It was fun to see the Monument since we were in the area!

Great little spot. It has picnic tables under a roof, a cute little chapel with a wind-up music box that plays Amazing Grace, and the town of Lebanon, 1 mile south, has a very nice old filling station that is setup as the visitor's center.

This was a great little area. It has a nice sitting area and the fact that we were at the center of the contiguous 48 states is pretty neat.

Very nice. It was a satisfying feeling to be here. Situated higher than the surrounding area, location offers wonderful vistas, perfect for scenic/panoramic pictures. The location has a covered pavilion with picnic tables. There are permanently placed charcoal grills as well. Great place to have a cookout and/or picnic. Wish we had planned to have a hot dogs & burgers cookout here. Great conversation topic ". . . yes we had a cookout at the heart of the nation." What does that mean Bob? " We had a cookout at the exact center of the 48 contiguous states aka "the heart of the continental USA". Be sure to add your name to the guest register box inside the chapel. If you need an addition to your bucket list, this SHOULD be on it. MUST SEE. Be there. An amazing feeling knowing you are the exact center.

This was such a fun roadside stop! We stopped in the evening in the dark but it was cool to see the history here. The little chapel is really neat and you can leave your name and comments in a box. I wish there was a guest book so you can see where other people are from when you visit. Definitely worth the stop if you are passing through the area!

We visited here on our way to Topeka. It's easy to get to and only a couple miles off the main road. A quiet spot with a small chapel and a few markers to mark the geographic center of the USA. Fun spot if you're looking for unique places to visit. There is a small visitor center and general store about 5 min away in town that sells merch.

Pretty cool place to explore was driving back home to Texas and decided to make a small detour

I am a bit of a nerd when it comes to stops like this ? in case anyone is wondering why there are two markers apparently this location (true center of lower 48) was on private property so they built a more accessible pull off south of this location

This is one of those places we enjoy visiting when in the area... it is nice that it has a monument... chapel...and pavilion... as many we have visited do not... It is well worth the stop...

It was beautiful! And clean! We felt a spiritual connection of some sort from the moment we stepped out of the car. It was very cool. I hope everyone gets to experience this.

It's worth the stop to say you've "been there." Paved state highway right up to it, only a mile off US-281.

Well worth the little side trip. Neat little attraction, VERY well maintained. Bring a picnic, and a camera. Fun trivia connection to the hit television series "SUPERNATURAL", if you're a fan!

Great little stop at the center of the lower 48. We'll maintained with a covered picnic table if you brought lunch. It is peaceful being surrounded by corn and soy bean fields. I suggest entering using 181 to 191. All other roads are dirt, and not awesome if in a low car, pulling a trailer, or driving an RV.

It's a quiet and simple spot. I visited on a Saturday morning and was the only one there, which made for a peaceful experience. I enjoyed listening to the birds singing and even heard an old barn owl hooting. The location is on a hill with nice views, and the grounds are well-maintained, featuring various trees and bushes surrounded by pastures and fields. No administration fee. There’s a shelter with two picnic tables, an extra picnic table, and a couple of grills available. There's also a small, accessible chapel, a monument, and trash cans, plus over a dozen parking stalls. There’s a single piece of playground equipment, but keep in mind that there are no restroom facilities on site; you'll need to go into town for that, which is a couple of miles away. Overall, it's a decent place for a quiet outing, but plan ahead for restroom needs.

If you have the time, it’s unique to say you’ve been here. But it is out of the way and in the middle of nowhere. If you’re like me and not on a time crunch and enjoy unique roadside attractions, worth the pit stop! Not much else around though.

Great little stop, nice place to take a break with picnic tables and nice shade. Stopped at the visitor center in town and tried to get a souvenir, but the local shop was closed by 2pm. It's still worth swinging by and always better than taking the freeway across the country.

In 2021, my husband proposed to me here. <3 JEEP's - "The Middle" is an amazing commercial about the chapel. lt that will give you goosebumps.

There's a quaint chapel you can explore, and the stone features and flags make it a great spot for a photo op. It's a fun outing for the family, perfect for spending quality time together. Bring a picnic and enjoy the serene surroundings. It's a memorable and peaceful place to visit.

Visited the Geographical Center of the US. It was a neat landmark that is more peaceful and quiet than the loud an boisterous monuments you would expect. There is a placard with a brief explanation, a small pavillion and an even smaller church. The drive up there was beautiful as well.

A fun little stop. Standing in the center of the Lower 48! The tiniest chapel sits on the site. We had the place to ourselves so we got to enjoy it a bit longer :)

Nice place. Excuse to ride your motorcycle for a couple hours. Well kept. There is a grill there in case you want to cook something. Curious about the building behind this location. Looks like an old motel.

So we'll maintained and well kept. The marker from 1940 is there as well as a newer monument. There is a small chapel to go pray in. There is also a picnic area with a pavillion and picnic tables along with grills to cook on. There are no restrooms but there are public restrooms about 5 minutes away in town at the visitors center. Definitely a neat place to visit.

I came to pray for all of US that is us as a people and the United States. I have been called to travel the country and pray and this was where I started. In the center or the heart one might say if the country. If you read this you know we our in trouble. It is time to change that mentality and grow as a people. This is a nice place to visit. It is far off the interstate which makes it even more peaceful. It is time to Pray America. Love Yeshua #votejesus2024 #pray!;)

Being a student of history and geography for a number of years, this place was on my Bucket List. The tranquility of the rural setting, the palpable symbolism, and the moment of solitude I enjoyed in the chapel are reasons for this 5-star review. I drove 8hrs to get there and was worth it. If you find yourself within a 100-mile radius of this tucked-away location, take a few moments to visit and pause in the midst of the uniqueness of this country.

Coolness factor is high! Covered picnic area is a good spot for relaxing in the silence of the countryside. Not a man made sound to be heard. Able to photograph such a truly beautiful Kansas landscape. Spotless and minimalist, a small oasis of peacefulness and spirituality where land meets sky. The lovingly kept chapel was a welcomed surprise ???

Ohhh, I'm exhausted. I've been driving for half a day. Kansas has never looked so strange. The land...so foreign. In the distance, a cow is mooing. Milking...a dairy cow, perhaps. My back aches...my heart aches...but my spirit...my spirit is resilient! Thank God I took a turn in Lebanon, and found... THE GEOGRAPHICAL CENTER OF UNITED STATES! Yes!
