I called Rick's 3 times to get a quote & schedule towing. Unfortunately I found their service to be very unprofessional & unable to provide clear information about their services & policies. I found better & faster service through 1 of their competitors.
My girlfriend was in an accident and ricks was well priced, and fast to respond! Justin I believe was the drivers name. He was great! Highly recommend if you need a tow! The officers sent Roy’s out and they was $254 so we declined them and called Rick’s!
We all do stupid crap and we'll cars get towed. I once dated a girl from my 600lb life but she was a skinny 750lb and we wanted to go out on a date and considered using a tow truck to get around , maybe use bacon grease on the bed and wrench her up, awesome!

The worker stated i didn’t have to pay to get my stuff out of my totalled car, she started screaming i had to pay and made fun of my missing tooth due to crash i almost lost my life. She came trying to throw me out BE CAREFUL WITH THIS PEOPLE making fun of my missing tooth due to a crash is crazy to me. It’s a veneer you lady its broken not a missing tooth. Working there really gotten to you trash.
I called Ricks Towing and told them I had a backhoe ready for pickup at Contractors Rental and gave them the address of where it needed to go. They took it from there and called when it was done. They didn't mess around getting it done. Will call them for all my towing and hauling! Thanks Bill and Kathy!
I called him because I broke down in Lynville doing Spark delivery. I had a lot of trouble getting someone to come out and I ended up having to stay in my cold car overnight because of it.
I had part of the towing fee in cash and asked if he might work with me on the rest since I'm a Senior.
Nope. No heart, no mercy. Like so many businesses now, just money and greed and not helping a neighbor in need.
However, I then found a really WONDERFUL company out of Ottumwa and they were just good, decent people who I highly recommend.
I urge everybody to defer to businesses willing to help their neighbor in need, and boycott those who will not.
Your semi driver just passed me speeding on 100 street. This is a very dangerous situation especially with a company vehicle and a semi hauling a load. You probably ought to have a driver meeting. Accidents can cause injuries or death.
Update that's why we have the internet to let companies know about bad experiences with employees without having to call and wait on hold. Apparently you seen this fast enough.
Man, So worst of all days for me and I'm a freaggin mechanic! Had my wife and I in our 2014 van and power went out. We got our son to pick us up (mind you it was snowing quite a bit).
We call around and everyone was "too busy"...ALL EXCEPT Rick's Towing. Man their driver Austin Farr was incredibly awesome to talk to for sure. A great guy to have as an employee because you can see his dedication....plus he was at work. Most places had people call in and what not but he still got to it and likely has made a lot of people happy with both speedy service and overall great attitude. Beyond grateful for these guys taking a risk out there to get us all out of harms way....Thanks Ricks Towing!! VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!

I was pulled over in Urbandale and unfortunately arrested, and the officer said he was going to leave my truck at the Git N Go where we were, with the key in it, so my ex wife could come get it. It was after midnight on Saturday when my trip to Polk County Bed and Breakfast began. My ex wife went to get the truck within 30 minutes and it was gone. I bonded out before daylight, called Crowtow and Roys and G&S, nobody had it, couldn't get ahold of Urbandale PD until I finally found the dispatch number, they called me back and said that Rick's had it. I called Rick's and they had it, said he total was $181.00. I went to get it the next day after work, and Rick's stayed open a few minutes after closing cuz I called and said I was on the way. That was nice. The total, however, had increased to $329.00. In explanation the girl was trying to say that after the first 24 hrs it was based on calender days, and she counted Saturday as a full day's charge, and said the price per day changes every day, and added an administrative fee that is the same as the daily charge of $49.00. I feel like there was some attempted fast talk in the pricing...EVERY day is based on a calender day, the price per day is constant, that's why they call it "per day". People in the position of getting their car out of impound are already struggling, uf not their car would be legit, then they get took at the impound yard. But it is what it is. As for Rick's, there was no damage to my truck, I had some cash plainly visible on the center console, and it was untouched, they towed another car out of the way of my truck, stayed late, and were very accommodating.
cody helped us out when we were stranded on the side of the highway, even though he was woken up in the middle of the night to come rescue us. I appreciated his help and positive attitude during a moment that was not incredibly awesome. honestly, the bill wasn’t too bad either. if you’re in a pinch in the area, would recommend!
Cody was exceptional and so helpful. Came to our rescue after being stranded on the shoulder of the highway after a brutal day at the music festival in town. Super nice and helpful about any tips or things he noticed about the car to help us once we got it fixed.
When my son's air ride went out I Googled the nearest tow company and called Rick's for my 1st time ever.
I was impressed with how quickly a straight-forward quote was and how smoothly everything went.
I was advised my driver would arrive in 1 - 2 hours and about an hour and a half later the driver called as promised and showed up with a positive attitude and I knew I could trust my vehicle would he handled with the appropriate care.
I had my vehicle towed to a shop 35 miles aways by choice and given the distance, the cost was fair and the entire process was top notch.
IF I ever need a tow again, I will be calling Ricks!
Needed my car towed to an auto shop, so I called Ricks. Within about 10 minutes they had someone out here towing it out of my garage. Great service, quick, and easy.
I had another company bail on me when my family car broke down. So upon the recommendation of my community- I called Rick’s towing. A very nice woman answered and was so friendly and helpful. She even offered a tow within an hour, and I had to push back due to work schedules. However, before noon- my car was back home and secured.
I had originally planned to walk to where it was located about two miles down the road, and she immediately said, we can pick up the keys, assess the charge and then take payment. Without a hitch, Rick’s towing did what others claim they can do and don’t.
I for one, am extremely grateful for the professionalism of this outfit. Ryan, the driver came with a “GREAT” attitude and friendly demeanor. It was a comfortable and pleasant experience. Love supporting small businesses -and I am more than thrilled to say, this is a top notch business. Highly recommended.

This was easily the best tow service I’ve had to use! John was the driver and he was very professional about everything! I had asked him to be gentle with the car because a different tow company had broken the front bumper before and he was absolutely as careful as he could be! If I ever get stranded in this area again I know who I’ll be calling! Would most definitely recommend them if you need a tow!
Paying for a town company (alot of money) to get my car out of ditch (got stuck in snow last week) sucks, amd its never fun. So it would be easy to make a negative review......
BUT..... I must say they were very very professional and did the tow in a timely fasion. Price was about $200 to tow about 5 miles. I thought that seemed
High, but checked a few other places, and there wasnt
that much fifference. Their customer service was great, and will definitely use this company again.... but hopefully we will not need to use agaim
My Forester decided to not run one day after work and a jump start would not resolve the issue. I called Rick's Towing and we were able to set up a time to tow my vehicle to a mechanic shop a few weeks in advanced. They did an excellent job overall and the price was very reasonable. If you are having car trouble and/or need a tow scheduled, definitely call Rick's Towing up and they will take care of you and your vehicle.
My Ford was damaged in the storm of 8.10, and Ricks was the tow company suggested my insurance carrier. Skylar came out to get my Ford, was on time, was pleasant and professional and super sweet. Based on that interaction alone, I will use them again and recommend them highly!
I cannot thank Bill and Kathy enough for their quick response and professionalism. I have dealt with a number of different tow companies over the years and they are the best-no questions asked! They got my car out of a very hairy situation where another tow company ultimately failed. Don’t second guess your decision just call them first and rest easy as they will arrive quickly and take care of business. Customer for life!
