They've been in business for as long I've I've known and was a family run business when I was a kid, with the home place right next to the yard. They've always been friendly, have very reasonable prices and have had the parts I'm looking for most of the time and will check around for you or call you back if they didn't and if what you're looking for just happened to come in. A few yrs ago they were low on workers, with a few new boys still getting used to thing so there was a few miscommunications & slight delays getting a part pulled or hearing back,which may be why I see see some lower reviews posted from then, but that can happen anywhere if low staffed. I've never had a problem here & have been able to find parts for much older vehicles or BIG trucks, ones hard to find anymore without traveling a great distance. I'd do business with them anytime.
We came here for a tire and CJ & Chris gave us tips on how to fix our damaged fender. Gave us the tool to use. & we were able to open our door again! They were super friendly & upbeat w/ awesome positive, overcome anything, Git-Done Vibes! Helped us get our vehicle passenger/driver friendly again.. & we just went there for a tire and to order parts. I am extremely grateful and seriously impressed with CJ & Chris's service! Best Experience Ever!!
Do not go here. After being pointed in the complete wrong direction and an hour of searching, I finally found the part I was looking for. I walked back to the car to grab my tools but wanted to ask the price before I pulled it. The old lady behind the desk obviously has no idea how to treat people. Looked up, and it was twice the price as Frank's in Fort Dodge. I told her I'd just go there since I had to anyway. She got rude immediately, and I said okay what do you want for this other part that I had found searching? She said, "Nope." I asked her what she wanted, and she again said NOPE! I said so "I can't buy this?" Thus time she yelled nope! How rude did she have to be, wasted almost 2 hours of my day. I would suggest that if you wanted to be treated like you're a beaten dog, go give them your business.
Called in advance said they had my car, “you can come down and check out the place” or something along that line. Drove an hour to get there just to be told they don’t got anything like that and that they don’t let anyone back in the yard. 10/10 would not do again.
I ordered a transmission weeks ago. They took payment of over $1k almost immediately but I have yet to receive shipping info or even a purchase invoice. Every phone call I make I get a different person, allegedly who has no way to see any transaction/interaction the others have made. Doesn't seem like a legit system for a reputable business.
Currently caught in a loop of "I'll have Chris call you back". Definitely counts as fraud at this point.
I do not recommend dealing with these scammers; they are the biggest scammers in the state of Iowa. I called them in advance, and we agreed on a price, but our driver does not speak English, and they blatantly deceived him when he made the payment. I tried to pay online, but they refused. They saw that the driver was an immigrant and took advantage of it. It’s disgusting to deal with scammers…
Great place and very good people to do business with. I sort of wish they were closer to my business and I'd have more interaction with them.. their stock and massive yard is nothing short of amazing, and very nice people to deal with .. plus, if you need parts for a Ford Escape, Brad pronounces it 'Èhscahpay..' which is great fun.. lol thx guys
Attempted to purchase a wheel. Called several times. Gave them all my info. They promised they would call me back. Never did. Called again. Same thing. Why they are in business is beyond me. They have no interest in selling parts. Called Carney's in Ames they had the part I needed and I picked it up the next day.
Called on a Thursday guy says he will look for the part and call me back by next i was still waiting I call
Back to see how it’s going a different guy answers the phone and says they are not sure if they even sell those parts or not lol not sure why it was nothing special anyway they Wasted 5 days of my time and never did help me this happened more then once
I ORDERED AN ENGINE DELIVERED, THEY TOOK MY CREDIT CARD AND RAN IT. NEVER SENT ENGINE, 4 CALLS AND 4 WEEKS LATER NO ENGINE. DONT WAIST YOUR TIME. STILL WORKING ON CREDIT
DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME!! Wish i could give 0 stars!! 1st call for part I need they said they had it. 2nd call they said vehicle was buried in the snow (understandable), but was told they would call me when they can get to it. I told them I would check back at end of week if I didn't hear from them. 3rd call in middle of week about a different part from same vehicle, was laughed at, then told they don't do that. 4th call on Friday cause I hadn't heard from them, and they told me they crushed that car it was gone. I asked why they didn't call me when they got it out of snow like she said she would, and she said "oh it wasn't in the snow". What the heck? If you don't wanna sell parts then don't waste my time. Instead they just lie to people and brush it off. Horrible people & business!!!!
Called twice about the same part and they acted like theyve never heard from me even after they were suspost to pull the part i needed 2 days ago.. I called them back an asked if it was off yet cause i needed it a day ago an the guys said it wasnt his problem. Will never call them again
