1560 pounds difference in and out but they only paid me for 1000 pounds. If I ever go back I'll be taking a picture of the scales reading going in and out. The scales are reading correct weight because truck weight is same as quarry.

I am not sure why these folks are so rude and disrespectful but I have had three separate instances where they get hateful with me because I asked a question about the grades of scrap. I know they have been here a long time and this review won't make a difference to them but it would be nice to have customer focused ownership instead of berating someone because they don't understand the make-believe rules they want to enforce and then becoming belligerent when a question is asked. Very disappointing.
These people are hard working, honest people - save a trip and keep business local- they also have an interesting antique / thrift store set up as well. I’d like to add that the gentleman declaring his ‘alma-mater’ is the University of Louisville, obviously doesn’t know what the term ‘alma-mater’ means and is no way a reflection of actually being affiliated with the institution.
I have known this family for years. They are down to earth, hard working people. They aren't afraid to get their hands dirty to make a buck! Their prices are fair as well
Doing renovations, I accumulate a variety of scrap. Every time there they sort it differently and treat me like I am trying to take advantage of them. Also been yelled at because I stopped my car to ask another customer if they were waiting for an open door. I'm tired of their attitude.
Worth checking out there price very competitive the 2nd time I called 190/ ton for car body's whole best price around within 30 minutes and it's family owned not a franchise I recommend giving them a try
Really weird customer service, it's almost as if they don't want any business or metals. They also paid on the very low end of the spectrum in regards to prices.
Absolutely absurd! 2 tons and $21 is what we received. Bullocks!!! Never returning. Terrible customer service also!!! The money doesn’t make up for the customer service at all
Me and my brother went there with 560 pounds aluminum which at the time of review is worth 50/60 cents a pound...
they gave us $27 along with pretty poor customer service I honestly wouldn’t recommend going to family metals with your scrap id try and find a more legitimate scrap yard but that’s your call
