They were nice, but right away they overcharged me, they stole my ball and hitch from the back of my truck. There were a lot of salvageable parts, but I could not afford to pay their bill. I did not choose to have them tow, but would not have chose them.
If I could give this place a ZERO that's what I would be. My mother had her car stolen Sunday (Mother's Day mind you), police report was made, cops used this piss poor company to have her car towed before our knowledge of it being found. We call to find out about picking it up, and that's when they told us about the damage. They told me it was totaled and that my mom could get her purse out with proof of ownership. My disabled mother drives there from Plymouth to Mishawaka to get her purse just to find out she would have to pay $430 to get anything out of it. $430 for it being there overnight. This is a STOLEN car. None of my mom's fault. My mom is disabled and on fixed income. These people wanted my mother to pay $430 to just be able to grab her purse, and handicap sign, for something that happened that was out of her hands. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone, ever! The employees have no idea what their doing.
VERY poor service. Idk if the guy has a personality disorder or what, but he was NOT friendly. He didn’t wanna help me. I came back with the stuff he said I needed to produce, which he wasn’t happy about; and he still didn’t wanna help me. I said I just wanted to see my car, but then he said it’s NOT my car cuz my name isn’t on the registration. (It was my uncle’s name.) I explained that the police asked for my license, registration, and insurance at the scene of the accident, and they had my car towed there. He said, “And now it’s my responsibility.” I said, “I’ll see what the police say.” Don’t let your vehicle get towed by this A-hole’s company!
If there is any way at all you can avoid using this company, do whatever it takes. It was quite possibly one of my worst experiences in my life. The guy who runs it is a horrible human being. He does not tell you what you need in order to get your stuff from your car and then acts like you should just know it when you arrive... even on your second trip. In addition, he wants to do the absolute bare minimum and refuses to work a second past 5. The only way this place is still in business is because the police departments call them for a tow. PLEASE, save yourself from having one of the worst days of your life and find some place else.
DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! They towed my car Friday morning, didn't inform me that they would close at 5 and not open again until Monday. So my car was stuck in their lot over the weekend and they charged me for every day it was there even though they were closed. Over the weekend we tried to call for more information and the man who answered said "I don't even work here, I just answer the phones on weekends". They charged us for an oil and clean up fee when nothing has leaked from my car, and my husband picked up all the debris before we left. Very rude, very unfriendly people. They didn't care about me or my car, only how much they could scam off of us!
There is another review on this page about their prices and inexplicable fees. They did the exact same thing to us!
I called Toot'n Tellem when my car broke down and they arrived in 30 minutes. I received a quote while on the phone. They took great care with my beloved car. I even noticed how he made certain not to slam my doors and how he double checked that everything was connected properly. He was very quick and professional. While it is my hope to never have to call them again, if I do find myself in need of towing services I will not hesitate to call on Toot'n Tellem.
They fixed my fiancee's car super fast. Not too pricey either. Definitely would recommend this place well Jaccar that is right next door fixed it but toot n tellem is a great tow company
Very rude owner. Very unprofessional. Sold me an alternator that was going out and making a very loud noise. Hung up on me when I called and I was not being rude at all. Would not take the part back and the alternator went out shortly after. Sad part is my 17 year old daughter paid for this with her own money for her car and took a loss.
Crooks. Unethical business practice. This Is why mishawaka is a trash town because trash people like this rip off the poor and steal from hard working people. Drug addicts who take the meds you are prescribed out of your car. I ask God in prayer to do something about them.
Driver was a jerk.
I was in an accident, I found a mechanic, the tow truck arrived, and I told them the address. The driver said, "that's not a body shop." Before I have a chance to do anything else he's on me like a trapped witness, and raising his voice "Where am I taking [the car], I need to know?!" I'm not from this area, and I don't really have an answer... because I don't know anywhere. I pulled a random place off of Google maps and gave him that.
After moving the car so he can tow it, he gets out, gves me a dirty look after checking the damage, scoffs "that's drivable," and walks away. Thanks?
For context is had snowed six inches the night before, so he was probably swamped with cars but he could have a bit more patient.
Car was towed here from 2 blocks away. Charged well over $200 to get it out a few hours later. No excuse. How can you justify your fee for a 2 block tow and dropping it in your dirt lot like a junk yard. Come on now guys.
To be honest I have never used them myself and I don't know about them but from when I was a child and my stepdad worked there they used to let me play in the front office all day long good people from what I remember not too happy they have my moped though that was a dirty move I just needed two days
They were very friendly and helpful. They were reasonably priced. They answered all my questions. Additionally they were accommodating about pulling the piece and when I could pick it up.
My wife gets in an accident and this company is already on scene towing the car. Towing guy gives no prices and barely even says where he is taking it. Thankfully I saw the side of his truck. Turns out its $100 to tow, $25 for him to shovel up a tiny bit of stuff on the ground, $50 to send out some government required "letter", and $25 a day for sitting on their lot. Icing on the cake was they charge for weekends when closed and business days when closed from weather. So I payed $100 there with no option not to.
Worst towing company. Avoid at all costs.Outrageous charges, ridiculous storage fees and a $50 administrative fee that they couldn't explain, other than, "that's what everyone else charges."
