Prepayed $129.99 for a towing job down the road to a shop. Driver was 40 minutes late to the scheduled time. We confirm the job was pre prayed and they just needed to tow the car to the shop. Driver gets to the shop, and demands a $250 payment for the vehicle to the shop owner. The shop owner has his own towing service and refused to pay, as well as said it was over priced. The driver leaves, with the car. He disappears for 4 hours, we got a hold of his boss, who told him to bring the car back to the shop. 5 hours go by, and he still has not returned the vehicle. We had to contact the police department, who ordered the company to return my car or they would be investigating.
After the matter, we checked and J&E actually over charged us on the card for the “inconvenience”. Do NOT do business here.
J&E Towing's service is exceptionally poor, marked by a complete lack of communication. My car suffered irreparable damage under their care, with the entire driver's side door torn off. Shockingly, they failed to communicate any information about the extent of the damage, and attempts to reach them by phone or text have been futile. To add insult to injury, I discovered my driver's side door panel in a tree near the towing scene, revealing the sheer negligence involved. It appears that they left my driver's door open during the tow, resulting in the catastrophic damage and rendering my car undrivable. The absence of communication regarding the harm inflicted on my vehicle is utterly unacceptable.
They were quick at responding but Joel charged way too much. At first they said 230$ but ended up charging me 329.00$ just because I had a truck. They did not keep their word and changed pricing on me at the last minute.
They were the only ones available to help us with our car winter storm 2024. They were fast and had great customer service. Price was fair. Will be using them from now on for any towing needs.
Just saved me and my 2011 Camry from being high and dry and in the middle of a Beaverdale snow dune in -6 degree weather. Super nice and a good price. Course that is in the eye of the beholder but even with a tip pretty damn reasonable considering he had to dig a bit just to wench it.
Super inexperienced, took over 8 hours for a simple tow. Spent more time trying to fix my truck to get my wheel on then they did towing it. Wouldn’t have got the job done if me and my employees didn’t help the 3 of them. Good news my truck made it to its destination. I’m not happy with how long it took or the price it cost. Very disappointed in my 1100 dollar tow bill

Truck broke down on the side of the road and they had a truck there in no time but I ended up fixing the truck myself and not needing a tow still a great service to use highly recommend

Scheduled a tow. They told me to meet them in 30 minutes. Got there in 20, saw I wasn’t there and then jus left. I called to see what the deal was and they told me to bad he was already there.

Found them just by searching Google, they quoted me a price, came within the time period stated (actually early), brought my vehicle home, and the price was exactly what I was quoted. If I'm being honest, because of experiences in the past with other companies, I was expecting none of the things I listed above to turn out favorably. I was wrong, and wish I could be proven wrong like this way more often.
Joel and the vehicle towing company save me last night, they drove out to near Atlantic Iowa from Des Moines to haul me back to the Des Moines metro. Joel answer the phone got my location and showed up properly with a great attitude and a heck of a work ethic. Keep in mind when I called Joel initially it was almost 9 at night how many companies respond like that. His rates were more than fair he was kind courteous and very respectful I want to thank Joel for that it was a breath of fresh air.

Called them almost 2 hours ago he said it would be 70 for a mile and that he was on his way we have been at the car this whole time saw one tow truck from crow tow with a car on it we call him back and ask if he'd ever going to come he said he looked every where for us and couldn't find us we let him know exactly where we are and what car it is tried to call him back 15 minutes later he never answered the phone or replied to our messages every other tow company in town is 3 or 4 hours out and we both have to work early in the morning so thank you for that.
I called him and then he randomly made me hang up and he called me from a different number. He told me to text him the address. I texted him the address. About 30 minutes later he said he was still waiting so I sent it to him again. Another hour later he still hadn't arrived, I called and he hadn't left yet. Someone randomly stopped by to help me out and managed to resolve my issue. The whole situation felt shady to me and it felt kind of unprofessional. The process wasn't communicated very well and we kept missing signals.
Called on Friday morning. Was told it would be an hour. 45 minutes later they call and say all the trucks are busy and they just can't come at all. Called Perry's and they were there in 15 min and $20 cheaper.
They were quick and very nice (in my own experience this is rare), which is very nice when you're broken down on the side of the road and in need of a tow. Along with their nice customer service is a nice price, and in my own experience having used tow companies around the area in the past, was the most affordable.
I called them at 9am for a tow from the southside to Beaverdale area.. The guy told me he would tow it to my house by 11am. I called around noon to make sure everything was fine and I was told he was on his way to my car (mind you I put the key in the ignition) at 1:40pm I get a text saying his truck broke down and I need to find someone else! Wow. Just wow.
They were available when I called. Only took 15 mins to get to my house. And they are the Cheapest place in town. Not to mention they also got my car on the truck in 5 mins.. The 3 men were VERY FRIENDLY!!! Will remember this place next time I need a tow
I was on way to Perry when my car battery died on highway 80. I looked up online got these guys' phone number. Joe arrived to jumpstart my car within 30 min. I will be using them from now on.
If you need a tow, this is the place to use! They made a tow a fun experience. Extreme quick (they were to me within 30 mins of my call, quoted my $70 from the south side to Urbandale and they were of their word. This is by far the best tow company I have ever seen. I would highly recommend them.
I would say I was having a bad morning. On my way to work my car automatically stopped in the free way. I called the 247Des Moines Towing, and I was impressed by the professional of the guy that was answering the phone. I told them my issue and they sent a tow truck within 30 minutes. The driver was fast, but careful with the connecting and the disconnecting processes. He got me to work first, he was very professional and helpful. I was very pleasant and plus the price was very reasonable. I appreciate your customer service, and I will recommend you to my friends. I give you FIVE STARS.
