Honestly some of the nicest and most helpful people. I’m a 19 year old girl and i got in a crash that wasn’t my fault on a road trip to move into college in georgia, i was just making a gas stop and my car got totaled. I was scared, in shock, and by myself Keith the tow truck driver got me to a safer area and hotel where i had to stay, putting both my mom and I as ease. Then when i had to pick up all my personal belongings which was a car FULL of things they helped me get everything out and taken care of. Really I could not have had better people after this horrible experience. Truly I’m greatful.
Great service. Shout out to Dylan. Whether it's broke down in a turning lane at 5 o'clock traffic or dropping off your car while listening to some kid yell insults from his bedroom at us for no reason, he's not fazed. Dude's a Legend.
This past weekend I was involved in an accident, and BRPD responded to the scene. As my vehicle was being hooked up by a tow truck, a bald white man with a beard from Varnado’s and Sons Towing came driving fast onto the scene, blocked the tow truck, and immediately became confrontational and aggressive. What happened next was completely unprofessional and appalling he actually spit on the other truck. This type of behavior is not only hostile and disrespectful, but it’s also completely unacceptable from someone representing a business. I will NEVER use or recommend Varnado’s and Sons Towing. If this is the kind of person they employ, it speaks volumes about the company’s standards. Distasteful, unprofessional, and completely lacking in basic human decency.
They were there in literally 10 minutes, got my car loaded up and drove me and my car back home. Joey was my driver and he and the young man with him were both so nice and so professional. I expected to be sitting there waiting a while for a tow truck! But nope they took no time at all to get out to me. The dispatcher i spoke to was awesome as well, she was so kind while I was so upset with myself. All in all just an awesome and painless experience that didnt cost me an arm and both legs.
Good people. Have no complaints. Family owned. $135/hr labor rate, which is better than most around which average $150 to $155hr/hr. They do quality work.
I've only used them once for a tow, and they air fairly priced. About the middle of the pack. As a bonus, gotta love the ol star spangled banner wrap on their trucks.
Sybil and Trey were awesome to work with... our motorhome broke down they got the part in and had us back on the road the next day. 5 stars isn't a big enough rating for the above and beyond they did for us.
As an African American I can't say enough good things about my experience with Varnado & Sons. From the moment I walked in, the service was prompt and professional and I loved getting to see the diverse staff that took care of me and my family when I needed new tires urgently. They went above and beyond to accommodate my needs.
Not only did they swiftly install the tires, but they also noticed an issue with my water reservoir pump while my car was in the shop. Without hesitation, they offered to take a look and fix it for me. It's this kind of attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile that sets them apart.
The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about providing excellent service. I left feeling confident in my new tires and grateful for their assistance with the unexpected pump issue.

This place needs serious improvement as it relates to customer service. The receptionist at the front desk was very rude and refused to greet me as a customer. I said Hello three times she did not respond. I asked her was she able to hear me and she stated “I’m busy” with a snarky smirk. She seemed as though she was not too fond fond of African Americans. When voicing the concerns to the owner he did absolutely nothing. The rates were somewhat expensive. However the vehicle was towed and stored without issues.
My dump truck lost its brakes on the way home from a job today. Once I stopped I immediately called varnado and explained to them what I had and what I needed. They were extremely quick to give me a price and get me a truck on the way. Within a few hours (I was a good hour from their office) they picked my truck and and dropped it exactly where I wanted it. Highly recommend for quality service, fast service, fair pricing, and people who actually care about you. I will definitely be using again and probably on the same truck.
Needed to have my son's truck towed, it broke down at an auto part store. Called and Michael was there within 15 minutes! He was kind, very courteous and transported it to our mechanic in a timely manner! I was very pleased with their service!!! Back home in 45 min tops.....impressive!!
Scheduled my vehicle to be picked up at a certain time and also worked with me on the payment method because I wouldn't be home when the car was picked up. Fair pricing and got my vehicle to where I needed it and when I needed it there. Will use again anytime I need tow services, hopefully not often though
I Had fast service, late at night. They didn’t hesitate to help me. The communication was excellent. The driver Devon was very professional and efficient. Excellent care of my vehicle. My car stalled out in high water during a heavy rain. While waiting on a tow truck from another company, Lance showed up to tow another vehicle that had stalled, and he suggested I hire his company so that my wife and I could get out of the rain quicker. I did just that. I spoke to Rachel in dispatch and she was friendly and professional. The driver, Lance, was also friendly, professional, and fast. I will definitely use this company for future towing needs based on this experience.
