The staff at Scrap Processors made it simple for my family to recycle our used light fixtures from our home. While I am not their typical customer, the workers made me feel welcomed, and I felt good knowing the fixtures would be recycled instead of going to the landfill.
Friendly service , prices are good . Facilities are modern ,, but pay with check and check no good for 2 hours until they process it. Nothing posted saying they pay with checks.. if paid in cash then this would be a 5 Stat review
Horrible place drove 75 miles to get there and they wouldn't buy my load because I had pieces of cars and all of a sudden they want titles for pieces of cars after I have sold them several other loads exactly like this one and never got asked for anything. I don't recommend these clowns to anyone they are rude and not in anyway helpful. They don't care about there customers at all! I generate alot of scrap per month(30+ tons) and they just lost my business for sure!
I went for my first time yesterday and it was pretty clean and organized. It was also easy to do. It's by the pound so you could earn several dollars, especially copper

Me and my ten year old son decided to load up all the scrap I have had laying around the yard from several rebuilders, many automotive repairs, and some other scrap metal. So 1/29/24 at 335pm we drove in. I've never taken a truck load of scrap in before at this location so I stopped and walked in to tell them what I have and see what I should do. The guy tells me to go to the scale and weigh in then go unload into a giant pile of scrap. I do this then go sit on the scale and go park. Me and my child walk in to get paid. When we get in there they act like we weren't there then say thanks. I said can I get my check. He says we didn't bother weighing you in because it might not of been over 500 pounds. I said it was at least that it was all heavy stuff. He then states sorry maybe you can go dig it all out of there then or something. So I had to sit there and explain to my son how we just got robbed by this place and how it's ok because this is obviously how this business operates by stealing from people. It's pretty sad that this place has to rob people. I'd have to assume they do this to dozens of people daily. I've brought stuff in here and never had a problem before however I will never return to deal with thieves.
Whether I’ve been here for professional or personal business, it has always been a great experience. The place is clean, well organized, and the employees have always been friendly and helpful.
A great place to load, they do there best to get ya in and out, employees are great people to work with, clean environment, nothing bad to say about this place
Outstanding customer service!!! The staff are so polite and helpful. Hands down the best scrap processing company in iowa. I will be doing all of my scrap related business with this company for as long as I'm scrapping period.
Terrible service with impatient lazy workers. The guy in the office was rude and not helpful directing me where to unload. The yard guys were lazy and tried to pay shreddable for everything including my stainless, aluminum, and cast iron. They weren't even busy. There was one other customer who had already unloaded. This place will try to do the least work possible and take advantage of new customers / ignorance, so be aware.
Great place to take in scrap metals. If you're not sure what you have or what they will buy or how to sort it, call or stop by first and ask. They will help you out. Fast and efficient service.
Not happy with there customer service! One guy that worked in the office was very rude and not helpful, this was my first time there and I told him that I was just dropping off a bed frame, I felt because I’m a female, I didn’t get good customer service. I left very unhappy. I came here because I read they have good reviews so I drove further out because of the good comments.
Terrible prices go somewhere else, I talked to 2 different employees and they didn’t say more than 3 words. I didn’t find out what they were offering me until they gave me the money and it was way less than a lot of the other places.
I love the guys there, Steve and Steven...they get you in and out fast. They know what they are doing, and it shows.. Can't wait to see the NEW BUILDING.. So proud of this business.. Well deserved guys. Enjoy..
Yea it’s quick and easy, but they are just unpleasant people except maybe 1 guy. Especially the front desk guy, he’s rude and makes it seem like you’re wasting his time every time I’ve been there.
The first time I ever sold scrap metal was at Scrap Processors. I was sixteen years old in 2000. I know the employees on a first name basis and I have always felt like they paid better than their competitors. If you sell scrap metals, I highly recommend seeing the guys at SPI. I dont scrap as much as I used to, but it's always a pleasure doing business with them. Thanks guys.
These guys make your life easy. Get you in and out in a hurry and are kind to customers. Employees running their equipment will have your scrap emptied in no time. Very pleased.
