This review is in my husband's name but it was Bobbi Johnson. I stopped and got an estimate and got worked in a few days later. Dropped my jeep off on Thursday around 4:30. My appointment was Friday at 8am. Everything done before lunch. Jeep is running good.
Stopped in to see if they had time to determine what was wrong with my car. I was provided with immediate, courteous service and was soon on my way. I greatly appreciate the care and expert service received.
Sandusky’s is hands down the best. They, everyone, go above and beyond. Everyone there makes it the best possible experience. I will go to them first every time!

I was traveling through the Rockville area from southern Indiana, when I experienced a problem with my car. The first place I stopped wasn’t interested in helping me, but thankfully they told me Sandusky Auto Repair might be able to help. It was 5:05pm and they close at 5pm, but I tried calling them. Unbelievably, they answered the phone and gave me directions to their shop. They were able to fix the issue in about 15 minutes. I could tell right away they were competent, skilled, upstanding people. What happened next completely amazed me-they said there was no charge! What great, kind people!
Brought my car in for a diagnosis. Paid $100 for them to tell me what I already know. AND.. they didn’t even check the whole car… I was missing an air filter (I knew about it) yet when my car was returned, they never brought that up. I also had a busted water pump. They didn’t bring that up either. I told them what was happening with the car when I left it in their hands, just for them to tell me what I told them when I dropped the car off… waste of a $100 DO NOT come here. Overpriced and uneducated mechanics.
We were on our way to Turkey Run when our car broke down. The tow company brought our car to Sandusky. People there were very kind and communicative. Appreciated their honesty and hard work to get our car working again. Jim even stayed late so we could travel the 3 hours to come get the car when it was finished.
I had a negative experience with the big name dealership in town so I took my vehicle to Sandusky for repairs. I'm so glad I did. They are quick, very knowledgeable, more budget friendly and the customer service is above and beyond. I won't go anywhere else and I'm always recommending them to anyone and everyone

I had to change my review due to car being smoked in while it was getting a repair. They do good work and was more than willing to treat me right when a mistake was made, but to smoke in my car is so disrespectful. So if you are alright with people smoking in your car this place is great.
Again they do great work and will treat you right.

Sandusky's Repair is so great. I have never had a problem getting my vehicles into get them repaired. I had to get my tie rod replaced on my car and they got it done before lunch. They also fixed my van's exhaust and didn't charge an arm and a leg for the fix. I moved into the area in early 2021 and was worried about finding a good shop. My worries are over now that I go to Sandusky Repair.
I took my jeep there for repair came in under estimate and they did a great job. Will be returning soon with my truck. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a great mechanic. Thanks guys

We were in town from Michigan and our water pump blew up. These folks not only had the best pricing to offer, but their price estimate was 100% on point.
They were kind enough to make room in their busy docket for our emergency, and got us back on the road with minimum loss of time. They even came to pick us up from the motel and spared us a long walk in the summer heat! They were honest, direct, compassionate and helpful.
100% would recommend, especially for out-of-towners like us.

I broke down in Rockville 3hrs from home. Those guys could have gouged me knowing I was stuck. They got me in and out in the same day. The price was fair and in between the 2 local shops I called when I got back to Louisville. I wanted to write a glowing review there in their waiting room, but to be fair I wanted to drive it first. My truck ride as smooth as it did when I first got it 70k miles ago. Great place with great honest people. I’ll always remember them keeping me and my son from being stranded so far from home. If I’m ever remotely close and in need of repairs in the future they will be my first choice. My prayers were answered. Thank you fine folks
I needed an estimate on my car for repairs. They got me an appointment within a couple days, the technician was very friendly and thorough on my car to find issue. They never tried to sell me something I didn't need or try to mislead me like other places have done before. They will definitely get my business next time I need repairs!
So my car wouldn't start, had to have it towed to Sandusky's on a Tuesday. I got it back on Thursday. I drove to Terre Haute and all over the place during the weekend and drove to work on Monday. It was dead when I left at 2pm. I called Sandusky's back and they came and picked it up. The next day they figured out it needed a new battery. They are so awesome! They charged me for a new battery (lower than O'REILLY'S) and did not charge me a service charge! Thank you Sandusky's!
These guys are phenomenal. End of day Friday, my car needed a new alternator. After they figured out the problem, they offered to put it in right away. Not only did they get the alternator delivered in 4 minutes, the owner had it changed in 30 minutes! Plus, he was fair in his pricing! Wonderful meeting and dealing with a straight forward businessman in this world. They have my future business for sure!
Our water pump went out while out in the Rockville area. A very helpful lady stopped and gave us water and refered us to Sandusky Auto Repair. I placed a call at 4:45 and Cullen said he would wait for us. He not only stayed late but took us to our motel and did the repair in the morning.
There are good people out there. We highly recommend this business.
Took my care in a week ago for brake issues. 3 days later I picked my car up and the next day I had issues again. I took it back to the shop and hours later I went back to check on the progress. Both the mechanics said they drove the car around town with no issues.i took the car back home and the next day I broke down in front of a client's house. It sat there all weekend. I was able to limp the car back to the shop just to find out that no mechanics would be in today and they don't know when they will be back to work. So I limped the car to another shop. It cost me $750 for two parts and many days of work and I still don't have a car. Feel free to take your vehicle there. Just remember to ask if they have a mechanic first!
Sandusky was great to work with. Our Buick Lucerne died during a day trip to Rockville. They had it towed to their shop and got us an estimate on what needed to be done (blown fuse box under the rear seat). We had to leave the car overnight while they got us a new fuse box. Towing and repair charges were reasonable and people were friendly, I would definitely recommend this shop. GM design engineers -- why would you put a fuse box under a seat and not ensure that it is protected from the wear/tear of a passenger bouncing on top of it?
