Their ad says that they take plastic bottles.But when I went there, they were rude and inconsiderate.... They said they only take metal. I told them that they needed to change their ad that it was on there, and they said, yep, we know that!!

Newmans recycling has the most amazing, helpful, kind, friendliest employees. They treat all of their customers with the upmost respect. They always have a smile on their faces and greet you so kindly. I have gone to this location in Mooresville for a long time. I will never go anywhere else. Their pricing is so fair. They will also let you know when the prices either change or are changing. I recommend a 10 out of 10 to take your recycling to this location.

Scam alert! Ive been here multiple times turning in copper and the last 3 times ive been ripped off. The guy dewy or whatever his name is gets pissed off and starts yelling anytime i call things out and im not rude about it. Copper was pulled out of my tote therefor less weight, when i asked whats going on with that, the second guy doing the weighing said this is #2 so ok fine it was a copper bus bar. But he had also pulled out some heavy bare bright. When i got the receipt i never was paid for the #2 he pulled out and i guess the big chucks of bare he pulled out was for the house?? Idk these guys are a rip off and the moment you try to say anything Dewy freaks out. Been several times was thinking the last few was simply mistakes but no. I absolutely will not be going back. If i were you id go to the many other scrape yards with your copper. I also weigh my own copper before bringing in, ive never been paid what i actually bring in. RIP OFF!
Oh also ive had dewy say things like ill get you back when you come back. That never happend.
Trust me, take your copper elsewhere
This is the best metal recycling place/scrapyard in the Indianapolis area. Very clean with friendly service with accurate scales and fair payment! I highly recommend the drive from the city to avoid the major players. It's well worth the time, unless time is a factor.
I called and asked the price of #1 insulated copper. He told me $2.96. Once I got there he said $1.13. Then shorted me my money. Gave me a dollar on the pound. I was mad. He gave me my cash and asked if I wanted a receipt. I said no and left. Once I opened my wallet I was short $10. I called and asked to speak to someone else. He asked why I told him what he did. He said I could come back and he would give me my money back. He was the guy with glasses. If you see him beware.
This is the third time I have been to this scrap yard I was turned down the First two times there at 4:30 will before they closed and it wouldn’t take my scrap because he closed until out already this time I was there and they wouldn’t answer the phone or the door and they act like nobody was there even though it’s on a pulley drive around the dog it open for him and I still sat there and cold enough I still answered Sabrina three times in three years and have never been able to recycle anything or scrap anything that yard they’re not a very good scrapyard I would never recommend him to anybody for any reason but I just wanna waste time and money and gas
On my second visit being my last, I pulled up to the front around 4:41 and the owner walked out and informed me they were closing at 5 so I quickly got on the scale loaded the scrap off and went back to the front, as soon as I walked in the office the owners mood changes like a switch and starts telling me they were closed at 4:35 so I suggested as a friendly reminder as he kept talking over me he should change it on Google search so no one else gets misled like myself, but he wasn’t having it and started yelling/waving his arms as his employees watched the whole thing unfold and tells me to never to come back…..? being who I am I stayed calm controlled my posture and walked out…..
I was a frequent customer even spoke up when they gave me extra money on tickets that was not what I took in for scrap Dewey the golf cart guy screaming at people and normally is drinking on the job very rude I will never you welcome back there and I will never refer them again banned me because I picked up a frigerator that was loaded by a excavator that's still had food in it instead of banning someone give them a heads up told him I pulled it out of a fire and he called me a liar the owner Scott is a good guy and if I would act like Dewey the golf cart guy I get fired from a lot of jobs
Incredibly clean yard and the staff was friendly. I dont scrap things very often but I hated my experiences in Indy at the big places. Newman's was much better and I appreciated the help from the crew in unloading some of the heavier items I had.
If I could mark this as 0 star I would! Owner very rude and unprofessional. He tells me that I did not know how to separate aluminum or believe my experiences that I have had at other recycling centers. I can say that I rather go to other recycling centers than experience the ***hole encounter at Newman's!
True story! I walked in with a relative to sell some scrap and the white guy with glasses was sitting down doing nothing because there were NO Customers in the lot or the building, so he proceeded to start yelling about a $20 minimum, which is not posted anywhere, then told us to go somewhere else to make our "crack" money!!! Refusing to do business?!?!! No wonder there were NO CUSTOMERS there! I hope he doesn't treat elderly people like that! Needless to say, I will NEVER go back!
Cleanest recycling yard that I have ever seen! Very impressive. The guys are very helpful and don't seem to mind answering questions about different materials and how I should sort them. I don't know if the are the best paying place around but since I don't scrap all that often I will sacrifice literally a few dollars for the service and cleanliness. I could be wrong but I believe it's a reflection of pride in the workplace that has become far too uncommon these days.
Super clean and VERY helpful, I have never been there before and the guy that was there walked me through how and what to do, EZ, most scrap yards are confusing, but not this one, that have my business from now on!

Tried to scrap copper plumbing from a home I'm remodeling, was turned away even though I had receipts and proof of ownership. The guy was intoxicated and very rude.
Owner pulls up yelling carrying on because I the customer wasn't parked in the correct place while waiting for them to open up. He appeared to be drunk shaking all over or on some sort of narcotics. Wouldn't recommend this place
Convenient location however one of the employees was hateful, rude and unprofessional the other was a great help. Considering all the good reviews this was our first time here and I was completely caught off guard with his nasty attitude. Hope your day gets better dude.
