As a Truck driver this is the best kind of place. There is a lounge with restrooms on the property and vending machine. Allow overnight parking for approximately 6 trucks. Plan accordingly. Great experience.
You need delivery number before anything it should start with 19 or 18_____ 6 digit. They have multiple locations make sure you confirm from dispatch ignore what paperwork says
A superb facility to deliver to. They have a lounge with coffee and fountain drinks for free. Or food with scan and pay checkout. All employees were very thorough and professional and explanation and representation.
All guys is very good but one lady in guard shack office is to much attitude, she is no recpct driver, bad behavior, she is working July 12 , 2024 , 1.15 pm , I’m never come here ?
Was a bit confusing at first they don't have any kind of directions marked out for drivers. I'd imagine though most times when somebody shows up they'd already be another trailer there so it would be self-explanatory but if it's empty back your rig up where you see the orange barricades then proceed to the office.
A very nice lady will get you checked in have you scale in and proceed to the dock when ready.
Totally subjective I know but for me it was a very straightforward and easy process with really no waits. Except for one snafu and really I should have mentioned this to the dock workers who were also very friendly. This was my first of two drops of scrap from the shipper. It wasn't loaded with a clear demarcation point nor did I think to mention that there was more on there besides what they were getting. So they took it all ? which I discovered after I had pulled out to close my doors. I explained the situation, they were apologetic. Seems like a good group of guys there and they got me reloaded for my next stop really quick. I felt kind of bad because afterwards I thought maybe I should have mentioned that because I know there can be a disconnect between the office and the dock guys but it was resolved in about 20 minutes. The nice young lady at the front checked me out and down the road I went.
Helped a buddy scrap his old van,very entertaining to watch off load! Business has site for can and other metal drop off. Was a slow process but worth the drive
Metal recycling plant. Truckers sometimes have to wait to get into a dock even when it’s not busy. But, you’ve got to have the right ship numbers to begin with! ?

Make sure check your weight on their scale because some times they load overweight.
That time we waste our ELD drive time.

This review is not for the business side of Metal Source, but provided as a quirky destination if you ever pass through Wabash, Indiana. There are metal movie replicas to see...get out and take a photo with them. Bumblebee is at a different Metal Source location on Mill Street in Wabash.
There is also a Metal Source in Peru, Indiana, with a very large all-gray transformer on a cement base.

They end up sending you to 1750 Mill St to pick up. On the way there it says no trucks go that way anyway. It's the easiest. So follow the directions they give you.They have lots of room there to back into dock. The people ate friendly and they load you fast. They loader I had knew what he was doing. They weight evens out correctly.
Awesome location, lots of services available... With plenty of room, equipment, and employees to keep everything moving and running people through in a timely fashion and efficiently!
