Although Google Maps didn't lead me directly to the location, the signs on the sides of the road made the building fairly easy to find. The Recycling Center (#1980) is primarily for household recyclables, so it's perfect for my monthly cardboard collection dropoff (since our housing does not provide any recycling along with trash pickup). Cardboards, plastics, metals etc. are all sorted separately via clearly labeled bins you can drive up to and unload. There is an employee parking lot off the main road at the front of the building, but for dropoff you need to continue driving up to the side of the building (following the signs) where there is a gate for drive-thru dropoff. The employee that was there while I unloaded was very friendly and helpful! With his help, I learned that there is another recycling center for hazardous materials (building #1930) such as used motor oil, coolant, transmission fluid etc. just a bit further down 4th street.
Whoever answered the phone did so in a rough, accusatory manner. Perhaps they should be reminded they work in a customer service position. I don't expect sunshine and roses when I call a military installation but basic courtesy should be expected.
