Hire them! If I could give more than five stars, I absolutely would. I needed my classic car towed and was very nervous about the process, but they exceeded every expectation. The team was professional, careful, and treated my car with great attention from start to finish. They made sure it was loaded, transported, and unloaded without a single issue or scratch. This company ignores DOT travel not advised notices, puts their truck in the ditch, then leaves one star reviews on multiple pages for the wrecker service that the company called after they were given a price ahead of time. You could have called someone else if you didn't like it. You created the problem you were in. Maybe holding yourself accountable would have been the correct reaction. $595.00/hr for a $1million rotator to come save your driver is not excessive at all during a clear sunny day let alone a blizzard, after hours, on a weekend. Looks like you have left negative reviews for other companies that have helped you and your drivers as well. If you wanna save a buck you may want to invest in your own operators, insurance, and wreckers. I hope you have the day you deserve. What comes around goes around.
Had a flat tire in a snowstorm, stranded off the highway on the exit ramp and after calling 5 other Tow Companies/ shops, Roy's came to the rescue! They were all very friendly and easy to work with. Got us towed off to a safe place and changed the tire to get us back on the road! I would definitely recommend them 100%!!
Got a tow from Jesse B the morning of christmas eve. Showed up quick, was friendly and professional. My Truck was missing one of the wheels. Jesse made sure to load up without damaging the rotor that was sitting on the ground!
A slight mix up in where my car was tonight but Katie from Capital City and Cameron from Roy's helped me get to my vehicle after close. There's been alot of emotions after the wreck but I'm grateful to have friendly people help me.
If I could rate these guys zero stars, I would. Quoted $350, but they charged $860 without telling us. They later claimed a 2-hour minimum that was never mentioned, even though the tow took only about 1 hour and 20 minutes. Very misleading — big scammers, be careful.
Helped tow my car after it stalled! Josh was very helpful and quick! Reasonable price but a great choice. Hope if I ever need a tow again I can get Josh!
On Friday Sept 19th we in Des Moines to celebrate my husband's birthday. The trip was ruined by a problem with the trucks right front tire. Through our insurance carrier we were referred to Roy's Towing and Recovery service. The tow driver, Jessie B arrived within a half hour of our call. We were so relieved to see a friendly face, he was quick to troubleshoot the problem. Within a few minutes he raised the truck on his tow truck and graciously helped us to get in the truck. We were about 50 miles from our home; Jessie was very friendly, professional and put us at ease. The trip home was pleasant and within no time we arrived to our residence in the country. If we ever have the misfortune of being stranded again, we would call your Towing service and hope that Jessie was available.
2 MONTHS...still not resolved. Time to contact a lawyer and the state insurance commissioner.
Was 5 but now 1 star only because I have to give stars to post a review- Due to damage and lack of response and now trying to deny the fact they even towed my car...would rather push my car than have them tow any vehicle of mine ever again.....it's been a MONTH!
My vehicle was damaged while loading on the truck. The driver failed to tell me. I have video and he knew it happened. You can see the moment he realizes what happened. I hadnt reviewed the video until after I was told about the damage by my mechanic. I have submitted my repair estimate to Roy's and have been waiting for almost a week for their response.

This is the 2nd time I've had an encounter with Jesse and each time it is a pleasure. He is professional, efficient and courteous and customer-centric.
Towed me out of my Apartment Parking Lot at 11:00 on a Saturday night while I was still moving in. Charged me $280 dollars to get it back the next day, with an extra $50 on top of that because my sunroof was “open”. Absolutely predatory BS.
My husband I were stuck on the interstate last night after we blew a coolant hose. We called around and every place wanted to charge huge amounts of money plus mileage! So we called Roy's and we got a wonderful lady on the phone who gave us a quote and got us a driver to pick us and the car up and tow us 1.5 hrs back to Southwest Iowa!!! I wish I could remember the drivers name, because he was just an absolute joy to our stressful end of our weekend trip!!! This company and their dispatch team are truly forever in our hearts!!! We are so incredibly grateful for them!!! Seriously the entire team needs a pay raise! I will always recommend them to anyone in need of help!!!
My wife and I were traveling to meet our family. We were flabbergasted when our rear passenger tire popped 2 hours before our destination. It was nearing midnight. The tire was corroded on the axel and impossible to change without specialty tools. Nearly all Towing services were closed and our hope was dwindling. Praise be to God Josh at Roy’s Towing and Recovery came to our assistance. Josh arrived at the scene within a reasonable time frame after receiving our call for aid and had that tire changed in no time. He was very respectful to myself and my family and cared about our safety. He even repacked our trunk.
From out-of-town and needed a late night tow. Prompt service from Hayden, with helpful delivery to where I needed to go and kindness showed to my kids who were with me. Given the circumstances, it couldn’t have gone smoother.

