Great experience. We had a flat on the side of the highway and when we didn’t have a spare, he went above and beyond to help ua get back to town so we could it replaced.

We had to relocate a car to another part of town. The person on the phone was courteous and professional and asked intelligent questions about the service needed. The driver arrived promptly when promised, and quickly accomplished the tasks associated with the move. The driver even advised me in advance of the additional fee for paying with a card. I am very satisfied with my experience with this business and would strongly recommend them.

I was stranded alone, for the first time in my adult life (48 years old), one mile from the east Manhattan exit. Derek was on call and there are no words really to express my gratitude towards him! He stayed in contact with me and once he arrived, was kind, understanding and so helpful! He made me laugh and kept talking, which helped me tremendously! I have never had to use a tow company and I am SO thankful my first time was with Gross Wrecker Services! Thank you Derek for making a bad day okay!

Wow, I'm very excited to give a good review about this towing company. I got stuck in a ditch in the early morning, and I was scared because I was Almost in complete darkness. Chad came out and got me out fast, and he was courteous, friendly, and his service was amazing. He was so sweet, that if I ever need a towing service again, I'm hoping to get Chad again. He really was a sweetheart and I've never used this towing company before but I will definitely use it again. Thank you, for making this experience worth giving a review

We were broke down injunction City Kansas when our fuel injection system was clogged up by water in our gas tank. Luckily we were in Junction City where we had lived before and could reach out. Marty's paint shop my brother-in-law on Spring Valley Road suggested that if we could to get gross Wrecker Service. My wife said that that would be expensive with their AAA so she called AAA and guess what? Yeah you know it she told that the Wrecker Service would be there in about an hour and much to our surprise as soon as we hung up the phone gross record was standing right next to us with their excellent driver Chad. It was like old family get together time. They professionally took care of our car and towed it over to Manhattan Kansas without putting one little smudge on it anywhere. So if you break down and you really need some real help and probably can get it fast I recommend gross trucker, not because they're probably related to the schmidamin clan in some kind of way it's a very small town but I really suggest using gross wrecker service if you need professional Towing done. I give him a 15 out of 10 but that's because Chad was there in 5 minutes LMAO thank you gross record

As an owner of an insurance agency I feel very comfortable with my customers using Gross Wrecker. Not only do they take pride in their work they also seem to remember along the way that their customers are sitting along the side of the road waiting for help. In addition they do their best to accommodate when customers have children or pets with them and the weather is hot or cold. The old fashion approach they take to business is the reason I will continue to refer customers to them.

This buisness damaged our brand new vehicle while towing it and refuses to work with us on mitigating the situation. Claiming there is no proof of the damage, when their is video proof of the damage on the truck, on the tow truck as it arrived and no damage prior to pickup. Under no circumstances should you contract this company for assistance. It is 700$ worth of damage done to a brand new truck.

Gross went above and beyond to help me get our big rig and trailer back home, 3 states away. The manager made sure the truck's tires and batteries were road worthy (after sitting more than a week), and even had someone meet our driver at the airport and transport him back to their yard. ALL OF THIS AFTER REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS AND OVER A WEEKEND!! Courteous, professional and helpful all the way around and very reasonable rates. This could have been a disaster but Gross was so kind and helpful that I can't say how much I appreciate them.

Tyler was amazingly helpful. Explored every possibility to transport my stranded motor home. When it was determined that Gross didn't have the appropriate equipment, he contacted AAA who determined the best option was to send a unit out of Kansas City to transport the RV to MB dealer in Kansas City. Over the top customer service. Way to go Tyler!

Gross Wrecker has gone above and beyond my expectations when my car was hit @ K18 and I70. From a prompt response time to being more than helpful while I fight the insurance game. I would highly recommend using this business.

Had to use them because that's who AAA sent to get my husband's truck, AAA told them we needed a flat bed to haul his truck they showed up in a regular tow truck. The guy was supposed to wait for my husband at the dealership he dropped at, and didn't. He didn't even bother going in to tell the dealership he left his truck outside. Very unprofessional!