Would have given Varnado & Sons 5 stars if the office lady (Rachel) hadn't have taken a personal call in her cell phone prior to helping the customers standing in front of her. She then proceeded to help a customer who had come in approximately 4 minutes after us.b
Thanks to Devin for getting me and my truck home in one piece, especially because it was the middle of the night. I felt safe in his company and my truck was delivered to my house without a scratch on it. I also appreciate that the price for that tow was completely reasonable. Furthermore, my mother recently had car troubles and Lance came to her rescue. I knew she was in good hands with the people at Varnado and that took a lot of stress off of my shoulders because I was unable to be there. I appreciate the professionalism, friendliness, and care provided by this company more than words can describe. You guys are truly heroes.
It was a complete nightmare. Nothing like being in and accident and having to retrieve you belongings in another parish. An that's not the worst part. Arrived at the facility and was told to drive back to my vehicle. It was parked in about 4 inches of mud and crammed in so tight in between other vehicles it was near impossible to enter the car. Ruined a pair of shoes and it took forever trucking through the mud and all of the squeezing and contorting in and out of the vehicle.
Varnado and sons were hired to deliver two cars to my home. They said they would arrive with the cars at 10:30 am. .... not even close ... they were over three hours late ... unloaded the cars in the wrong order ... since the cars weren’t drivable, we were stuck with it. Front office .... No apologies... no explanations... nothing ... we used a local service to support our community.... in accordance with their policy ... you have to pay in advance ... people took off work to wait on these clowns ... shame on you Varnado and sons .... y’all need to step up... do what you say you’re going to do .... let your clients know what’s going on if there is to be a delay .... what a disappointment... I’ll be going with a national chain from now on ... what a shame
Lee the dispatch operations agent was so calming, polite and, assuring to me that someone would be to my aid soon. Lance arrived to assist me and was truthful about my situation and had me back up and running in no time. This company is not looking for your arms, legs or tows, if it's not what you need. Put these guys on emergency speed dial for all of your family friends and lived ones. My boss recommend them to me and omg was he right. You guys are a great company with excellent employee service
Just called to get a quote on a towing, the guy who answered the phone definitely did not sound like he wanted my business so I made sure he'd never get it. Professionalism and customer service goes a mighty long way! Isn't even about the cost, just your nasty matter-of-fact attitude that makes me not want to do business with you.
Meant to leave a bad review for the Varnado and Sons auto repair company and not the towing company. I’m not sure I understand the management differences given the exchange with Sybil and Pamela on this company’s reviews, but the tow was good and affordable. The auto repair was not good in the least.
Wow! They were the second towing service I called and was glad I did! Not only were they significantly cheaper than the first company, they were also so much friendlier! They were also there in about 15 minutes and had everything loaded up in about the same time. The driver was effective, efficient, and friendly. If you need a tow, these are your people!!
Good people, Great customer service and Excellent towing. They are careful, cautious, and caring. I couldn't have asked for better. They even cook you a little something if you're hungry. Best towing services ever!!
called today and the guy was extremely courteous and scheduled my tow within hour, the charge was also the lowest. Great service at a very fair price. Nice to find a business still around that can and will provide good service at a fair price. I would recommend Varnado & Sons and use them again if needed

We are truly sorry that this happened when picking up your motorhome. We do feel that your review was made in haste, without giving us a chance to make it right before posting such a negative review. So please let me explain.... 1) Your coach came in on 5/15/17, we had 1st estimate ready 5/16/17. We were unable to get approval from you until 5/25/17, at this point we had to order parts for your 17 year old coach as no one stocks parts for this age coach. 2) We had 2 coaches here that looked like yours, when we asked the inspection guy if he had put sticker in your coach he mistakenly thought he had. 3) YES, there was a lot of work done to your a/c system. Sadly one of the parts we had just put on failed so when you got here to pick up coach the a/c was not cooling. We found problem and fixed it. 4) The alarm was caused due to an air pocket in fluid after we had replaced hydraulic hose, once the coach set for a day, waiting on you to pick it up, the air bubble settled causing fluid to be a little low making the alarm come on. HONEST MISTAKES. None of this was done in any attempt to cheat you. WE ARE AN HONEST COMPANY and WE STAND BEHIND OUR WORK. We had all of these things taken care of by that afternoon and ready for you to pick up. Again, we Apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you, your husband or your dad.
