My husband and I were out of town and our daughter called crying. She was stuck on the interstate in Council Bluffs with a stalled vehicle. It was rush hour and busy. I called Dave Lyons Towing and asked them if they could go and tow her home. They had her picked up and towed home within a half an hour. Wonderful people and family owned business. I can’t express how much I appreciated them at that time! Very thankful for a great company!!!
We had a large amount of damage from the last storm that we were cleaning up. In that process, a loader got laid down on its side. It was a Sunday, and Todd answered immediately and quickly responded. When we got the bill, we were shocked that it was half of what other companies would have charged, but we were incredibly thankful. Later, my husband got a text from Todd stating that he didn't realize my husband was retired military and that our bill was taken care. His responsiveness and quick service was enough to make me recommend his services, however being a good person is icing on the cake. 100% recommend.
It was a HOT and HUMID Sunday afternoon when I needed a front-end loader set back on all four wheels at my place in rural Kennard, NE. Todd answered the phone and made the trip without hesitation, and did it in minimal time. Made it look easy. Very reasonably priced. Recommend Todd to anyone in need of recovery services.

My wife and I were stranded on I 80 on a Sunday evening. Lucked out and looked up Dave Lyon towing and repair. Todd was there quickly and towed us to his shop. Fixed our pickup after getting parts on Monday morning. Could have gouged us but barely charged us anything. We were having a terrible day and their honesty and kindness were just what we needed. Can’t recommend them enough!
On Aug 7th 2024 I was driving on I-80 when someone ahead of me hit some kind of pipe and it flew back and ricocheted under my car and impaled my gas tank. My insurance company couldn't get a tow truck driver to come get me. Four hours later, an Iowa State Trooper drove by and gave me the name of a service which happened to be Dave Lyon Towing and Recovery. Trevor was the driver. He was the perfect gentleman! He had to tow my vehicle to their garage, as any other place of repair was closed for the evening. He told me it was best to take it to the dealership in Council Bluffs. Any repair shop has to order parts from a dealership anyway. So I thought this was sound advice. I don't live in IA, but I'm from IA. I'm a recent widow and to be stuck on the side of the road for almost 5 hrs was traumatizing to say the least. Trevor and his company gave me a peace of mind, and I felt safe. He had plans that evening for dinner, and I'm sure I made him late but he was not going to just leave me there until he was sure my family could come get me from Des Moines. We only had to wait 15 min. Trevor treated me with such respect. The kind of hospitality that Iowan's are famous for! I highly recommend this Towing company!! Thank you for taking care of my vehicle without damaging the car further, and for Towing it again the next morning! You can tell they care about you and your car! This was a huge deal for me, as my husband used to do all this for me. I actually got through this. To have to deal with this all by myself, with this company, this driver Trevor, you couldn't have done better!! You Rock!! A+ You certainly went the extra mile, literally!!❤️
Dave Lyon towing and repair was excellent with checking out my car. He was honest and thorough. Even though he didn’t have to fix anything, he gave me recommendations on what to do and where to go! Small town values and treats people like family! 100% would use them again!!
After a fuel issue I crash landed my brothers airplane in a field outside Neola Iowa. Dave and his crew uprighted the plane and put it back on its wheels with zero additional damage to the aircraft. Real professionals!! Not only with their skill in Picking the aircraft up and putting it on the road, but also their ability to communicate well and show human kindness. Very happy with service. Rescued me and fixed my trailer axle in timely manner so that I could complete my 2800 mile trip from DeTour Village MI to Fresno CA. They greased my trailer jack and cleaned the wheel where my bearing disentergrated. Thanks for help with AAA.

Todd the owner of Dave's Towing was extremely nice! He confirmed our location and knows the area very well. He's a mechanic as well, he was able to quickly diagnose the problem. When he found out my wife and kids were with me as well sent his wife with a vehicle to help us get back to his shop. When we felt like we were stranded in the middle of nowhere he was quickly there within 15 minutes. If you're stuck anywhere between Omaha and the eastside of Omaha into Iowa Dave Lyon towing is the best around, with 24 hour services we would go out of our way to receive such great and specific help.
They were further from my broken down car on I80 near Minden than the Wings Towing in Avoca and charged me less to tow my car to Avoca,Iowa! Total bonus that the tow truck driver was absolutely sweet and adorable!!
Ran over a truck bumper that fell off a semi and flattened 3 tires. Trevor showed up to pickup my wife and I and our 2 cats and take us to the dealership. Great friendly service and were there in no time!
We were stuck on I80 with a flat tire. Another towing company couldn’t get to us for 2 hours and suggested Dave Lyons. As promised Dave arrived 20 minutes later, loaded our vehicle and drove us to the tire dealer. Dave is highly competent, professional and friendly.
I haven't had a road side breakdown in many years and really don't know what to do. But... Dave Lyon came out quickly and professionally to tow my car back to Omaha. As an aside, many small cars have plastic front ends and low ground clearance. Not an issue here. It's nice to know you only have to call and people like this come to help you.
Got ditched between Neola and Persia. Called Dave Lyon's Towing and had one of their servicemen, Todd, take my call. He was very friendly and spared no time getting to my location. The owner drove over to help me get my car started when I ran out of gas en route to the east coast. Being a Diesel engine, it needed some starter fluid to get the gas flowing through the pipes and up to the engine before it would start again (which I did not know at the time).
Dave was very friendly and helpful, and we were able to get on the road again in no time!
We needed a forklift hauled from Missouri Valley, IA to Lincoln, NE on short notice. Called two other companies who could do it, but not until next day. Called this company, and Trevor answered the phone. He priced a very competitive quote, and was at the pick up location within 30 minutes. Due to his prompt response, the pickup site was not ready. He could have easily left, and I wouldn't have blamed him. Instead, he waited well over an hour until they could get to the forklift. Once loaded up, Trevor called me with an ETA. He arrived a couple minutes earlier than he said he would, and was very professional and courteous the entire time. Unfortunately, their garage was backed up and they were unable to work on my pickup right away and instead of having my vehicle longer than necessary, they recommended another shop and promptly got my vehicle there.
Very timely and helpful. I was 40 minutes from seeing my family and had a flat on the interstate. They got me to Paco’s tire safely and I was back on the road. Great people and fairly priced.
