my son was visiting from Wichita & in route to a friend's house his car broke down. Called Roy's Towing & they came out as quickly as they could. very personable & did a great job. If I ever need a car towed again I will call Roy's!!

We needed a tow. We were trying to limp to the KW in Des Moines, it wasn't working. Got on the phone with the company and Derrick was there within the hour. We hooked and booked. He was nice and friendly. Made me laugh. Awesome guy. Thanks. If ever we need a tow again and we are close by, we will be calling.

Luke changed our flat tire on the rainy interstate on Sunday (Mother's Day) night, quickly and with a smile. He was friendly and professional! Excellent service!

I apologize as I don't remember the guys name who towed my vehicle but he was great! Very friendly, went over the little details of how/what he was going to do. I have AAA and even though I had a rough time dealing with them, this tow company was absolutely incredible while also dealing with AAA themselves. 10/10 recommend!

Called for a jumpstart, driver showed up and the jumpack was dead. We tried cables but the dispatcher wouldn't give enough time to trickle charge enough to start my pickup. Driver had to leave and dispatcher wouldn't let him leave without payment for a service I didn't receive, they told him I either have to pay or my pickup would be towe, my pickup is still dead, and I'm out $80. Do not recommend them at all. The driver was not at fault, he was simply doing what he was told. If you took your vehicle to an auto shop to have something fixed and they were unable to fix it, you wouldn't be expecting to pay full price, I offered to pay half, I understand fuel and time isn't free, however expecting someone to pay full price for a service that wasn't completed and threatening to town my vehicle and still being without a running pickup is ridiculous. Poor management whoever is running this place.

Had Roy’s come out after I woke up to find a tire had gone completely flat on my 2022 Ford F-350. Had to get to an important job so I took my wife’s car and left her to meet the driver. When I went to put the new tire on myself a few days later, I found that the driver had badly scraped up the bolt cover and didn’t say a word to my wife. This is a brand-new truck that cost me nearly $90,000; the carelessness of the driver has cost me another $250 for the part and time that I didn’t have to replace it. Extremely sloppy work, very disappointing.

Great Job during the last snow storm! I found myself and my 96 F-250 stuck in a snow bank. Denzel Came right out and freed the truck then brought her home! Very courteous, helpful and polite. I would definitely use them again!

I had a dead battery and needed a tow. I called Roy’s and Luke came out fairly quickly! He got my car up and running and then didn’t even need to have it towed in! Very personable! Saved the day! I would definitely call them again!

This company was supposed to take my car via police dept. to Freedom tire on Grand! But said because they didn't have a card on file, ( which they could have called me!) They took my car to impound and then charged me for that as well!! Invoice even says, " TOWED TO FREEDOM TIRE! And keys were in the car! Then I was gouged for 2 towing fees, and a gate/personal belongings release fee of another $35 bucks! Felt like I truly got the shaft from this company! They could have called me which the officer had all of my info and received my credit card over the phone! Even when I went down to pay the owner wouldn't take anything off the bill! Piss poor customer service and was out for the money they shouldn't have earned! I'll never call this place!!

My battery was a victim of the latest cold weather/blizzard and so I was in desperate need of a jump start, and Roy’s came through! They weren’t sure they would be able to come out today and then I got a call within an hour from a staff member (I believe he said his name was Owen) who said he would be there in 10 minutes! He was quick and efficient and even stayed with my running vehicle for a few minutes so I could go back into my apartment and get my purse so I could leave! Thanks, Roy’s Towing!

I made arrangements to have my car towed back to my home. They were on-time and incredibly professional. They had to spend a little extra time positioning the car right were I needed it in my driveway. The driver was awesome and had a great attitude. Great experience. I highly recommend.

