Wes recycling the only place I'll take my scrap they are the best all employees are great will go out of there way to take care of you treat you like family .
Saw one of their trucks speeding (over 80) on crowded highway near olathe with junk several feet OVER the top of trailer..... 5 gallon buckets of construction junk were falling all over the highway.... it was one of the most dangerous and unprofessional things I have EVER seen.... luckily no one was killed
Had a dumpster dropped off for me to fill with scrap. When they picked it up at the end of December they told me that the would send out the check between 1-30 days. When I called at the beginning of February asking where my check was. I was told “ we will send it out tomorrow”
And now 3 weeks later still haven’t seen the check. I am very disappointed. If I knew I was going to be scammed I would have hauled the scrap myself. If I could give zero stars I would
First time using them. They have a drive thru non-ferrous station I liked. They have a higher threshold on what they accept as number one copper compared to my usual yard. The scale man has very good communication skills. I had help unloading my trailer full of shred.
I'll use them again as I think they are worth the extra drive time. I was in and out very quickly.
Got there Friday 10 minutes late for aluminum and even though Wes's was open and there was still people there working in that part, they told me to come back Tuesday. #*:!:,##_(:!%&!
Professional scrapping and recycling service. Staff was very helpful. They could do a better job of signage on the property. It's confusing for first time visitors.
I've been going to Wes for years they are the absolute best place to take scrap, they are honest which is hard to find in the scrap business I drive miles out of the way to take my business to this place always good people as well.
Big scale/ iron guys are top notch and prices are good for the area five stars. Small scale/ non Farris is another story 1 star. Wes has the best aluminum can price in eastern Kansas, but all classes of copper are very low and prices don't update often. Often experience issues with misclassification of grades compounding when multiple types are being sold. If you sell insulated wire watch precentage. Had issues with number 1 vs 2 vs barebright (clean solid 12 guage wire or larger is there classification) , aluminum extrusion vs sheet, mother boards vs junk board, compressors and electric motors. Wait times at small scale are boarder line atrocious. Watch the tare on scale. Their scales have historically matched mine so I would say they are accurate. I suggest you call out what your selling so operator knows what to grade as. If it's contested make them reload your stuff back on your vehicle and take it to another buyer.