Josh with Roy's Towing was wonderful. My battery was dead and I have Roadside assistance through State Farm. They sent Josh with Roy's out and he arrived promptly and got my car started. He is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend.
Josh with Roy’s Towing and Recovery is amazing. This is the first time I needed to have my vehicle towed and let me tell you that this was the best experience I could have ever asked for. He was not only early to the pick up but also was very helpful and informed me about many things that I wouldn’t have known. He not only took care of me but my vehicle too. Amazing service, super kind, very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very helpful too. Josh definitely deserves a raise and I highly recommend Josh and everyone at Roy’s Towing and Recovery they made the stress go away and are super easy to work with. They charge $2000 for 5 minutes of work. Truck was stuck right on the road because of winter conditions and they just moved it forward for 5 meters.They don’t spend 2 hours to came in the place as they said. Right after my truck they pulled the other guy out 1 mile away. I am pretty shure that he got charged for “2 hours of service” as well. If you need towing serves, try to find somebody else. This people can robe you

I was woken up by crow tow at 2am telling me I had to move my broken down car out of the our driveway, I called Roy’s towing and the lady I spoke to was very kind and helpful. Their driver Tyrone came and helped us out within the hour and got us taken care of! He was amazing! He provided Excellent service and he saved us so much money! Will 100% use them again for future needs.
To the gentleman who helped me tow my truck I apologize I forgot his name. I honestly called five different companies yesterday and today two companies One told me they’re not available until tomorrow and no one would answer. They were too busy so I’m grateful this gentlemen was able to come and get my truck and was able to bring it to me. He is amazing worker and especially during this weather is cold and brutal. Continue doing good work. I would definitely recommend this company.
My battery was a victim of the latest cold weather/blizzard and so I was in desperate need of a jump start, and Roy’s came through! They weren’t sure they would be able to come out today and then I got a call within an hour from a staff member (I believe he said his name was Owen) who said he would be there in 10 minutes! He was quick and efficient and even stayed with my running vehicle for a few minutes so I could go back into my apartment and get my purse so I could leave! Thanks, Roy’s Towing!
After 6 hours of trying to get a tow truck for our medium duty vehicle, Roy's towing came to the rescue. Because other towers attempted to tow our sprinter van and had the rear end scraping while just lifting it, they had no idea how to do so without damaging it. We even had a tower get upset with us because we told them his equipment wouldn't work and it was too small so he ended up dinging our van when he left! Curtis at Roy's took his time and found solutions quickly! He took care of the vehicle as if it was his own and we seriously do appreciate it. Not a single scratch or ding!
I’m from Minnesota and went down a county B Rd. in Iowa after heavy rains where my GPS sent me… Not knowing that the road would be impossible to get through and ended up sliding into the ditch. I called and had a very quick response. Best yet was Derek who helped me out of a very stressful situation. Being in the middle of nowhere and failing helpless is not a great thing for an older one. Derek was absolutely marvelous, and although it took us a while to get me out of a sticky situation, we did it! His calm, cool demeanor, and his friendliness and great smile was something I did not expect on a day that had turned to be such a challenge! I cannot recommend, Roy’s towing and recovery service enough! From the woman who took my initial phone call to the owner, who called me to assess the situation and tell me help was on the way to wonderful Derek for getting me out of the mess. It all truly was a great experience! Thank you so much it’s nice to know that there’s such a good people you can turn to because most throwing services I cannot say that about!
Had Roy’s come out after I woke up to find a tire had gone completely flat on my 2022 Ford F-350. Had to get to an important job so I took my wife’s car and left her to meet the driver. When I went to put the new tire on myself a few days later, I found that the driver had badly scraped up the bolt cover and didn’t say a word to my wife. This is a brand-new truck that cost me nearly $90,000; the carelessness of the driver has cost me another $250 for the part and time that I didn’t have to replace it. Extremely sloppy work, very disappointing.