This is the most greedy, unprofessional company I have ever had the disservice of dealing with. They seem to love to prey on people who are in sticky situations with their own vehicles. As if my vehicle breaking down in the middle of a pandemic was not bad enough, this company has ignored my calls, never sent me notification of fees, and refuses to release my property or accept REASONABLE payment. DO NOT use this tow company, they will screw you over in every way possible. The owners are extremely rude, and my interaction with them left me with little faith in humanity. If you value your hard-earned money and time, look elsewhere.

This place may arrive promptly but BE CAREFUL!!!! Highly NOT recommend; unless you just have money to blow! I had to call them about 4:30am the other morning after leaving the hospital. When the driver got there and hooked up, we got in the truck. I just so happen to look over at the trip odometer; which already was at 11.7¿ (It was never reset) So by the time we made it to my house, it was at 40. Me not really thinking about it nor adding the two together plus it was after 6am by this time. I just wanted to paid the man so I could get to bed. The next morning comes and I was talking to my husband. He also reminded me of what I told him I saw & suggested I check my receipt. Well low and behold there it was, it had the whole 40 mile tow charged@ $4 a mile! Please keep in mind that when I called the lady prier, to get an estimate; my GPS only said 32 miles at that point. And while I waited, I also limped further up the road to catch better service to talk to my husband - which I was moving closer to my destination...! So how the hell did the mileage for up not down? ***This was unfair, unethical, nor anyway to do proper business! That $44+ wouldn't make or break this company nor the driver by far! But with the way today's times are; that $44+ could be the difference between a family eating or NOT! It is just fkn despicable that they take advantage of people in distress like that!***

I would never recommend this company! I was in an accident and they came and took my car to their lot a week later I went to get it I had to pay $800.00 I wasent complaining about it I knew itd be about that much but then when they dropped my car off I noticed stuff out of my place I got my keys and starting looking they ROBBED me!!! they stole a xbox1 a vape a ihome!!! and other stuff!!!!! why was these people going through my car and why did they steal mine and my kids stuff??? and the manager refuses to take my calls or call me back!!!!! very unproffessional!!! do not trust these people!!!!!!!!!!!

A friend of mine locked his keys in his car and Gross promptly sent an individual out to my property for assistance. Great. That's where this one star is from. The individual who arrived was extremely unprofessional, and unprepared to assist my friend. He asked to borrow some of my tools and kept complaining my friends vehicle was too difficult to break into (its pre 90s). He made several derogatory comments as well. The driver also texted my friend afterwords in an unprofessional manner. I now realize we probably could have handled this situation ourselves with half the hassle of having an inexperienced wrecker driver with a terrible attitude and lack of professionalism.

One star for quick response. But no more. They sent out an inexperienced service tech to unlock an old vehicle. He could not figure out how to unlock the vehicle, and ended up using our personal tools and our physical aid to figure it out. This isn't the problem. He left, and didn't charge us but didn't tell us how the billing system worked either. So, after careful debate, we called the shop. We didnt want to pay out of pocket full price for doing half the work to unlock the vehicle, using our tools, our aid, etc. The service itself took over a half an hour for him to figure it out. So we called the shop and explained and the woman on the phone was quiet. She asked if he charged us, we said no. And she said then it would need to be addressed with the driver. Let me remind you, we did not know prior to this that that was the case. This is still not the issue. The issue was the extremely unprofessional text that the driver text us with. He included that he "did some things he shouldn't have in order to help us", and "should have walked away when he first couldnt open the door". Along with some other things that should never be received from a professional to a client.

Locked my keys in my vehicle, guy couldn’t get it open, had to use my own tools to get it open. The guy immediately left, didn’t tell me if I’d be getting charged so I called and inquired. I explained the situation to the receptionist over the phone and she said I’d have to square up with the driver. I then got a very unprofessional text message from the driver.

Broke down on I70 at 10:30 at night. Brad was there in less than 30 min. We were pulling our camper and he was able to tow both with zero problems. Even offered to store our camper in his secure lot so we had no fear of it getting stolen!! If that wasn't enough he then gave us a ride to our hotel. I can't say enough good things! I hope you don't need their service but if you do call Brad with Gross. They also contract with AAA.

