Took my newly acquired 1997 F-250 7.3 diesel in for transmission repair. They looked at it and said I could rebuild it or just replace the torque converter and re-seal it. I took the latter option. Great service and repair. Happy with the price. Tom was particularly helpful keeping me informed and updated on the process as it went along. Nothing but good things to say!
After a quick check of my car, a detailed report complete with pictures was texted to me. It included items that were recommended to be completed now, and possibly in the future, and a price to complete the service. From there, I could approve or decline the recommendation. Nice and easy. Also, they have great customer service and were very nice to deal with. I highly recommend!

I went in for an oil change. As usual, the staff was friendly. I chose to wait in their waiting room with free wifi. After the work was done, I was able to speak to the mechanic about the free inspection on my vehicle, which was also very helpful.
I've been going there for years and will continue to do so.

Hi, I'm very patient. The first time we took one of our cars, it took three weeks longer than expected. However, we had to return it two or three more times, but I didn't mind.
When I took the other car (Kia Soul), it was the same, longer than expected. Still, I held on. After those repairs, when I tried to use the windshield wipers, they were contaminated with oil. I couldn't make it the next day. I work Monday through Friday.
When I was able to take it, they told me it wasn't you, that they didn't know how the oil got into the windshield wiper reservoir (they're the only ones I've taken my car to). So they charged me over $500, and having a leaking windshield wiper reservoir is a bit expensive.
They have very good reviews, which is why I took my first car, and everything went well. But what about the rest?
They were upfront and honest about the cost of rebuilding my transmission on site vs replacing with a remanufactured unit and that the reman unit actually had a better warranty than they offered on their work. It only took them a day or two to get the new transmission installed and everything closed up once they received it.
I have found Guaranteed Automotive and Transmission to be a very thorough and trustworthy mechanic service. While I personally never met them or stepped into their shop they have taken care of my daughter’s car several times over the past few years. Considering I live in NJ and she is a Purdue student it is truly a piece of mind to have them when needed. It is very easy to make an appointment and they are great at keeping you updated on the repair.
Cougar is running great. No leaks. Drivers door repaired yesterday at Dennys. It's perfect ! Thank you for all your hard work and patience with us. Will be bringing our other vehicles out to you for routine and maintenance.
First time here and I can't complain about my experience. They were friendly and very informative about what my car got done and also included an inspection with photos and details about possible issues on my vehicle. Highly recommend this place!
What a great place to get work done. It is so nice not seeing all the lights lit up on dash. They sure know what they are doing. My car will always go there now. Very nice people to do business with.
Tom was excellent to work with. He was kind gracious and patient. I live in Illinois, but the car I own broke down minutes away from the business. Once the car was towed to Guaranteed Automotive and Transmission, Tom and I communicated by phone and text. The diagnosis was poor, but Tom delivered the news to me gently. I needed to find a seller and have the car removed from the lot. This was a new challenge for me and I had to manage it while working and living three hours away. I was transparent with Tom on the progress I was making and my intent to have the car removed as soon as possible. He patiently worked with me. I am so appreciative for his kind attitude that made this situation less stressful. Tom was true to his word with the cost of things. He was prompt to respond to all my questions and he was just SO STINKING NICE!!!!

On a recent trip from Florida to Wisconsin, unfortunately our car broke down on I 65, between Indianapolis and Lafayette. Needless to say when an issue like this occurs you face so many unknowns. My wife and I felt truly blessed that we called Guaranteed Automotive. After talking with Joe, we felt comfortable that his business and reliable and would make necessary diagnosis and repair at a fair price.
While issues were significant, and a bit more challenging, Joe and his team honored his quote. After repair, they ran quality checks, and even had a technician come in early on the day of pick up to help assure, that I could get back on the road.

