Had a great experience with Nelson Automotive with my jk jeep it was getting hot they took it in right away put new thermostat in good as new. It started running hot again they took it In right away looked it over nothing wrong and explained to us how jeeps run hot. We were impressed that they didn’t try to make up something and charge us for something that didn’t need to be fixed and charge us an outrageous price. Recommend Nelson’s automotive to anyone.

I did not have a pleasant experience after purchasing my slightly used F150 from Nelson Automotive. The day I picked up the vehicle and drove it home, there was a puddle of oil under the truck. Nelson admitted upfront they had to replace the oil pan gasket and ASSURED me the leak was taken care of, however the problem was not fixed. I approached Nelson about this issue of a truck that I had owned less than 24 hours, and they went radio silence. No response. I had to have the local Ford dealer properly fix the oil pan leak and it ended up costing an additional $1300. I approached Nelson again about this issue and they still have yet to respond and it has been over 5 months. Multiple calls, voicemails, emails; nothing returned. I am extremely disappointed in the serviced provided.
Brian was extremely helpful and great to work with. Was not pushy in any regard, and was a very nice guy. I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from him! You won’t be let down. Great shop with great people.
I needed a tire repaired and couldn’t get there until 5:30 and the last appt they schedule is 5. He said he would ask one of the guys to stay so I could get it repaired. Very accommodating and didn’t act out out at all. After my repair they explained a couple concerns they had about my tires and gave me the information I needed. I would go here again, you don’t find service like this very often. Hometown feel.
These people are the most honest and trustworthy of any mechanic I have ever worked with in the past. They service all of my personal as well as work vehicles. As far as I am concerned # 1. Rare to find a company with as good as service in today’s world. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
I have Been taking my RV here to get serviced and also to work on my generator and was informed I need a new carburetor. Since the previous owner recommended this place I thought I would be in good hands, instead the mechanic at the front desk is rude and if I ask a question he rolls his eyes and acts like he does not want my business. I took it to another mechanic and he could not believe I was told I need a new carb. He continued to tell me this has had very poor service and whoever has worked on this generator does not know what they are doing. The spring is missing off the carb, the bolts had to be drilled out, very dirty, all because negligence and now is costing me over $4100.00. All my tire caps were missing and not properly aligned and were full of mud. They had to be blown out and it cost me another $110.00. Nelson Automotive got their wish, they will not be working on this motorhome again.
Wow! One lie after the other. I did not need a carb and now after a real professional has worked on my generator I drove to south Carolina and ran the generator most of the trip. Purrs like a kitten. The previous owner only took it it to Nelson automotive and generator was working when I bought it and the mechanic at Nelson said everything was ok so he just got it working good enough for owner to sell knowing it had problems.
I was able to get my car in quickly, they assesed the problem for free, and I was able to drive it home the next day. Very friendly and they explained things well.
Just stopped by to ask him a question about 95 Cougar I'm doing some front-end work on. The guy that I talk to was very helpful and very honest he told me I could bring it in and have it done there and what it would cost and quite honestly I will probably take it there just so I don't have the headache
Exceptional service. They listen and really care about helping you find a vehicle and/or service your vehicle. Been a customer of their's for a long time.
I test drove a truck, the oil had just been changed,ball joints greased, the truck was clean inside and out. High mileage truck and I noticed one problem and they knew of the problem and already had parts to repair it. Usually in the high mileage low dollar world you look at junk. Nelson had the truck clean and planned on fixing what needed done, even on this truck where there is not much money to be made. This leads me to believe they plan on building a reputation instead of a quick sale. I would definitely buy from them!
Good people, nice selection of used vehicles. They fix anything that drives. I have bought three vehicles from them over the years all I drove to well over 200k before replacing.
