This was the first time I was here or even at a recycler. Everyone was professional. While my items were being weighed it was interesting to watch the rest of the operation.
If you need a vehicle flat beded to the junk yard Metro Auto Recyclers is the place to call. They kept me up to date on there ETA and they gave me a fair price for my truck. They also picked it up the same day I called. I would highly recommend there services.
My ex purchased a motor for one of our cars at his shop. It was a 2012 bmw 528xi drive engine. Chris Caldwell is who he dealt with. My husband wanted a lower mileage engine as we planned on keeping that car for some time. Chris tells him he doesn’t know the mileage on a motor he would sell us but the car was running 100% fine and dandy prior to it coming to them. My ex husband looked up the VIN provided for that motor and it was in the less than 60k miles region.. fast forward the techs install it at his shop and the engine had a blown head gasket and would overheat immediately within minutes of driving and the motor had been knocking immediately. My ex husband calls them back as he had parts and labor warranty on it, but Chris says if you want a motor with about the same mileage or a little less “you’re looking at an additional 1k charge for part, we’ll cover the labor, our less your win brother” which is obvious BS and a sales tactic.
The “better” motor was also trash. My ex husband could have dealt with LKQ which he’s bought more than 18 engines since, much more reliable and straight at LKQ. My ex husband says if you want a motor and no BS/small business sales tricks, stay away from them.

Made great money but nobody there could tell me beforehand what I would get?? Have to call ahead I guess. The staff would get a 1 star rating but the money was good so it's in between I'll go a 4
Terrible customer service. I explained to mike what I needed when he answered the phone and he kept asking me again to repeat what I needed. I asked him to write it down so I didn't have to keep repeating it he rudely said you might have to repeat it 3 or 4 more times if we keep going like this. Really
Great service, they had the part I needed on the shelf in the warehouse. It was clean and in excellent condition and was an exact fit and finish as the original. I installed it and it worked perfectly. I say eat last $80 buying used instead of new.
Done business for years,never again had a warranty claim, keep in mind i paid for this and did not get paid for extra work that needed to be done..nor do you get your money in 30 days there policy needs adjusted.be doing business elsewhere, was shoted 500 labor to clean radiator,heater core,,,air box not paid for oil change,,,anti freeze, or air filter dont buy warranty shop lkq ,,unfortunately I will miss my salesman
Don't waste your time with this place. They will cheat you out of every penny they can. Used to be my favorite until a former employee told me how they scam customers. I seen it first hand
