Car stalled on a busy highway, would not start back. Called Tj’s - they were there in less than 10 minutes, hooked up the car and towed it to the garage. Our driver was very professional, and handled our stressful situation flawlessly!
A one star rating is generous. My daughter was ina car accident. When I arrived they had her car on the back of a tow truck even though the car was drivable. I called to pick up the car a day later to avoid having my insurance company pay to have the car towed to a repair shop. Cost... Well the guy told me it would run $1700 to get my car off their lot! That is a predatory scam to take advantage of insurance companies which then pass the cost to consumers. Companies like this need to be regulated by local government to ensure fair pricing to consumers. Businesses like TJs towing are the reason for extreme increases in auto insurance premiums. They don't deserve to service this community.
This company damaged my number when towing. When I called to see if they would take responsibility the owner got very irate and defensive and started yelling that he should have charged me more. I was trying to avoid filing a police report but will now be moving forward. The damage was $700.
Well, considering the situation I would have to say the guys that I dealt with from here we're great. They were friendly, professional, and really just all around pretty great like I said considering the situation. I would like to thank them if I ever get the chance.
Fast services and reasonable pricing. TJ’s even helped us find a tow when theirs wasn’t available. Not from the area but would recommend their services to anyone around.
Needed some specific work done on my jeep. They did the work quickly, and they did the work correctly. But I was NOT happy to be charged *double* the quoted labor cost for exactly the work that was quoted.
My husband took his truck here for brakes front and back and was paid in full but he didn’t bleed the brakes now the pedal goes to the floor. Gary won’t return his calls to make it right. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
Aweful. All he was worried about was asking me several times about the title to my car and said it costs 175 for towing and 35 per day. After he gear me taking about how was u going to get the money to get it out he started telling me that it was totalled and kept saying to bring him the title. I honestly believe he wants the title to fix it and sell it.
My alternator went out suddenly and Gary, the mechanic they had working today, went out of his way to find me one and fix it within a couple hours. I would definitely recommend them. As a woman alone, i felt very comfortable and at ease there. Not something i can say about most auto places
The only way these guys get business is they have a scam set up with the law to tow your vehicle if they get a call from them. Very, I mean extremely rude, to the point they call you names and the leader of them talks about how he's an ex deputy sheriff while his boy "Kid Rock" follows behind him saying "want me to hold your hat daddy". What a scam, lol.
What a wonderful towing service! I was involved in a terrible accident on 75 and he came immediately, but most importantly was kind and reassuring and took the time to drive myself and my dog to the truck stop to wait for my husband. When we unloaded my car he took my license plate off (which I would have forgotten) and made sure we were set before he left. This was on a Sunday. Highly recommend TJs!!
Pat helped us out big time! We were stuck on a one lane interstate on our way to vacation in a rental with our 3 year old and our dog and a busted tire and he rescued us! He got us to a tire shop immediately!
If in one need in thing done on you cars our truck this the best place to call thay be right on it to get it done thank you tj for getting the job done for me
Price gouging crooks! The car was in the ditch and in less than 15 minutes it took us to get our truck to pull it out, these people came and took our car without our permission or the property owner's permission. Had to pay $200, cash only, to get the car back. Otherwise he was going to tack on a $100 a day charge.
Had to get a car towed to Lexington, I took my wife's car up to the Shop on North Main. And it was on Labor Day not to many people I know would do that. Awesome service and the car arrived within the time I was told. I will always use TJs Towing. Thanks Again
I was involved in a 5 vehicle accident in the rain, late at night on I-75 in London, Ky. My vehicle was not drivable and the guys from TJ’s show up and hand me a business card and said they’d help me and take care of my vehicle, no worries. While there wasn’t any debris on the road by my vehicle, they loaded my car with the rear bumper hanging. The bumper fell off on the highway and they did not retrieve it. We visited the “junk yard” the next day to find they had pried open the drivers door and left it open while raining and it was in the mud surrounded by junk cars and pop bottles. My vehicle was by far, the best one there. This place is a total dump. The owner could not find our key fob in his messy desk. Thankfully our local towing company picked up our vehicle to have repaired in our hometown. The towing bill was over $900!!! They charged for cleanup inwhich they did not clean up anything in the roadway for our vehicle whatsoever!! This towing serving is gauging people in their most vulnerable situations, stuck on the highway in the rain and nowhere to go! They should be ashamed of themselves!! Obviously if I was from this podunk town, I would not recommend this shister business!! If you happen to be in this situation, stuck in London, Ky, do not use TJ’s or be prepared to be taken down the road!!
They bent my suspension towing my vehicle to the lot and acted like they didn’t know anything about it and didn’t even try to make up for it. Terrible place, DO NOT GO HERE
So impressed with these young men. My daughter got hit by a hit and run driver totaled her vehicle. These young men where very concerned about her well being and took care of the vehicle no questions asked. Very professional young men.

i bought a vehicle in April of 2017 - a few months later the battery died when I was at the dr. Office - when I came back to retrieve my vehicle it had been towed - the dr’s office told me that this company was the one that towed my vehicle , so I called them - they asked me “ can you identify it “ well, yes , I can identify my own vehicle . I was told though that because the tags came back registered to someone else there was nothing I could do - no way to get my vehicle back . They never mentioned that the temporary tags were in my name , since I had just bought this car - they were not helpful at all , they told me there was nothing I could do & the car would just sit there. They also told me that the car was suspected to be stolen - but again , the temp tags were registered to me - so why would it have been presumed stolen ? So , here it is 8 months later and my car still sits up there - maybe I should have done more but my resources have been very limited and I believed when they told me there was nothing I could do - but they never took into consideration the fact that the car was registered to me and I carried insurance on the car at the time of the towing - it was like they didn’t want us to get our vehicle back that we had JUST bought . Sketchy ! Don’t trust these people if you have a choice in the matter - I unfortunately did not - I’ve dealt with towing places many times in my life and they always inform you how to get your vehicle back but not this business , they happily keep your vehicle just so it can sit there and take up space - I imagine after a certain amount of days it becomes theirs and they can do whatever they’d like with it - they probably even said we abandoned our vehicle but we Infact called them the same day ! If they can get away with keeping your vehicle , they will !!!!! Point of story , I saved up $1500 to purchase a vehicle and now TJs towing owns the vehicle that I bought with my hard earned money ! Sounds like some great work ethic right there !!! They didn’t just take from me but my 6 year old child as well & unfortunately we don’t have another $1500 to fork out for another vehicle .
