It so beautiful inside out! Words can't describe this. The atmosphere were good. People are so friendly. It made me feel like I'm on a cruise, sailing to no where. It's just amazing.

Seems like a nice place, but very underwhelming, and rife with that pervasive and nauseating sense of Hoosier entitlement. Follow through on customer service is quite poor. I wasted a birthday here, and you would think that with as much as everything costs that the quality and service would be better. Alas, that is not the case. If they provide a poor experience, expect to receive nothing more than nice cheap placating words. No effort or resources will be expended to fix their mistakes. Save your time and money and go somewhere that gives a damn.

Stayed here for Valentine's weekend and it was great. The room was very nice, and the balcony view into the atrium was a very cool feature. The staff was friendly, the food was great, and the spa was amazing!

The West Baden Springs hotel is a must-see. The rooms are a bi pricy but worth it if you can afford it. If you can't stay, just visit the hotel with it's incredible atrium. There is plenty to do in the summertime too, like horseback riding and a train ride. It is amazing that this place was built at the turn of the 20th century. Absolutely incredible engineering!

I love the history of the area and make it a point to explore the hotel when we visit. We just happened to be here for the week when West Baden had a soft opening for the newly renovated bowling and billiards Pavillion on the grounds.Very nice facilities that visitors as well as general townspeople will enjoy for years to come.

Wonderful rooms and interesting hotel and grounds, check in service was slow, check out was painless and quick. Went for an early dinner at Ballards in the Atrium, hostess was disinterested and dispite half the tables being empty she still wanted us to wait an hour for service. Left the grounds and found dinner elseware. Great place to visit once for a night, not sure it's a full weekend experience.

This was an amazing experience. From the moment we pulled up to the moment our bags were loaded into the car the service here was phenomenal. The building and grounds are beautiful. The rooms were comfortable. Can't say enough about how great this stay was.

I went to explore the amazing architecture inside the hotel. The giant dome is very unique, and your are able to dine inside the dome or just relax in the many lounge chairs around the dome space. All the hotel rooms face the inside of the dome and creates a wonderful view from your balcony into the atrium.

A must visit during the Christmas season. We love this historic and beautiful hotel year round. In warmer months, the gardens, tour, and walkability to town make it a favorite. At Christmas it is just beautiful with the large tree, light show, live music, and fine dining.

Update 12/20/25: day trip to West Baden to see the Christmas lights. Beautiful! There were carolers, a huge Christmas tree in the center and decorations everywhere. It was crowded and the Ballard Bar was packed and a little understaffed. They had to pull employees who were not familiar with the bar to helo out. It's such a beautiful place! Absolutely beautiful place. Have been there about 8 or 9 times and will keep going!

Charging luxury hotel prices ($600+/night) without even standard hotel service. Came to stay as an early Christmas present to see a concert at French Lick resort. Came back at 9:15PM after concert to a closed atrium restaurant that was advertised to be open on Friday night until 11. One half of the tiny bar was closed and roped off so to grab a night cap, had to wait 30 min to order from one bartender working a bar with only 4-5 bar stools (the other 2-3 available were blocked off for no apparent reason. Came down for breakfast in the morning to a 45 min wait for a table in a restaurant with over half the tables open. This hotel is severely understaffed and the staff that are there have zero concern about customer service. So disappointing after a much anticipated and very rare weekend getaway with my spouse. Wouldn’t come back if it was free to stay. Save your money!

Make it a point to spend one night or weekend here. An absolute incredible place to stay. Fantastic golf course nearby. The Spa your wife will be in 7th heaven. A place to just relax. And take the facilities in. The food and selection in the bar is all top shelf. Totally worth the weekend investment. Kids will love the size of the place, the pool, the outside. The local train ride. Great getaway weekend. Or a girls weekend. Winery within walking.

Overpriced and underwhelmed. Service was slow from the restaurants to getting anything to your room. For $600+ a night they should at least get a luggage cart to your room in less than an hour. Everything is overpriced and underwhelming… I have no problem spending good money when the food and service match the price tag. In the case of the west Baden , French lick , casino , and restaurant the price doesn’t match the service and quality … not by a long shot..

We love this property! Full of so much history and family-friendly atmosphere. The West Baden Hotel is luxurious but quaint in keeping with the times as the rooms are meant to reflect the era the hotel was built in and survived through. I’d highly recommend either a tour or a book from the gift store to better understand the property and its significance while you are there. The pool is huge and there is a large jacuzzi, so it was perfect for my little one. Beautiful facilities! There is a trolley and train that run throughout the day complimentary and will take you to the French Lick Springs property and other local areas, very convenient!

This place is a really unique experience. There is a significant amount of history to learn about the hotel. The grounds and facilities are beautiful. Rather you are going for over night stays or just a visit for the day, it is absolutely wonderful. The entire French Lick area is a wonderful experience regardless of the season.

