I have given them chances to show they are good. The staff is friendly to deal with (which is why 2 stars and not 1) but the pricing is rather ridiculous. 4 out of 5 last inquiries I could purchase new about the same price or cheaper. Have also had them say nice part on phone, but when I arrive it is worse than the one I am replacing. I had hopes they were a good place to shop, I guess I was wrong. There are others out there that are easier and more affordable to deal with.
I was looking for a small discontinued part from Ford. These guys were excellent to deal with, helped me find this small part when most other yards wouldnt deal with it, and shipped it at a very reasonable price. I wouldnt hesitate to call If they have a vehicle you need parts from
CLOSED TO PUBLIC!!
They don't have a fence, and have no security, and started having thefts. Their idea to fix this problem is to close off yard to the public. Now you have no idea what is actually out there condition wise, and have to sit around and wait while they pull parts for you. Go to Paul's.
The junkyards around Indy rarely have any old 7.3 parts. Mecca usually does. The lobby is clean, the yard looks well organized, and the best part is they actually call you back when they have to go look for a part to make sure it’s still there. Very rarely do the yards closer to Indy call you back when they have to go put eyes on a part. It’s always a pleasant experience and a great price whenever I need to call Mecca
Sold some parts off of our old truck. Everyone in there was super friendly. The prices are fair. It was very clean for a salvage yard/auto parts place. Definitely would go back to them first if I needed services of that type!
Even though it was a two hour drive, it saved me $1200 on a part I needed for my car. They were super easy to deal with. Fast and efficient and friendly. I hope I don't need them again but would use them again without question.
Always friendly staff, with today being no different in that regard.
My one complaint: Either update your Hours of Operation or Stick to those you give.
The process of business operations for opening and closing, ought to be conducted outside of business hours, and not for the customer to be expected to conform to.
If the crew must clock out before the top of the hour and machinery shut down prior to that, and so making it impossible to conduct business once this has begun, then adjust your Hours accordingly.(12:45, not 1:00.) At the same time, mention online that recycled materials need to arrive no later than 30min before Closing Time, if this is the case.
I promise, the transparency will be welcomed. I know my weekend would have improved 10x had it been there today.
...Nothing like verifying open hours, loading several smelly bags in my suv (under the sun) and driving 15miles (one way) - just to be turned away.
This is despite arriving At Least 10 min before you claim to close and then being asked to move so they could help another customer.

If I could give start , I would.. called this place for a part for a 2010 terrain that been giving me a fit.. I was given a great price for the part.. they shipped it to indpls at a fair price.. Great service and it didn't take long for them to find what I needed. Paid over the phone and it was waiting for me when I got there. Would drive 1hour and a half again for more parts.
I called two weeks ago and asked about a temperature control knob that goes on the dash of a 1995 dodge pickup. I was told $5 plus sales tax for the knob. Today after we drove down there they told us you have to buy the whole control module for $35 and would not sell just the plastic control knob. For folks who advertise they have parts for just about anything seems they want to inflate the price and charge more then just selling a knob. Wow what a way to do business! You all need to just go to a dealer first and don't even bother with trying to get used truck parts from Mecca Auto Salvage!!!!!!
They need learn the difference between dirty and clean extrusion .second time I got screwed on my aluminum. Always feel like I am being rushed to unload .... and don't get my money worth
Bought a fuel pump, installed it, confirmed it was bad. So I took it back and they gave me CASH back. Most yards fights returns and gives credit. Also there not really rude like most junk yard workers.
