THE HISTORY OF ROBERTS HEAVY DUTY TOWING INC In 1981, Lee started his towing and recovery career in London, England, when he joined the team of towers at M. V. Recovery Ltd under the watchful eye of Stewart Elphick who Lee credits for his towing practices. Within five years, he had worked his way up to management and managed his first towing facility at the Clacketts Lane service area on the M25 Motorway.

We needed a tow for our 27’ Winnebago, from Georgetown to Lexington, Paul Miller Ford. Ford recommended Robert’s, which was in Good Sam’s Club list, so we requested them! Ernie showed up, within 30-45min! He was very particular about hooking up our Rv making sure all was perfect! We followed him to the Ford service center for large vehicles, and he is a very good driver. So appreciate his care of our home on wheels!🚐💨 Highly recommended!!

I had an issue with one of their wide load drivers flagging me Around him after I told him several times, my trailer would not fit. He finally told me he was stopping I had to go around he was unloading equipment. At this time, I reluctantly pulled around him and ended up doing a lot of damage to my gooseneck trailer, because it slid off the side of the road. I went back after I drove 3 miles up the road and realized that my wheels was falling off. My trailer tried to talk to the driver. He said that I left the scene of an accident and it was my fault.. I did not realize my trailer was damaged until I was further down the road about 3 miles. I called their office left a message not quite 24 hours later. No phone calls no response after I was assured somebody would reach out. This is some of the poorest public relations I’ve ever seen from a company. I would advise you let the city impound your vehicle before you let these people tow it.

They towed my car for parking in a free spot knowing they were in the wrong so they didn't charge me for a storage fee but decided to charge me just for towing.l lost a very good job behind all this a life changing opportunity for me there were no reason for my car being towed just flatout extortion and bullying using using their towing as an illegal means of profiting my life and career has not been the same since smh

Would not recommend. My car was towed there after an accident. It was stolen from their lot then wrecked through their gate and taken on a drive by the thief. Ultimately, it was recovered but it was wrecked and totaled while stolen. I had to go back to the car and get my belongings between the time of my accident and before the theft. The office staff were nice, but the lot worker was really unhelpful. I had an entire trunk load of things I needed to put in my rental car, and they refused to let me bring the rental to the car. I offered to let them ride with me, and they still refused. I had to load my items in their suv and transport to my rental. The issue there was the vehicle was extremely dirty and dusty. It looked like it had been sitting in a gravel pit for years. I was so dirty on my black pants, I had to go home and change before I could go on with my afternoon. My items all had to be dusted off before I could put in the rental. After the theft, they refuse to give me their insurance information or police report number and have been completely uncooperative with my insurance company. Ky Farm Bureau has been a champ for dealing with them. I can not get the owner/manager to come to the phone. If he sees this, please reach out if that’s not your intention. They leave the keys in the vehicle on their lot. That seems very unsafe even behind a gate. They are a very expensive storage lot and they are not delivering service that matches their price. I would’ve expected them to keep my vehicle safe and secure. It was there for accident storage, not some other kind of police impound. I’d give them zero stars if it was an option. Their negligence has cost me a lot of money. Even with a total loss deemed by my insurance, my down payment and added upgrades are lost.

Had a trailer flip over and about kill two horses on Circle 4 few weeks back. It was an Amish man I was hauling for he just bought the two horses and we are taking them home when an axle broke caused the trailer to disconnect and broke a chain and ended up flipping on its side. Cops called tow company just out of reaction without even asking anyone if we needed a tow. He gets there doesn't talk any price until after he flips it over on its side he pulls it about 10 ft out of some brush and then says he's going to have to have another truck come to tow it and that is going to cost $2,400 for that we're like no that should have been discussed before even hooking up I figured it'd be regular rate and their regular rate is $150 an hour we come to find out. Told him we would just tow it ourselves and he ended up charging $1,100 to pull that trailer over. I called the next day to check on their rate and acted like a customer with a truck on its side in my field about 8 miles out of town and confirmed that they're hourly rate was $152 an hour from the time he leaves to the time he gets back to the shop. Well he's only there on this trailer for about 20 minutes and charged us $1,100. My client called and talked to the front desk lady and explain what was going on and she said well that don't sound right let me call him and see what's going on and she never called back and they cashed the check never heard from them again. Dirty dirty that's just wrong. He knew this Amish man had plenty of money or thought so anyway because he had just spent 20 something thousand dollars on horses and seen a Payday. Ain't no use for people like that in this world, good luck with your business
