Parts bent and damaged and missing components. Said they would adjust the price accordingly at the time parts are picked up. It did not happen. 6 hours round trip. Never again!
Terrible customer service. The staff was unhelpful and gave very little information. We bought a transmission that didn’t work, and they told us it needed programming. After having it professionally programmed, we were told the issue was with the transmission itself. They refused to honor the warranty, blaming the installation. We bought another transmission elsewhere, installed it the same way, and it’s worked perfectly. Won’t buy from here again.
Muddy. My niece got a car from them. It didn't even go 5 miles without overheating. She STILL drove it home. Car filling with white smoke coming through the vents. Apparently, the car has a blown head gasket.
Ordered replacement Prius door and outside rear view mirror. Staff was great to work with, and put mirror on the door panel for us which we weren’t expecting. Super reasonable prices. Sales staff Jodi was responsive, and had door ready for us to pick up. Would highly recommend!
North End has always has fair prices and deliver on a regular basis. I have never had a warranty issue that wasn't resolved ASAP and to my satisfaction. With used parts it's nearly impossible to not have an issue from time to time and they do a fantastic job ensuring quality prior to shipping so you aren't waiting for a junk part. I highly recommend them for your parts needs. Used has been better than a lot of the new stuff lately.

I've tried ordering parts from here twice. The first time I needed a new headlight assembly and they tried to give me a giant bulb and insisted it was what I needed, guess what, it wasn't. Most recently they ordered some new hinges for the hood of my truck. When I got there to pick them up they didn't look like I remembered mine looking. I looked up a photo of what I needed and I was right they ordered the wrong ones. I called them and told them and the lady asked if she could call me back after she figured out what happened. She never called. I went back after work and when I asked if they could make it right by overnighting the correct hinges to me I was told it was too late for that (if they would have called me back in a timely manner it wouldn't have been. I called around 1:30 on a Thursday and was there before 4 the same day) I'll just order off ebay in the future.

Wonderful group to work with. Reasonable prices and went above and beyond to help me. Staff is knowledgeable and customer service is great. They even met me after hours when I needed an alternator for my car and couldn't leave early. Absolutely great experience every time I have been there.
I am convinced that every review other than a 1 star is fake. Every single experience I have had with this place over the past 3 years has been horrible. I swear I’m on a prank show every time I call them, like there’s no way a lady this rude is running the counter. It’s actually embarrassing.
LESS THAN ONE STAR! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Drove over 3.5 hours ONE WAY to get part after I was told it would be ready! (Called 3 days ago) Part was not off and ready to go nor would they let me even go and inspect it. Office staff are RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and we will not bother with this place again!!!! BUYER BEWARE
Great inventory and amazing prices! Staff is the friendliest and so helpful. Called on a Thursday from Urbandale about fender - staff member was coming to Des Moines so personally delivered part to my house on Saturday! I will be calling them first for all my used car parts!
Way over priced on used parts and don't pay much for old cars. I'd rather scrap it then give to them at scrap price so they make all the money selling your parts. It's junk scrap.when you have it and it's gold if they have it. People have know personality when dealing with them. They act like your just wasting their time.
A great place to get parts, staff is friendly and if they got it they will get it. They have a new employee there, Duane; he is super outgoing and will get your parts for you quick and damage-free. It was a real pleasure to get parts and ride along with him I highly recommend this place for everyone who wants to get parts at cheaper than new price.
Bought an inner wheel fender for our Taurus here for $20. Online they're going for over $100! Wowzers! Worth the beautiful hour drive for us to go here instead

So here’s my experience; Walked into the place, asked the lady for a part. She walked over to the walkie talkie, asked for customer assistance. So in my mind, I thought “oh. Ok. Someone will come out in 5-10 minutes”. Nope! Stood there at the counter for a good 25-30 minutes. Nobody said a word to me as to what was going on. All of the employees sitting around just sat there and stared at me. No word if someone was coming or not. Not even a “you can take a seat and someone will be right with you”. So finally 25-30 minutes passed without another word said and i walked out. 3 people at the counter and 2 “mechanics” sitting behind me. 2 3 minute phone calls and that was that. Never ever again would i ever go there, not even if they had the last part i needed on earth. Completely rude and terrible customer service. Absolutely 0 stars.
Called North End this morning looking for a part. The female working the phone treated me like I was an idiot. Apparently when you call you have to have every detail and they can’t help you with anything inless you’re a car expert. I realize it’s auto salvage but customer service is still a huge deal!
Service is quick and professional. They people at the counter have extensive knowledge on parts. Inventory tracking is good as the part was found in the system within a few minutes. Parts are in the condition you would expect moderately used parts in. Problem: used parts I was after were 75-85% the cost of a new part with a warranty. I will definitely exhaust my options before returning here.
If your in a jam these the people that may have what you need in Dubuque. Prices are not competitive so if you can wait just order ner online its about the same price of their old parts.Bought a Hub here once did not come with abs sensor and thats the reason why I needed it. Never a pleasant or even okay trip to this place.
Junkyard business with junkyard customer service. I came in to ask about a rim. Not sure if the gentlemen at the front desk was on phone, so I quietly waited. After waiting politely, he finally said WHAT DO YOU NEED, then proceeded to rudely insult our intelligence. Their prices aren't worth interacting with them. Pass.
what a bunch of rip-off artists bought 2 used tires on 8-31-16 big hole in one.plus the guy who i described they say doesn't work there.would not take tires back.wrong size and big hole in it.Jodi the girl who answered phone said would not take them back after just picking them up under 1 hour before.with a receipt! would never go there again.heard stories about how people were not treated right at north end now after 16yrs of going there for used parts got to experience it first hand.buissness owner myself with over 30 yrs under my belt.never would treat a customer that way.big deal one customer right,but this one has a client base of thousands time to spread the word.bye bye north end never again!
I searched on their website for a specific part. Called ahead and confirmed they had it in stock. Went in later that day and met a rather rude employee. After explaining what I needed I waited 15 minutes for her to bring me a part that wasn't at all what I asked for. She was even ruder after I pointed this out and I had to wait a good 25 minutes until they got me the part I asked for originally. The part works and it was reasonably priced but honestly I'm going eBay next time. Customer service here is awful. Honestly just go to the advance auto parts which is near by or go online.
Customer service is horrible every time I've ever been here. One time I bought a part and ended up not needing it, they told me I couldn't return it. I offered to use the money I would have gotten back to buy a battery instead and they were even more rude. This is a place I will tell my friends to stay away from.