The night I needed this company wasn't a great one but the owner was very understanding if my means and helped me get back to my car as cheap and fast as possible, and I'm grateful to this day!!! My car was safe and stored not by other cars....thanks so much to you and all I met there!! Grey VW beetle

Walking into this place was like arriving on the slave ship Isabella from Africa the motherland in 1684. The only difference was that it is now 2019 in JC. The 1st time I walked into Gross Wrecker myself and my friend were talked to like we were animals by Brad. Then Brad joked about how the police were in pursuit of him then when they saw me in my Cadillac Escalade they forgot about him speeding then decided to chase me for my “illegal” factory installed lights. The 2nd time was when my husband and I walked into Gross Wrecker today 04-04-2019 the owner Shelby interrupted me before I even got 3 words out and continued to loud talk me until my husband intervened and caught her in her own lie. Our question was why were our personal items taken out of our vehicle by someone who is not the owner of our vehicle. Shelby immediately told us do not ever step one foot on her property or she will call the police “ after we were already out the door. ????? like she was on some plantation back in the 1700’s in Jamestown, Virginia. When I told her she was a racist and that I would call the police on her for all of the unlawful things she has done she called the police on us.????????Thumbs down. Zero stars. I will start my own towing business just for people of color to not have their civil rights violated. A lawsuit follows. This business is a total racist joke. Thomas is a great guy! He saw that I was having some car troubles in the Dillions parking lot and swung by to see if I needed a hand. He helped me get my vehicle started and did not even ask for a tip. I gave him one off of the strength of his kindness and willingness to help someone in need. 5 stars.

I am very unhappy with this towing company. My boyfriend and I got in a wreck on the 11th of July. They were very quick to come pick up the truck. The following day we went in to go see if we could pick up our keys, phones, and insurance cards from it and they told us we were not able to. I had to beg to get my keys and my boyfriends phone. When we brought it to the attention of other people that we couldn’t get our person stuff they all told us that they are supposed to let us get out the stuff we need from our vehicles. Then today (two days after) I went in to go get the bill from them towing my truck so I could take it to my insurance company they were really rude to me when I asked for it. I told the daughter that was there that my insurance company said they needed it and her response was we don’t have one for your truck yet. Very unprofessional of them to not already have the bill ready. I am very disappointed with this twining company I will not be calling them again.

Though I'm very thankful they helped me husband while his car caught on fire last night, when I went to their offices they were very rude and unprofessional! The woman sitting in the back office is full of attitude. If she wants to work in customer service, she needs to learn some common courtesy. We will NEVER be using their services ever again and do NOT reccomend them.

Car broke down at 5:30 am near Manhattan Airport. Called USAA Roadside Assistance and was given Gross Wrecker Services as towing provider (estimated wait time 1 hour). Actual outside temperature was -4 degrees. I called Gross Wrecker, spoke to Kara to confirm that they were indeed coming in a timely fashion so I would not be in danger. She obviously had been sleeping and wasn't very interested in getting my information, she was very impatient and was borderline rude. After waiting two hours in -4 degree temperature (I am a very patient person) no one arrived. I called a friend to pick me up. I then called Gross Wrecker Services AGAIN, spoke to Kara AGAIN to see what had happened, they apparently did not receive all the information they needed from USAA so they weren't sending anyone. I explained to Kara that a phone call indicating that no one was coming would have been helpful considering the dangerous conditions outside. I also explained that it is probably in Gross Wrecker Service's best interest to follow up with USAA and/or the customer (me) so that people weren't left on the side of the road in arctic conditions. Extremely grateful I was alone and did not have my family with me. Customer service on this day was terrible...UPDATE: just confirmed that my vehicle has finally been picked up and being taken to my desired location: Total Wait Time: 5 hours.

Mr. Gross stopped and helped me get a trailer back up and hooked to my Jeep after it came off. I'd been in bad shape if he hadn't shown up as I forgot my phone. He didn't charge a dime!
