Amazing food for lunch. The horseshoe. French toast, 2 beef patties (to order), French fries, (on top) Gravy on top of it all.. Best lunch I'd had inna long time.
Preface; food was fantastic, service was perfect, atmosphere was relaxing. It was a little chilly, but the doors were constantly opening and closing with customers coming in on an absolutely freezing and windy day, so not their fault.
My wife and I were having a particularly difficult day today and we stopped in here for an early breakfast. The server was a young lady and the cook was a sturdy guy; I hope to get their names in the future to edit this. They were both absolutely incredible, especially the young lady. She was on top of refills without being overbearing, she gave us juice for our baby, and she along with the cook served us a little bowl of mashed potatoes just for the baby. They were so kind, patient, and helpful and they will never know just how much they helped us and lifted our spirits today.
First time visit. Good wings. Sides were a little small. All the people in our party were very happy with their food. Will likely be back when in the area. I would recommend. ?

Great menu with a wide variety of options and a well appointed salad bar.... approximately 6 variety salads, 2 soups and plenty of fresh greens.
The fish, Cod, and chips were the best I have eaten in years. Come hungry! The size of the fillets were roughly 5" x 3" x 1" thick. Beer batter was perfect and the fish tender and flaky. Great cole slaw.
Excellent daily specials that ALL looked delicious and substantial, ribs, chicken, shrimp, burgers.... Servers were running hard, but kind and courteous all the way through the meal. Loved this dining experience and highly recommend to all.
Weekend full menus it good. I think I've had most of there options. Never disappointed
If you are traveling on hey 30 and Hungary I'm proud we have such a good place place for food and drink. If you like a great burger they have that too.
Had a family birthday dinner for my dad with 20 people at the RailYard last night. He got the steak and shrimp special and was impressed. They were very accommodating and the service was outstanding. The food is always terrific. Great job, RailYard crew, and thanks again!
Today food not so good. Advertised Special Tenderlion not so tender like chewing on a rubber band, Coke Zero flat and Slaw tasting a bit sour.

Ordered extra crispy naked wings with sauce on the side. Their first try they came out bartered. Sent them back and the next try came out almost raw and with sauce on the chicken. Wasn’t worth a third try. Assume no attention by the cooks. Bartender/waitress was very nice but it appears the cooks didn’t want to listen
We love the railyard! Nice, clean little place. Food has never disappointed. Daily specials are always a good choice, and the Ruben is a favorite. Highly recommend this amazing hidden gem!
Excellent small town restaurant- I always love the food here! The Railside burger is my favorite off a fun and interesting menu. Pleasant people and warm atmosphere.
Best burger I have had. The bartender actually told me about how he switched meats from the guy down the street to the guy down the street with better seasoning. Awesome
A great place to meet and eat in a group or solo. Friendly people to chat with, fantastic staff that make you feel like its home. Food that's worth every dollar spent!
Never have we had a bad experience here. Food is awesome. Service is exceptional. Environment is welcoming. The house chips are EXCELLENT. The new salad bar is amazing. It has fresh ingredients to make the tastiest salads, right down to the REAL bacon pieces. Trust me, you won't go wrong here. Oh, I forgot to mention, they have "Beer colder than my ex." ?
Deelicious!!! Great food, excellent service, nice atmosphere, and daily specials. Our bread stick appetizers were piping hot with a big bowl of marina. We ordered the enchilada Wednesday daily special for $10 and it was a huge plate with 4 beef enchiladas covered in cheese and salad. Picture below is of one enchilada, didn’t think to take photo until almost finished because we were starving and it hit the spot! The $4 margarita special was a steal, big glass, so tasty! We were driving through, never visited this restaurant before. It was a real treat.
The meal was well prepared and tasted good. The time between order and delivery was a little long however the food when served was freah and warm. The facility was clean and well kept. I'll definitely be back again. The garlic cheeseclballs were amazing!
Clean place, bartender came over to take order quickly. Ok wait time for food, group of 5 of us. Had lunch special steak and cheese sandwich. It was ok. Not bad, but not great either.
Great place to gather with friends!! Service is excellent and food is great! They even let me customize and out the Buffalo chicken dip on my burger!! So good!!
We’ve been here a couple times and it’s quickly becoming our “go to” place. We’ve always had great service! Feels like family for sure! The food- wow! So so good, we love the weekly specials & look forward to watching the Iowa Hawks there as well, great drink & food specials during games! A huge asset to a small community- great job all around! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ almost forgot if you like deep fried mushrooms- you’ve got to do yourself a huge favor and order them!! Delicious ?
There were 10 of us women golfers that stopped here today. That could have been a bit overwhelming for some places but our server handled it like a pro! Kudos! Food and all was good. Impressive!
Stopped here for the first time yesterday driving back to Clinton from Oxford Junction & we’re glad we did. The waitress was awesome & the food was excellent! The place was clean & inviting & the price was very reasonable. When you can get 2 drinks, 2 entrees & an appetizer for under $50 these days it’s a good deal. We will definitely be back next time through! ??
A quiet little resturant in lowden. Plenty of seating with a band thag plays in the evenings at least on this saturday. Had the special for the day a brisket sandwich whicb was topped with coleslaw and beans with a side order of chips. Very good i would order it again
I have been here a few times. it is located just a few hundred feet of of Hwy 30, so it is rather convenient if you're traveling by Lowden Iowa. The Rail yard is a nice size bar / restaurant, most but not all the food is fried in some way. They do have a BLT and Pizzas. They do have a small fee for using cards to pay, so I try to have cash when I go there. the eating area is very open and well lite with plenty of natural light coming through all the windows. There is a sand volley ball put out back along with outside seating.
Excellent place tocone and eat socialize and listen to live music.. the place has a decent amount of space for gatherings . Staff and owners were top tier service!
Great place with a welcoming atmosphere and fantastic food! The owners are also incredibly friendly and go out of their way to make sure the customers are happy. The wait staff is awesome too!
Oh my goodness!!! Our group had reservations for last night's valentines supper! Our waitress, makala maschman was the best!!! ♥️ The drinks were amazing and the food was done to perfection... off the chart AMAZING!! Very very well done and we definitely WILL return!!! Please keep doing dinners like this for other holidays as well!!!! Thank you for a great evening out!!!
We had a very enjoyable evening there the food was great I had the shrimp dinner and he had a steak sandwich with the homemade chips. Our waitress whose name I can't remember was terrific, overall episode wonderful experience. Thank You
Had lunch with a friend here. The atmosphere is nice and very clean (including bathrooms). Great service and food as well. Will recommend and I will be back. The lineman burger is definitely fit for a journeyman!!
