My husband came in today to buy a spare tire for his car. He paid the 2 dollar entry fee with a $20, and they only handed him $10 back. Extremely scummy. We will not be coming back and I will leave my 1 star review up until this is resolved.
This place is definitely a huge scrap yard. The ONLY thing is and that I dislike about it, is there is no actual inventory rows, no way to actually know where your vehicle is that your there to find. So it's really a needle in a very large haystack. I searched and searched for about 3 hours only to later find out the vehicle I was there for was no longer actually there but in the system it showed as at location.
I come here frequently for parts for my high mileage machine. Friendly staff, good prices. Only gripe is their parts wagons are shrinking in numbers, and I hear it isn't just the customers to blame there. Still, worth it.
Friendly atmosphere but would be nice if they get insurance back so can sell tires again cause sometimes that's the only place you mite find your size tire but good place to find parts
Called this place and asked about a part they said they had it. I asked them if they were sure they had it. They said yes I drove two hours and the part was not there.
Staff were friendly and gave me a rough idea of where my make/model would be on the lot. Place is pretty big and not overly picked. Found the truck, had a tailgate, took it home. Prices are fair, cheaper than what anyone was asking on marketplace/online.
The lack of communication at this place is extremely frustrating. Called 5/12/25 to see about having my car picked up and scrapped. Was told they could either pick up the 13th or the 14th; I opted to have it collected on the 13th. I was told there were two people ahead of me and they weren’t sure of an exact time when it would be picked up. No problem, I kept my day open. 1:45 on the 13th rolls around and I still haven’t gotten a call so I follow up. I find out that they have written my number down incorrectly so when they were trying to pick my car up they weren’t even contacting the right number. The tow truck driver asks me a good time to call me back again and I tell him 3:30. I even verified that my number was correct. It is currently 4:03pm and I still have yet to hear from anyone about my car being picked up. You can’t expect people to keep their ENTIRE day available. I should’ve been a priority the moment you found out that you took my number down incorrectly. The staff are very polite but my time is just as valuable as yours. The expectation to have someone wait until 11:59pm for a same day pick up is absolutely laughable.
Simple salvage yard. Bring your tools and I would recommend a flat bed wagon from Harbor Freight over the wheel barrows you can barrow there (but to each their own).
Love this place, you can never go wrong with a little bit of parts therapy. Everyone that works there is always amazing, even when you keep them past closing cause you didnt hear the closing announcements. But besides that they have what you need for ridiculous prices plus you get to go on a treasure hunt for free!! Hope they never close!
Tried to find a part guy said cans are in the back so I had to walk all the way to the back and looked at every vehicle that could replace my part and found nothing took me an hour for nothing
Nothing really bad to say as of now. The yard fee is now $2 not $1 like in the pics. Huge selection of Domestic made vehicles with only about a third of the yard dedicated to Imports. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful and was able to provide a bit of the info I was seeking. If you are in need of used parts, check these folks out first and grab your tools! Otherwise, I think the Glisson's on First Ave would be the place if you wanted the parts already pulled.
Best place to get parts ya need could be hard to find or trying to save money. Polite staff always helpful and honest. Huge selection of cars trucks Suvs too choose from.
Love the place. I travel from Carmi Illinois atleast once a month to go to glissons u pull. If I lived in Evansville I would go there everyday if I was able to. Great staff.

I have a lifetime of memories and this place was there for a lot of them. I used to go here with my dad (RIP) and now I come here with my amazing husband and we have fun here. It's exciting like an Easter egg hunt lol
They have really cleaned up the you pull it junkyard with tons of gravel & new wheel barrows. Plan on lots of walking as it's a large area. They don't have a computer vehicle search so be prepared to walk. No rental scooters here if your need one like Indy had. Nice people running yard . Good prices too.
Always decent prices and pretty clean yard for being a junk yard. You can save a lot by pulling your own parts from here. Ran by the same family for many years now. I'll keep coming back.
Love this place because I have old cars that need parts. But they need to put closed for remodeling so people know not to drive along way to get there.
Drove two hours to get parts for my 2001 ford expedition. Couldn't find any with a good back window and ran out of time looking for one, only to see one up front ready to be processed and couldn't get the back window or windowmoter or roter cause it was too late and the guy was gone so couldn't be helped. Four houres of gas and time running wasted. Not cool.
They let me in and explained their policies (which really amounts to "don't hurt yourself). I paid practically nothing for the parts that I pulled. Very kind service staff.
If you wanna pay 10 to 20 cents on the dollar for good car parts, go here, bring your tools, and pull the part yourself. This place is a treasure trove. I just bought a door actuator for $5, a trailer hitch receiver for $15, a master cylinder for $7.50, etc. The only item I ever thought was expensive was a complete power mirror system (mirrors and control) for $45. But compare that to what you'd pay at a stealership and get back to me. I installed it in their parking lot in ten minutes and had factory power mirrors on my 2003 Toyota Matrix.
This is a fantastic pull-a-part yard. The guys are friendly and helpful. Get out there and save some money.
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! Called ahead of time (live an hour in a half away) told me several times they had a few of the year and model for a part I needed. Get there, go all the way out the way in the yard looking for the right trucks, find nothing even close. Ask the guy again and he looked up the wrong make, after repeating myself multiple times!! Was extremely rude about it! Extremely unorganized and unorofessional!!!!
So far everything I've purchased from Glissons has worked and I have had no issues
Reasonable pricing and the staff is very helpful. I'll be returning for more parts today and definitely would recommend this place to others
