Im so glad we have a local grocery store. We are fortunate with other small towns loosing theirs that we still have ours and the quality of it as well.
Veggies looked a lot better than the last time I was there. Prices a little high on some stuff, not bad on other things. It's great to have the store in Oskie. Thanks and Merry Christmas.
Truly love this place. Always plenty of friendly, happy employees around, eager to help and call you by name. I can hardly bring myself to shop anywhere else with a gem like this just 12 minutes from home.
Nice little store in a small town. Meat is fresh. Prices are a little high but that's because its in a small town. It still beats driving to a larger chain. By the time you drive, you spend as much in gas. They have great sales that make it better on the pocket book! Employees are friendly!
If you want WalMart prices, spend the gas money and drive the 40 minutes to Walmart. If you want friendly staff, a clean store, and close to home LOCAL shopping, go to this store. They are always helpful, even carrying out and loading groceries in your car if you want the help! The ladies and young adults at check out are fast and funny! The produce section is pretty decent for a small store and doesn’t stink like rotten fruit like some other places, and I don’t have to walk a gigantic store for 3 hours to get what I need and get back home to the important things. Love this store!
Good selection of items would have given five stars except they're not following the mask mandate. No shields between employees and customers and employees are not wearing masks.
Great store! Great staff. Good meat, great produce. Carry brand names and Best Choice brand...some store brands are superior to other name brands. Sad to say people came from out of state (90 minute drive) to gouge on TP, meat, certain canned goods, ice cream.... usually the store limits items if supply is short...they did not plan on so many out of state customers....
The staff is always super friendly and helpful. They always offer to carry out your groceries. The place is kept pretty clean. They have a pretty good variety of food for the size of the store. The prices are higher than the big supermarkets, but not enough to make a trip to Topeka or Lawrence worth it.
The Thriftway in Oskaloosa is very nice. It is very convenient for the people who live in Oskaloosa and Winchester. They have reasonable prices. The people who work there are very friendly. They will even carry out your groceries for you.
Great motivated staff, excellent instock and clean given the age of the facility, helpful staff in meat and produce, less than great every day pricing, good specials.
