Not worth your time. All these bays and only allow 5 people at a time. Go find a buddy to help out at home.

I know things change over time, but sometimes it's just ridiculous. Back in the 90's I used to use the auto craft center that was on 58th Street. Everything was very cheap. I was looking at the current prices this craft center charges, crazy. 100 bucks for 4 wheel alignment? You can get it done at a shop for that. Used to you could spend all day at the craft center and use every tool they had available, including alignment machine, for less than 20 bucks. Rent a lift for an oil change and you were out 3 bucks, including the disposal fee. Who's pocketing the money? Is it contract now? It used to be all government purchased equipment, for the soldiers to use, and the "instructors" were all GS civil servants. They got paid the same regardless.

Really nice option to do work yourself and be able to sign out all the tools you need. Manager is super nice and the mechanics to help advise are nice and helpful. The only thing I would say for improvement is to have an employee dedicated to tool sign out. Sometimes the process was taking a long time with only one person taking care of customers walking in so you’d be waiting awhile for tools

This is one of the greatest places ever created for enthusiasts and am so grateful for it. Super great prices to work on your vehicles as well and the guys overseeing what you're doing also are kind and willing to give you tips and tricks to get the job done. Love this place and recommend it all service members

Hours posted on the doors. Plan ahead, especially during the holidays. Bring special tools if you will need them. Again, plan ahead. Parts, how-tos, tools, a buddy or two. Great staff and a clean organized facility.

Love the place and the instructors are great and really helpful. Second time i came and second vehicle i work on. Rent the station for a few dollars and rent your tools if you need them. Go on youtube look at how you should fix your car and you will save hundreds of $$$ working on your car yourself. Best part you don’t get scam by mechanics. Thank you to whoever idea this was, this place help me a lot.

This is one of the best “auto hobby shops” I have seen in my 22 year military career. Specifically what makes this one of the best are the people that work there. Chuck was kind enough for me to stay late to finish the job as I live about 1.5 hours away and there was a holiday the following day (closed). Both Chuck and Jerry helped with some really tough issues with my vehicle that would have had me surely sidelined for days or potentially weeks without their help. Paul was a one man band in the tool room and did a great job of issuing tools and helping customers at the same time. This place is truly a gift for all those car enthusiasts or DIY’s. It is rare to find people who want to help, lifts in every bay, and good hours all in one place.

Great DIY Auto Skills shop. My husband and I use a lift bay and do our oil changes and tire rotations here. If you need help the instructors are there for you. Just check their hours and note you need to get in with time to work before closing.

Great range of tools and equipment for almost any job. Techs always willing to help although when it's busy it can be a challenge for them to get to everyone. One of the best auto skills centers I have used in my career.

Great prices and DIY auto garage for vets and active duty. Also you can pay for work to be done, rent lifts or jacks/stands. They provide you with a decent set of tools everthing else can be checked out or rented. Engine rebuilds are possible with knowledgeable staff that can tell you how to do bout anything you dont already know.

I went on leave for a week left my vehicle at my barracks parking lot came back and AAFES towing company on base had towed it. The vehicle was in perfect condition no flat tires and no police report as to why it was towed. They wanted to charge me $500 but after I went to the MP's and came back with no police report he said ok a $100 I didn't have time to argue I'll bet the guy pocketed the money I just needed my truck back.

Gentleman was nice, we had a part break a week after we were there that we needed to take it back for. Only complaint is that a part we asked him to fix, and were assured was fixed, was not. It's been to them twice and we still don't have heat or air in our van.

Have used Air Assault Auto many times over the years and always had great service and work done at very reasonable prices. Latest saga involved our family vehicle after I changed the spark plugs. Short version, the technician, Rubin, tracked down the problem and fixed it with ease. If you value quality work, great customer service, and HONESTY, this is a great place to take your vehicle(s). If you want overpriced work done by a dishonest shop, go somewhere else.

My vehicle was towed from the visitor's center, I'd left it there overnight. I tried calling their after hours phone number, and the staff were pretty rude for the most part. I think it's unfair that they can tow 24 hours but you can only pick up your vehicle during their normal "store" hours, forcing you to have a multiple day fee. They had to unlock my transmission, and didn't even put back the cover to the gear shift unlock! I'm sure this is a thankless job, but giving better customer service and weekend service for getting your vehicle back would be a big improvement.

