This will be my new go to. We use to go to cracker barrel once a month in JC from Salina. This is now the new place to go. So friendly and the food was fantastic. The cole slaw was amazing.
What an amazing hidden gem in Longford..dont wanna reccomend so it doesn't get to crowded..but amazing food and homestyle atmosphere..Will def make this a regular spot!
Little café in a small town. Food is always good. Stop by sometime for a meal. Check thier Facebook page for announcements. They will put if they are closed for vacation or a holiday on there. Saves you a trip if they happened to be closed.
This restaurant is one of those "best kept secrets" of Kansas. A very unassuming building in a small Kansas town, hide an awesome dining experience. Very clean small town cafe/diner ambiance. Wholesome menu selections and excellent service,

Great food dinner is busy but is a wonderful place to take your family to for dinner. I understand the reason the service was a bit slow every time we went there it was very busy and the people were very friendly. They have a book for people who are from out of town to sign. I definitely will be going back wen I visit my family again. I highly recommend a visit to the place if your ever in the area!
My business partner and I had been working in the area, and finally had a chance to stop for lunch. We walked into the restaurant and it was completely empty except for employees. We were warmly greeted, seated, given menus and we ordered. Then I realized I urgently needed to make a business called to the East Coast before 5 PM their time. At 3:52 PM our time, I was outside zigzagging around the street, walking in circles, standing on my truck trying to get a good enough cell signal without success. I somewhat frantically went back into the restaurant and asked if I could please use a landline phone. I told her it was urgent and that it was an 800 number, and even offered to let her dial it. She smiled and handed me the phone. Saved the day. A short time later our food came. I love fried chicken, and these folks hit it out of the park! The food, the people, all fantastic. If I end up in the area again at meal time, I will most definitely go here.
A small town staple, so good people drive for miles to come for a visit. The Sunday Fried Chicken buffet is very popular, but our last visit on a Saturday for lunch was also very good. The food is reasonably priced, you get excellent service, and we left feeling very full after an excellent Chicken Fried Steak, sides, and a slice of pie. If you're looking for a place to go for a meal outside of the big city, you won't go wrong with a trip up to Longford!
Tonight was my second visit here. I wish the Coachlight was on my regular path. The fried chicken is SO GOOD here. If you're ever in the area this is well worth checking out for yourself.
Good small town restaurant, good service and great food! It was nice working out of town to sit down in a quiet place meet with family and enjoy lunch!
This is actually in my community and I am proud of that. It is a community/family establishment that personifies rural farming family hospitality and simple, honest food. Real portions, and prices that have remained modest in the wake of inflation, and a quaint, simple atmosphere. They often are the hosts to family gatherings and reunions.
We had the 21 piece shrimp dinner with mashed potatoes, house salad and pie for dessert. Wife had a Peach and I had Apple pie, warmed with ice cream. Both were good.
You must check out the Coachlight’s fried chicken buffet on Saturday. We were visiting the area from Michigan and it came highly recommended and did not disappoint!

The simple fact that the food was great, only surpassed by the friendly and fantastic service made the whole experience one that I am so glad we did.
My wife and I and a friend from church went there today after church. None of us had ever eaten there but after eating the buffet I know that we’ll all be coming back. I told the lady that waited on us that this could be the best bargain in the state. We was all overwhelmed with the food -service-cleanliness-friendliness-and prices. On a scale of 1 to 10 I rate it a 10+!
My family has been eating here every time we are in the area. Fried chicken. Pie. Can't go wrong. Drink as much water while in this area - best tasting in the state!
We love this place so much, wonderful people and absolutely great home cooking dishes.. fried chicken is to die for and the coconut cream pie you just passed on go to heaven.
Nice little diner in Longford, me and my dad have been here to eat when we pick up bottled water for my mother's business. Longford has the best water in Kansas. Food is always delicious and it has a nice home country-ish feel.
Great as always. We don't get to go aa often as we'd like to anymore, but it is a real treat when we do. It is nice to see a small country town restaurant still thriving. We love their daily specials and especially enjoy the homemade pies. Friendly local staff always makes it a joy to keep going back.
Fried chicken buffet the last Saturday of every month is really worth the drive to Longford Kansas. The food is excellent and servers are very busy but attentive to each table. So happy they were able to reopen with dine-in again.
Nice Italian restaurant. Great food, great staff. The room is large and well decorated. The restaurant is located in a convenient place with plenty of street parking.
Low crowd the day we were there. But good service and good food. Will go again.
Revisited here for lunch on Aug 1. Very good! Very busy. Large crowd. Cowboys coming in off the range from working cattle. The young waitress never missed a beat! Extremely good service. The country fried steak special was very good. Coconut cream pie was extremely good!
Excellent service. Fried chicken dinner. You also get your choice of a salad, potato, veggie and either a fourth of half a chicken plus a dinner roll. Best food in Kansas!
My sister in law owns this restaurant and my mother in law cooks here. This is her life and she puts everything she has into this restaurant. This is a historic restaurant that my sister in law has kept running with original recipes. I have met people states away that have known about this restaurant.