I’m from Minnesota and went down a county B Rd. in Iowa after heavy rains where my GPS sent me… Not knowing that the road would be impossible to get through and ended up sliding into the ditch. I called and had a very quick response. Best yet was Derek who helped me out of a very stressful situation. Being in the middle of nowhere and failing helpless is not a great thing for an older one. Derek was absolutely marvelous, and although it took us a while to get me out of a sticky situation, we did it! His calm, cool demeanor, and his friendliness and great smile was something I did not expect on a day that had turned to be such a challenge! I cannot recommend, Roy’s towing and recovery service enough! From the woman who took my initial phone call to the owner, who called me to assess the situation and tell me help was on the way to wonderful Derek for getting me out of the mess. It all truly was a great experience! Thank you so much it’s nice to know that there’s such a good people you can turn to because most throwing services I cannot say that about!

I requested service through my insurance and the driver first came and tried to jump star the car. With no success . He later came to tie away my car. I wish I had asked his name because he was so respectful and professional. Did an absolute amazing job of taking my car out of the garage and on the tow truck. He was respectful of the property , other drivers going in and out of the parking g lot and just did a great job. He was kind and very much service oriented regardless of the heat and uncomfortable situation at the parking lot. THANKS!!

Owen was fantastic, picked me up at my house and removed my car from the ditch after the recent snow storm smoothly and rapidly. Highly recommend!

Manager showed up to assist when he found out we were stranded just outside of the city on I80 ( Des Moines). He blocked our car from the traffic and had our spare put on in a jiffy. I would recommend them to anyone. They care about others safety and we’re polite and courteous.

I was in town visiting some friends and needed a tow. The service I received from Roy's was fast and professional. The driver was very nice and I highly recommend them. If I need a tow truck in that area again I'm definitely contacting Roy's!

While vacationing recently in Iowa we experienced a broken axle on our camper. It was a Sunday evening and we unfortunately broke down on the side of east I80. We called about twelve different companies requesting a tow but no one could help us. After two hours of sitting next to the freeway with traffic zooming by we finally called the Sheriff's office and explained our situation. They immediately dispatched a Deputy to sit behind us with their lights flashing, took down our information and contacted Roy's Towing to send out a truck. Roy's sent a flat bed truck large enough to accommodate both our truck and camper. Upon arrival Chad (the driver) assessed the situation and felt it was best to load both the truck and camper and get us off the road as quickly as possible. We had no idea on where to have the camper towed but Chad knew of a facility called Absolute Repair. He towed us there, unloaded the truck and camper and called the owner of Absolute Repair to let him know we were in his parking lot. He made sure that we were in a safe area and after asking if he could help us any further he left. Chad was very professional and knew what he was doing. He certainly put us at ease and helped to make an unfortunate situation a lot better. We appreciate his recommendation of Absolute Repair. They did take very good care of us and got us back on the road quickly just as Chad said they would. Again - thank you Chad!

Absolutely the best towing company. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They didn’t make me seem stupid for asking so many questions and helped me along the way. On the day of the actual pickup to tow my car the driver, Kyle, was super sweet! Answered any and all questions, was careful with my car, and thanked me afterwards. He was literally the best. So thank you directly to him once more! Plus it wasn’t super expensive to get my car towed! I was thinking it would be $200 and up but nope! If I ever need towing done I’ll definitely use these guys again.

I was in Iowa for work and my company truck got towed from a shopping center. Went to get the company vehicle back and they WOULD NOT take a company credit card, even though there was a credit card machine sitting right on the counter, which forced me to miss a day of work, as I am in the service industry and depend on my truck to get to customers house's. That caused the company I work for to get a 1 star review, while I arranged for my boss to wire me money (my debit card was in the towed vehicle so i couldn't get cash from an ATM) Had to make it there in a 1 hour window as they were only open from 11am-noon to get vehicles out. Horrible policy's, horrible hours, not accomidating at all. That being said, the lady working seemed nice, but forced to enforce bad policy. I feel bad that she has to work for a company like this. If you are using them for just towing or lockout service, this review may not be accurate for those services. I have no idea about their response time or their truck operators. This review only reflects my experience in their office, dealing with their policies and customer service. I would think, them being in the service industry, would understand the importance of a truck to conduct business.