So disappointed...not raising hell but gezz I just wanted to move from current RV spot to different spot, but no. Reason to move spots, idiot parked next to us hit our RV. Guess customer service is out the door. Go figure...what do I expect.... Just came to make payment, I paid for two months cause something wasn't right. Sign in sheet of payments says current till January 1, 2019. Well hmm pay was for last month n this month. Reminder to self n others...get a damn receipt. And make sure is 0 balance.

I had my car inspected by another local mechanic shop who told me this weird engine sound I was having was from loose engine mounts. Then I was told that my water pump was bad and front struts. I was suspicious and thought I'd be better off getting a second opinion. Well another close shop I found was Air Assault Auto Repair. I spoke to Ruben who was nice. I told him my issue and he did not even probe me to ask which shop told me that he just simply said to let me bring it in to at least make sure those things needed to be fixed. Well after only a couple hours I was called and told that mounts and water pump were fine and that actually my problem was bad front wheel bearings. I was nervous but gave the ok to fix it and shortly later in the day I was called to pick up the vehicle. I was scared the sound would still be there. I paid and then drove off trying to listen for it. IT WAS GONE!! I was so happy! They were great, they did not gloat or trash the other shop. Like I said they didn't even ask who told me that. Anyways, this was my first experience with this shop and I'll be going back to them in the future that's for sure!

Went by Air Assault Auto right at 5pm, husband's Ford F450 Dually was stuck nose down in about a foot of mud with no hard surfaces anywhere close by, it had been raining for days and then last week too. Long story short, it was pouring rain, ground was extremely soft, truck was extremely stuck with a risk of getting roll back stuck, in less than half hour Steve had the truck pulled out and paperwork was done. He was called at 5:05pm, met me at 5:30, price was reasonable for winching such a big truck out....major thanks..

0 stars.... expensive will do what they can for more work. Charged me $100 for a diagnostic after they diagnosed it I told them to do the work but they incorrectly diagnosed it and it still didn't run paid over $500 in parts that I did not need took them a week to figure out what was wrong the next visit I made with them I got tires and ask for after taking the truck home after they had set my ignition come to find out later the mechanic did not tighten the distributor down after setting the timing also left all kind of things I'm plugged and not where they were meant to be an alignment they told me they could not do the alignment due to my ball joints which they wanted to charge me $1,500 to do I told them no thanks I would do the work myself and then they charged me $40 just to take the truck home they are by far the most expensive place I have ever been to I will not go back there

A tow that cost me hundreds of dollars. The tow truck guy seemed nice and gave me a business card but I cant personally recommend them because they were not upfront with me. After 18 yrs of driving, I got in my first vehicle accident. I was hit by a car that drove through a stop sign and while I was talking to the paramedics and police, Air Assault towing hooked up to my vehicle without asking me. Another thing he didn't tell me and their business card he handed me doesn't say, is that they close at 5pm and are closed on weekends, so I had to pay an extra $25/day storage fee through the weekend. They charge a "road cleaning fee" which they told me after they hooked up to my vehicle. So the other car that was at fault and left most of the glass on the road wouldn't be charged that because they were able to drive off after showing me some bogus insurance information (bogus because the next day I called their insurance company to find out that they were not insured).

Great and honest service! Had a wheel bearing replaced- I was told by another mechanic that the driver side bearing needed to be replaced, but Air Assault Auto technician advised that it was actually the passenger side that needed to be replaced. Be advised that you will have to order parts next door prior to them performing the maintenance on your vehicle.

Had a couple things fixed there at Air Assault auto repair, like lower intake manifold gasket, and Wheel bearings/CV axles both sides. Both cost me over $500 to get repaired there. Little over a year later, the gasket they had put on, went bad and was causing the same problem. Had to take it to the dealer this cost me over 1k. No problems with it since. Wheel bearings and CV axles was replaced maybe 2 years ago. And guess what I’m going to have to replace both bearing and CV axles on both side once again. Maybe it was just my luck with them, I do not know. But if I had to take it to them again I would probably not.