My Transit Connect drives like new!
I brought my 2013 Transit Connect in for a full transmission fluid and filter service. During the test drive, the mechanic identified a motor mount issue. After the transmission service and motor mount repair, the difference is night and day.
I honestly felt like I had just pulled it off the new car lot, despite its age.
The mechanic handled the work professionally and thoroughly. It’s rare to find mechanics who will actually explain what they’re doing and do it right the first time. If you’re having transmission hesitation or feel like your old van is giving up on you—don’t wait. The fix may be simpler than you think.

I rarely give reviews but I am so upset I feel I have to. I took my car in on Monday for air conditioning repairs. On Tuesday evening they call and say they figured the problem out and gave me the estimate then proceeded to say now the other issue with your car. Which confused me because I had no other issue. He proceeded to tell me my car had been wrecked. Now accidents happen and they are fixing it my issue is they are acting like it’s no big deal. One making a comment oh your car is the one that was tapped. It was not just tapped!! Plus I was told one story and my husband another. Like I said accidents happen but this has left us down a car. I work 2 jobs my husband works so we have had to take time off and adjust schedules going in late or leaving early to share a car. They never even offered a rental but made sure to send their bill even though I don’t have my car. I was ok with the accident even though my car has never been in one but the lack of caring and acting like it is no big deal bothers me.
I highly recommend Guaranteed Automotive &Transmission Service! I was treated wonderfully! The issue with my car was actually a windshield leak and not mechanical, they took the extra step to find the problem! The customer service is remarkable! I was given a ride home while they inspected my car and picked up when it was ready. The gentleman that was the driver was extremely kind! Recommend things to do in the area since I am new to the area! This will be the only service center I take my vehicle to for any repairs! Thank you all for the great experience!
They certainly deserve more than 5 stars. We're from out of state and literally just passing through Indiana. It's never great to break down in a different state, especially far from home and our destination. But we couldn't be more grateful to have broken down 3 miles away from this shop. They were truly fantastic and went above and beyond to help us out. They tripled checked everything before allowing us back on the road, since we still had 6 hours to go. They knew we were on a time crunch with trying to make it in time for an immediate family member's funeral, so one of the amazing workers personally drove out of his day and the shops hours to grab the only part we needed. They even recommended hotel rooms and drove us there and back. Saved us from the extreme heat wave. Truly grateful for them all!
I called for an appointment and they scheduled next day. They checked my vehicle and gave me a fair quote for back brakes. I waited in the waiting room and the service was quick. Very friendly staff and will definitely return.

A real but positive review! Overall, a good experience. I was heard. Details were explained. Questions were answered. Knowledge, patience, and kindness were apparent. The Context: Post cross-country move from long-term home, still dealing with new "everything" on a temporarily much reduced income and budget. Now my 13-year-old Fiat manual transmission car needs help (clutch release bearing and clutch replacement plus transission-related leak). The assessed cost was more than anticipated/hoped for, the warranty terms were shorter than what I had previously experienced, and the consumer protection laws here are different. Plus, I am needing to trust my vehicle to not-yet-known repair experts. Add in a road trip to my mom's 86th birthday that I will now need to make without my car. A potentially stressful circumstance handled well by Joe and GAT.
Fortunately Joe at Guaranteed Automotive and Transmission (GAT) got the situation and got me. He answered my many questions and addressed my concerns with knowledge, patience and kindness. He looked for any way he could ethically save me money. GAT provided pictures with their detailed inspection and an itemized cost assessment. (I appreciate evidence.) So far, my car is again shifting smoothly which feels great. I know that if anything seems wrong GAT will handle it and stand by their work. After many years of dealing with the same repair experts, I can be understandably slow to trust new, unknown vendors. The service, responsiveness, and respect provided by Joe and GAT went a long way in building a solid foundation. I would again trust my vehicle to GAT. Thank you Joe, Tom, and all at GAT!
Integrity and Customer service are HUGE with me. If I could give 10 stars out of 5, I would. Tom walked me through everything, and treated my like he would his own daughter. They got me in the same week, and the guys took STELLAR care of my car at a fraction of what the dealership was going to charge me. I'm telling all my friends. These guys will do the right thing by you.
