Nice friendly staff. Good place to make some quick cash for scrap metal, and they need a new flag. If anyone in the local area could get this to the boy scouts and have them decommissioned. I'll bring in a new flag.
I have been hauling semi loads of scrap iron for over 2 years now and have been to multiple scrap yards in the area. SCCS is by far the best one to haul to. There is always a clean path to wherever they need you to unload at. The workers are always friendly and helpful. Twice now the guys in the shop helped switch out tires for me when I've realized I had a flat. Kenny who usually unloads me is always kind and fast and efficient. And all of the office people are super! Especially rachel at the front desk. She always greets me with a friendly smile and bubbly personality and usually has some type of SCCS novelty item for me! 10/10 recommend bringing your scrap iron here!
Saw a guy across the pile just playing with the other magnet that’s nowhere near the pile as we waited 30 minutes before a group of 4 vehicles decided to back up and just throw everything out by hand. Why have us pull up to the magnet if the guy isn’t even gonna use it and we have to pull everything by hand?
These guys are on the ball. If you are a scrapper bring your materials to them.

What a wonderful team I was late to deliver on a Friday afternoon and the GM weighed me in and out and ensured I got unloaded. Terry had a great attitude about staying late to unload me . I was very impressed with the entire experience
Will not purchase a used catalytic converter from your vehicle if you have a loan on the vehicle. You must have the title to the vehicle in your possession, and your current registration and insurance does not count. Absolute insanity. Sell your scrap catalytic converters elsewhere.
Nothing like being told to go back into yard or donate your load. Tell me if this makes sense. Someone or anyone who brings in scrap whether, take for instance any vehicle, a vehicle has,metal,glass plastic,wire electronics,wire,aluminum,stainless,cloth,leather, am I missing anything else, some with condensing units in them with gases still in them and sometimes one or two,who knows how many with gas tanks with gas in them and they take them. Me I recycle electronics. When I take a flat screen apart,I take all the electronics out,all the wire out, separate aluminum stainless from magnetic metal so the only thing left is plastic, metal and glass, and they tell me they don't take tv's. How is this different from what a vehicle has in it. At least with me, there getting basically 3 pieces left after I dismantle a TV. That's not the only thing I had in trailer, I had rotors, shocks, springs ........ car parts from auto shop I pick up from, and they tell me the glass weighs more that the metal, are you kidding me. This place socks, all they want to do is degrade so they they can pay the least. Amount to anyone.
Service was quick and efficient!!! The guys that weigh the precious metals such as copper, aluminum and so on were friendly and courteous. Also the lady up front is always so nice and to the point. Thank you!!! P.S. The magnet guy is on top of things 100%
I had clean and uncleaned aluminum and was paid only 20 cents a pound for all of it. The cleaned and unclean was separated. I Should have beenpaid more for the cleaned.
