rudest person I have ever encountered and if I was the business owner she’d be the first to be fired. I wouldn’t want any negativity projecting from by business and she did just that! Just a horrible look for a business! She was so rude to my mom when trying to contact her.
We had the same experience with rudeness from this company as some of the other reviews posted here. Our company called this location for service and they quoted us a price that ended up being $75./hr more than what they told us because they have a "helper" charge they don't disclose at the time of the call. They also left to do another call in the middle of our call, came back to finish our tow, then added some of that time they were gone to our bill. We typically see a 40 mile tow of a single truck cost $450-$750 depending on where we are in the county, but Bears was able to get that cost up over $1200 for the same work, once they added time and charged us to have their buddy ride along in the passenger's seat of course. They then had the nerve to tell us this was cheap for a tow, and got angry with us for questioning a bill that contained charges previously undisclosed to us when the service was set up. They let us know they were doing us a favor by not keeping the clock running, then threatened to take the truck if we didn't pay the bill we told they we'd definitely pay regardless. If you like getting ripped off, give them a call...they won't let you down. This would be a zero star rating, but Google forces you to put at least one star.
State police called them after my son had an accident. They were rude when I called, nasty when I went to look at MY vehicle and refused to return my calls for balance owed to move my car simply to get an extra $24 for that day. Absolutely no customer service, disrespectful and rude. Will not EVER use again for any reason.
