Blew a trailer tire about 6 miles from Morehead City on I-64 on a Saturday night about 9pm. My father-in-law drove on to find a place open that might have a tire. At a Morehead gas station, he was referred to Hesters. He drove to Hesters shop and talked to Robert. Robert said he had two new tires that would fit my trailer. He changed the blown tire and I was back on the road. Before I left I decided to have him change the other trailer tire as well while I was there. Price was very fair for the quality of service and time of night. Much appreciate Robert and this company, we need more like this in this country! Thank you!!!
Vehicle had broken down. Called and while there was some waiting, and the possibility of having to wait a day for a part. It was fixed the same day and in a timely manner that could have easily taken longer. I'm not a mechanic, so it was greatly appreciated.
I watched as the driver and his female passenger parked across 3 of the 5 handicapped parking spaces in front of the pilot travel center just to go in and get some Subway to eat. How can people be so disrespectful. Talk about lazy and rude. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Very nice at first, Then I sent a agreed & also refundabale payment " If there Services weren't needed or surcumchances changed", was promised and guaranteed full reimbursement of $500.00 by Sherry Hester, owner and accounting manager of Hester Towing & Recovery.. After we decided we didn't require any service they had,. I called to inform them to please return the $500.00 downpayment as we had agreed upon.. Sherry stated they would be happy to,.... That was many phone calls, and many months ago !! They " WILL NOT REFUND YOUR DEPOSIT ". In any respectable, honest, or timely manner ! But you can expect Sherry to be out of office suddenly when she finds out whom is trying to contact her!! I've been trying for 4-6 months only to get due refund !!

Incurred damage to my transmission that they refused to claim responsibility for during a tow, resulting in $3300 in damages. Extremely unprofessional behavior/speech directed toward my insurance agent when I filed for damages with my insurance comacom. If you find out that AAA has assigned them for roadside assistance, insist on another service. AAA should be ashamed to use them as a contractor.

These guys came and picked up my truck with a broken wench cable. They proceeded to attempt to hook my truck and pull it up onto the roll-back. When it was on the bed, they put the truck in park, then attempted to drag the truck forward, at which time the cable broke, at which time the chain and all the "stuff" they had connected to the chain flew up and damaged a brake cable on my truck... discovered when they attempted to back my truck down off the bed at the shop.
Now these clowns refuse to pay for the $250 damage I had to pay for the repairs to my brakes - brake line, fluid, fittings, and labor.
Don't let them near your vehicle.
I will recommend this company to anyone, I've dealt with a lot of towing companies in my life and this company is by far the best I've ever dealt with. Had a flat tire on my motorcycle and he took care of the bike and took it to the dealership with no problem at all. Very professional.
Had my car towed 80 miles yesterday by this company. Couldn't have been better. An hour and a half next to William was. a treat. Very personable young man who turned a bad situation into something good. Thanks for the quick response and great service.
We wish there was a rating of 10 Stars cause 5 just isn't enough. We were on I64 East when our Nissan pickup lost power and would not shift into gear. We called Good Sam Roadside Assistance. They sent us Darrell Hester. Darrell helped us find a motel, the necessary transmission for our truck, installed it and delivered our vehicle back to us at the motel ready to drive to our destination. When we did get to our destination we received a call from him making sure we arrived safely and did not have any more mechanical problems. Without him we would have been waiting for at least a week to get going again. Thank you Darrel & Crew.
We were traveling through Kentucky on our way to North Dakota. I hit a tire in the road, and heard a loud flapping. I thought we had s flat, so I pulled over. The undercarriage cover was hanging off, something was dripping, and something else looked busted. A man came out from Hester's, lifted it, looked up under there, told us what had happened, said we wouldn't need to take it in anywhere, wouldnt take any money, and followed us about half a mile down the road to make sure everything was normal. We're super grateful for his kind help. Thank you!
Leveling valve went out at the Eagle Truckstop in morehead, Ky. Hesters came out, look at the old valve, tried to find a match nearby but couldn’t. They went to Volvo on Lexington, Ky & got the part and installed it, made sure the height was correct. Was a 26 hour process, but through out the whole thing, they very polite & kept me informed as to what was going on. Very professional & a job well done, considering their not specifically a heavyvtryck repair shop.

I was very happy with my experience with my tow truck driver Joe! He was very prompt and treated me with respect. Being a woman can sometimes be daunting when dealing with the auto mechanical industry. Joe helped to diagnose and figure out the problem. I ordered a tow truck, waited two hours and they never showed up. I called the company and was told they didn’t even have my name in the system to be picked up. I was stranded for two hours because they made a technical error on their part. They didn’t even want to accept responsibility for it and told me there was nothing they could do about it. I will never call this place again and do not recommend them to anyone.
Our car blew an oil line on the interstate and we managed to limp to the exit. We arranged for Hester to tow the car to their garage and have a look. They got to work on it immediately and had us back on the road quickly. The price was beyond fair, too. Good people doing honest work.
Angels! Got caught in a messy situation, and they saved me. I had no cell service, and they kept in contact with my family to let them know all was well. And they didn't make fun of me for my stupid reason for needing a tow. That, my friend, is priceless.
Hester Towing saved us big time. We were travelling from Colorado to the East coast when the serpentine belt on our RV broke. We were in the middle of nowhere when it happened. We contacted Hester Towing and they went to pick up a replacement belt for us. They then drove to our campsite and worked late into the darkness on a Saturday night to ensure that the serpentine belt was properly replaced. They enabled us to get back on the road Sunday morning as planned. I can't thank them enough. Their rates were super fair and reasonable. Call these guys--they are great!
