Bought a Jeep hardtop from this salvage yard. Got emails images of the top the next day with scratches all over the top, then offered another. Took half the day off to get the top, then called again and told the one I was getting had too much fire damage?? Have a soft top that needs replaced, now my money is tied up in refund. Go somewhere else. Go somewhere else., save yourself the hassle.
Messaged the seller confirming the belt was good. Seller stated "has been tested and is confirmed to function as intended", purchased and days later they say "it failed our quality control". Not sure which to believe, or they never had the part to begin with. They did refund my money, but still, do not advertise something that you don't intend to sell, don't have, or give the customer a different story.
I live in Minnesota and my boneyard found the trailer hitch I needed at Sandhill. From start-to-finish every touch point with them was professional. I would have no hesitation buying anything from Sandhill sight unseen.
P.S. I swung by Sandhill on a business trip to KC so I don't know about how they ship parts.
Be aware that if you go here, you cannot explore the lot. Apparently, due to insurance, you must know exactly what part you’re looking for and be accompanied by staff directly to the part. My son and a buddy drove a three hour round trip to be turned away without being allowed on the lot. You have a lot that huge, advertise during the Super Bowl, but nowhere on the website could we find where it says you cannot walk the lot. Dissatisfied and disappointed.
Lobby is really fancy for a junkyard, lol. ( You'll get it if you visit. ) Staff is very friendly, seemed to have an adequate amount of cars to get parts from. I'll be back and definitely approve of any and everyone to do business here.
Wonderful customer Service. I was impressed with knowledgeable staff that had made sure I had the correct auto parts that I requested. I was able to pick them up quickly and was comfortable with my choice as they had the parts tagged with recipes and took proper measures to assure that they had the plugs in the radiator to make sure it was safe from debis .I will definitely utilize their services in the future and recommend them to others.

All of the staff is very friendly and help you find the part you need even if they don't have it themselves! If for some reason the part is faulty they will get you taken care of one way or another. Recommend giving them a try if you haven't already
They are extremely fast, welcoming and most of all knowledgeable. They are also decently priced! A few year ago my boyfriend got a transmission for my car and he just recently got a motor for a friend's car. Both in good condition and function as they're supposed. They stand by the things that they sell with a 90 day guarantee. I highly recommend them to everyone looking for vehicle parts.

I heard this place is good, the website said they had the parts I needed, so I drove 1.5hrs to get them. Their automated phone call (that said they were busy with customers, said hitting 5 would tell me business hours, and said they were open). Their Facebook page also said they were open. I drove 1.5hrs to end up seeing the gate shut and a sign saying they're closed. I bet the service is good, but I wouldn't know since they failed to say anywhere, but a paper sign on the door that they're closed on 11/27/20. I'm annoyed that I wasted what little free time and money I had to drive there. Literally the only way to know they were closed was the paper taped to the door. Hopefully they see this because their phone just says they are working with customers (even though they're closed) and I cant find an email. Sorry to publicly post this, but due to my current life situation I don't have a lot of time to waste.
If you are looking for a part for your car, they either have it or will find it. Very nice staff and very much ready to help! I have gotten a number of parts and all were exceptional.
They had the parts that I needed for my 32 year old Cougar, one part was damaged in shipping, but they fully reimbursed me, so they were good to me. I would Recommend this place to a friend.
Good junkyard to for oem parts. Have good selection of different makes and model of vehicles. Prices are very reasonable and friendly staff. Can sometimes get parts if they don't have what your looking for just requires payment first.
I do some restoration work on the side , and Sandhill is one of the reasons I have been successful . I don't buy a lot of items from Sandhill but I have been very happy with everything I have purchased . The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable , if they don't have it on hand they can get it usually within a few days . Very fair and reasonable prices . Several times they have gone the extra mile to get me what I need to complete a job . We purchased a used motor. My wife picked it up and the guys loaded it and secured it for her. After installing the motor we had issues with the motor. When I called and let them know they were great about working with us until the issue was resolved and we were satisfied. The whole time they were positive about getting it right!

For my f250 with a 4.9l motor and was told they had one for $25 got there and what they had was one from a 5.8 l that would not work for me so i drove all that way and wasted my time and gas. I won't buy from you ever again it's not like it didnt cost me close to that in gas
I needed a part for my Saab, and nowhere in the Des Moines metro had it. I was referred to Sandhill, and they were very helpful and polite. The part they had for me ended up being defective, but they gladly helped find the part elsewhere and got it sent straight to my house. Terrific customer service!
