This is a small used car lot in a very small town. The owner is a good guy. He gets a lot of his inventory from the auction. That being said, a lot of his inventory has high miles. He does go through the cars and tries to fix whatever is obviously wrong. The prices are typically very good, and he doesn't try to twist your arm to buy anything. I bought a car from him 4 years ago for $1,600. That car lasted me 4 years until the timing chain broke. It was a solid deal. Now car prices have gone up exponentially and that same car would certainly cost more now. That being said, now that I am back in the used car market again, I am always checking his inventory. Just remember, most cars come from the auction. There's no warranty. A vehicle from their might last you 4 months or 4 years. Do your research, run a carfax, and know what you're getting into. Research the particular vehicle you're interested in. There is a very strong likelihood that I will buy my next car from Bowman's. He won't try to nickel and dime you. Sometimes he has a little bit of wiggle room on his price and other times not so much.
Just bought a car from this place within 2 days started having problems within three i was stranded on the side of the highway with a busted transmission. I have tried reaching to contact the owner with no luck.
We (mother and I) bought a car there a few months ago (spent $4500). Unfortunately things didn't go so well afterwards between the dealer and us. We began having issues with the car, tried contacting him, were informed his person to look at it was unavailable for about a week. We didn't have a week to wait due to how badly we needed a car for our transportation. We tried using two different car shops to work on it without any luck. Currently, we are still trying to have the whole issue resolved (if possible).
Bought 2 cars from here, 2months later finally got the title on one of them, still waiting for the other one, as of now the tags are expired, hasn't been transferred, he says he's waiting on carmax, that it's out of his hands, l bought the car from him, not carmax, something very wrong here.
It seems mr bowman and I have been playing phone tag as it was a holiday weekend. He contacted me today to resolve small issues with nice suv. Appreciate the honesty and willingness to work on the car

A week ago we boughta 2008 Audi A4 2.0 Quattro. We gsve it too our daughter. And then yesterday we purchase a 2008 Nissan Xterra from him.We couldn't be more pleased!He is very honest about the vehicles he has. He will tell you up front of any problems or issues they have.We are extremely happy with our purchase.
We got a fair deal on SUV for my wife. had it about 2 years now and its still doing well. Most of the inventory has high miles, and inventory changes nearly weekly.
If i am ever in need of a car, this will be my guy. He doesn't push sales, no high pressure anything. Pretty laid back kinda dude. Employee in the shop was pretty helpful as well. They seem pretty car savy as well, but don't expect them to do your repairs. They also replaced the battery on our car before we bought it because it wasn't holding a charge.
The bad: really a short list. The owner wasn't very responsive when trying to get the title transfered. We went about 3 weeks before the title was ready to be signed. I don't think it was entire his fault but it was just a little nerve racking having the money that was gone and dealing with him for the first time.
Overall, a good experience. But you must know what you are buying. go in with a clear mind and understanding you aren't getting last years model, you are getting a very used vehicle. And research the vehicle before you buy it.
My parents purchased a vehicle here in 2013. They gave it to me in 2014 and I am STILL driving it! Have I had to have some work done? Yes, plugs, new tires, etc. but the SUV was a 2005 and here we are in 2020 and I am still riding. I could not be happier with my purchase!
I was with my best friend and we went to look at what he had on his lot and the car we ended up picking out was a 2004 Saturn it was a great deal and he serviced it and also put new brakes on it for the price he quoted us to me this was awesome. I will be going back to deal with h again. Very straight up man with a very straight up business.

I have purchased several vehicles from here. Can't beat the prices and value in a small community. The cars are nice and priced accordingly. The owner is knowledgeable and easy to work with. If I ever had a question or issue the staff was more than willing to work with me. You get what you pay for and don't have to drive an hour to get it.
Me and the gentleman running this place had spoken over the phone several times about a vehicle I was interested in. We made an agreement to meet on Saturday to test drive and put a down payment on the car. I arrived Saturday and no one was there. I called, no answer. I left and received a call back. I told him I would call him as soon as I could come up there again. I called about an hour letter, no answer. I then called again on a Tuesday saying I was still interested and would be up there Thursday with the money. Arrived Thursday morning at 10, as soon as they opened and he was selling it as I walked in. I understand all cars are fair game. But I also expect people to honor agreements and attend scheduled meetings. Very unprofessional!