Came here with my wife for our 1 year wedding anniversary and we were just blown away. Everything is just so classy and beautiful. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. There’s plenty to do in the surrounding area but I’d definitely recommend coming to stay for a special occasion. The balcony view absolutely blew my and my wife away. So cozy and romantic.

They think everyone likes Starbucks. The only coffee you can get on the property is Starbuck's. I paid $5 for a cup of coffee and poured it out because it tasted so bad.

Beautiful hotel and amazing staff! Highly recommend taking the informational tour offered through Indiana Landmarks tourism which is located inside the hotel! Our tour guide Dan was so full of information about the hotel history and super funny!

This was a lovely way to spend a relaxing weekend. We'll be back for sure. Our suite had plenty of room and seating, and the bed couldn't have been more comfortable. Sitting in the rotunda/atrium, watching people, and listening to the music was lovely. Walking around, inside and out, was just the right amount of effort we wanted to make this weekend. The food at Ballard's, Cafe Sinclair, and Xanadu was great, and the spa was indulgent. The only ding was some of the people providing services seemed unsure of what they were doing.

I have been staying here with the family on and off while we move from TN to this area. Hotel has been great and the staff has been very helpful for the most part. I do wish they paid better attention to Do Not Disturb signs though!

We stayed at the West Baden Springs Hotel for three nights, a Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It was the perfect getaway! They have lovely pools, a hot tub, hiking, and a fabulous front porch to enjoy! Their historical tours are also very interesting.

Ive only ever come for photoshoots but this last time brought the family because its such an incredible place that only seeing it in person does it justice. Worth a 2hr drive just to walk the grounds. I recommend reading up on it and the history before you come to enrich the experience.

Rooms were very nice. Shower and a separate tub in the bathroom. Slept great on the king bed and the couch was pretty comfy to sit on. The grounds are just spectacular and of course the dome

The West Baden Springs Hotel is a beautiful getaway spot for a weekend away. The dome is a truly awe-inspiring achievement and the history surrounding the property is very fun to read through. We ate at multiple on-property restaurants and the service was great there. However, our experience with the hotel lobby staff for both check-in and check-out was subpar. They rushed us for our information and weren’t welcoming. It was an unfortunate lowlight to an otherwise great trip!

What a magnificent long weekend! The West Baden Springs Hotel is an absolute gem — a breathtaking blend of historic architecture, gracious rooms, and serene surroundings. Every corner of the property feels like stepping back in time, yet with every modern comfort. The food options are all delicious, but breakfast at Sinclair’s stands out as a true treat — elegant, relaxing, and the perfect way to start the day. We loved our long walks along the scenic trails and even enjoyed a beautiful fall day of horseback riding. Everything about the stay was peaceful, rejuvenating, and first-class. Five stars without hesitation — can’t wait to return!

Went for tea. The tea was good. However, no chocolates and the cucumber sandwiches should have been served on artisan bread. Matcha cake was delicious and moist but the icing was very sweet.

Our family had an absolutely exceptional experience at the French Lick Resort, staying at the West Baden Springs Hotel. My husband and I brought our kids for a getaway, and from start to finish the trip exceeded every expectation. At check-in, Haley at the front desk set the tone with her kindness and professionalism, and Heather went out of her way to make our children feel welcome and engaged. Throughout our stay, the staff at every level—from horseback riding to the arcade, bowling alley, and beyond—were simply outstanding. Every single person we encountered was friendly, attentive, and truly seemed to care about making our visit memorable. Even when a small issue came up, the way it was handled left us impressed. Michael, the manager on duty, personally stepped in and went above and beyond to make sure everything was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. That level of attention and care is rare, and it made a huge difference in our stay. We also made nightly stops for ice cream at the West Baden shop, where we met Kim and her daughter, who were such a joy. Little moments like that really added to the warmth of the whole experience. Beyond the amazing staff, there was so much to do—horseback riding, games, shops, and even a fun little trolley to shuttle guests between the hotels and local spots. I even had the chance to sneak off to the casino for a bit of fun. The property itself is beautiful, full of charm, and offered incredible value for everything included. I can’t say enough good things about this resort. The people truly made it unforgettable, and we left already talking about when we could come back. Highly recommend the French Lick Resort and especially the West Baden Springs Hotel for families looking for a fun and memorable getaway with top-notch service.

Really wonderful historical hotel. The surrounding area is beautiful and there is plenty to do if you're a golfer or gambler. Stayed in a premium suite with one king bed and sitting room. Room was nice, but view was of the parking lot. Other than the valet who was friendly and helpful, service was pleasant, but primarily transactional. Food at the restaurant was delicious. If I return, I would definitely stay there again.
